Suggestion on clamping the body, put the clamps on the tail end and elevate the joint end on a folded towel. The pull cut saw should press the guitar down to the bench and hold things firmly. Saw Tommy Hovington do something similar and it worked well.
Useful video! Thanks! I’d like to do a dovetail on my next build for the same reasons you did. Did you have that link to the blog that helped you do this? I’m trying to research as much as I can!
I think I may have found it?! jsevy.com/luthierie/guitarmaking_guide/dovetail_joint/dovetail_joint.html he uses the forstner bit to remove the mortise as you did...
Great advice! Like my father always says “measure twice, cut once!” Is it worth cutting slightly inside the mortice pencil lines and/or outside the tenon lines to allow for fine tuning the fit with chisels and sand paper?
Very beautiful
Thanks
Great job..very impressive
Thank you, and thanks for watching and commenting.

Sorry for not responding sooner, Adam. I am busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest.
That is the one, though!
No problem at all! Thanks for the confirmation! All the best!
Make certain you double check your inner and outer dovetail dimensions before you start excavating.
