Why is Trapper J breathing hard ? Well, let me tell ya. He's trappin. it's cold, he's climbing up and down hills wearing 20 pound waders, Setting 330's without a setters (something even I can't do.) He;s standing in ice cold water that exerts 800 times the force on his body that air does, then he has to pack out 100 pounds of beaver without a pack, all while filming. Lesser men would collapse and die.

It blows my mind watching him set 330's bare handed, breaking ice, and sticking his arms in up to the elbows in water that cold. That pond has more beaver than a baby shower.

Well done sir. There’s definitely no shortage of beavers in there. I trapped for years and it sucked setting those connibears when I forgot my setters and you are making it look easy with frozen hands. Hats off to you 👊.

Trapper J I’d definitely say that was definitely a good catch day especially since you was kinda in a hurry trying to set traps before it got dark on you last night!!! Five beavers is definitely way better than none for sure!!! Oh it brings me back to when I used to trap beavers!!! So much fun for sure!!! At least I enjoyed it!!! I remember my biggest beaver I ever caught throwing him over my shoulders not even really looking at how big he was or anything until I climbed up and out of a Creek and over a railroad track and I dropped!! The weight of him caught up to me and after dropping I finally figured out why it was so hard carrying him out!!! He was definitely a tank!!! But I’d definitely do it again for sure!!! Awesome video buddy and remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!!

On your drowner set where the beaver almost pulled out: I had one do that to me this fall. I went back and reset that property. Checking tomorrow and hoping I’ll have a couple. I’ve trapped this stream 2 other times, and I can’t seem to catch them here.

Wouldn't hurt to put out some baited 330s where the beavers are traveling in the deeper water with the thicker ice. Seeing as though they are probably hungry being locked up and no feed piles.

I had one get me when I was setting to catch a ground hog that was digging under the garage slab... could probably hear me swearing a mile away! No broken bones but that hand was technicolor with bruises! Friend was there and he opened it up so I could get my hand out. I helped him trap, I had 3 miles of county dredge ditch the beavers were damming up. Had 6 dams in that stretch! We took out the groundhog and 12 beavers that fall. Ground hog went on the smoker, tasty little critters!

Hey trapper j got a question , I have 80 acres mainly crp pollinator fields and about 26 acres of woods. Trying take out some coyote. They seem pass through every 4-5 days . Have creek running through farm with a river along north side. Traps being blown with possums and coons. Still a catch , I use mt. Man bait and hell fire anything else I can draw coyotes in with. Have fox, bobcat , and coyote urine I spray on also. Even my sign post sets are catching more coons than anything
