I just bought this one, I love it on its own but the lady at the counter told me to layer it with English Pear & Sweet Pea so I bought both and they’re stunning together! And I’m wearing the Velvet Rose & Oud today, which you can also layer with the same. ❤
Hello Hayley. Thanks for reviewing this. I grew up in a tropical country and all of the hibiscus in our country have no smell. It’s so interesting that Hibiscus Palm and Hibiscus Mahajad have their own interpretation of a fantasy note, I need to try this one too. ♥️
@@mariezapanta8839 - good point about a fantasy note. My parents are from the Caribbean and there are loads of different colours, but none of them have a discernable scent 🌺
I agree with you! I am from Tahiti, French Polynesia and my name means Aute means “Hibiscus” in Tahitian, and I grew up with Hibsicus flowers all around my Moms’ garden. All different colors and species and none of them have a scent. Some have a very slight smell but it’s so faint that it’s not something that you’re like “oh that’s a hibiscus smell” type of thing…so I always find it interesting when I see perfumes with a “hibiscus note”…
As an African that is right but wrong. Definitely not a fantasy note. There is an iced tea in a lot of African countries called « Bissap » / « folere » that is made out of dried hibiscus flowers and it smells and tastes EXACTLY like hibiscus mahajad.
I’m interested in trying because your description is straight forward. I absolutely love Scarlet Poppy and Ginger Biscuit. It seems I’m becoming a Jo Malone Girlie.
Thank you for this review Hayley, now I'm excited to get my hands on it! You mentioned 'Vetiver Golden Vanilla" I am on my second bottle now and I adore it even though it seems like there has been a slight reformulation since I bought my first bottle with the original packaging!
I tried this today and liked it but it reminds me of another perfume - I think omnia coral? which I own. I read some reviews after and some say l'interdit? I would have bought it otherwise as it is quite nice!
I never smell hibiscus either, except in lemon ice tea 😅 Which one do you like more.. this one or Jasmine Sambac & Marigold? (also from Jo Malone cologne intense collection)
I recently got this and I can’t figure out if I like it. I think I need to layer something over it like a strong citrus. It’s a little too sweet on its own for me.
@@hayley.clough I don’t dislike it, but I got Scarlet Poppy on the same day and I love that one. I need to try it on its own a few more times and try a few combinations.

Bought this a few days ago. I'm definitely going to try this duo. Thanks for the tip!
I like Red Hibiscus on it's own! So Good
I just love how easy Jo Malone fragrances are, even The Cologne Intense ones, they are perfect for something subtile, yet very good smelling 😍

Thanks so much for sharing, that is really helpful. I appreciate it.
They sure are beautiful tho! I love Hibiscus Palm. One of my favorite tropical florals, so realistic like walking thru a Hawaiian garden 😊

I really enjoy this new release. I also tried layering it with myrrh & tonka and it pairs absolutely stunning!!

Great review. Glad to see they’re bringing some of the fan favorites back(like ginger biscuit)
Awesome job Hayley
Thanks so much! 🙏🏼
I saw this as a good layering perfume to pair with sol de janeiro 40” and I wanna try it soo bad!! Thank you for the vid☺️
I just tried Red Hibiscus today and it's [really] good 🌺 It's definately better than Kilian "Sunkissed Goddess" 😊

Wow! Didn’t know about this new release but I will definitely try and get it when it’s available in my country🌺
I've got yellow hibiscus. It's nice. Once again, it's the longevity for me. Just doesn't last. I have a decant of red somewhere. I'll revisit it.
I own the one limited edition, and is very good.Engoyable smell
So beautiful isn’t it 🤗
Oh this sounds beautiful ❤
It’s very beautiful 😍
Great video ❤
I went into John Lewis yesterday and got to smell it. It’s a lovely scent.

I layer mines with Dolce and Gabbana the one a whole vibe

This one for sure, I love the added sweetness here
@@hayley.clough thanks Hayley
Do you have any recommendations for those who love Scarlet Poppy and want something longer lasting?
Hi Hayley. Does this have similarities with Camila K?
I recently got this and I can’t figure out if I like it. I think I need to layer something over it like a strong citrus. It’s a little too sweet on its own for me.
Ahhh that’s a shame, I find the sweetness mellows on me after an hour or so. Worth trying to layer it for sure

Scarlet Poppy is so lovely
I love it
