Mashallah. I love this couple so much! Clearly, so does all of YT. I want to share something with you both, and please know it comes from a place of love. Zainab has grown up in a culture rich with social interactions with family and friends, enjoying a vibrant life outdoors in sunshine and nature. She was her own person with her unique personality, likes, and dislikes long before she met you. Please don't try to change her too much. Let me give you an example: "Mahdi loved seeing his wife Zainab in a hijab and abaya, thinking it showed modesty and faith. Wanting to please himself, he asked Zainab to wear them regularly. Although she agreed at first, Zainab soon felt some kind of way, but only wanted to make her husband happy. Noticing her discomfort, Mahdi asked what was wrong. Zainab explained that while she respected his wishes, she felt pressured and preferred to choose her own way to express her faith. Realizing his mistake, Mahdi apologized and told Zainab she should dress in a way that made #her comfortable. He assured her that if she ever wanted his input or to wear the hijab and abaya, she could simply tell him. Mahdi listened to her and respected her feelings. By respecting Zainab's choices, Madhi learned that true love meant #supporting #her #freedom to decide for herself, which did #not make her a feminist. She just has a mind of her own and wants to use it." Also, please take her outside regularly and enjoy walks together, as she comes from a land with lots of sunshine and outdoor life. Since Canada has only a few months of warm and sunny weather, make the most of it. Inside the house, use bright lights to keep it cheerful and uplifting. She's used to nature's light almost every day, and without it, she might feel lonely and even begin to experience Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) in the winter months. Keeping the environment bright and engaging can help prevent any form of depression. Allow her to make a few friends locally of her own choosing. Her culture values heavy social interaction, and while talking to family on video screen is great, having local friends is important too for her mental health. If she asks for clothing or items unique to your culture, gladly provide them, but don't impose anything she hasn't requested. Did you ask if she wanted to wear the abaya and hijab, or did you decide for her? Yes, marriage is about compromise, but cultural identity is deeply rooted into a person, like DNA. If you wanted a woman who wears these items, it might have been better to choose someone from that background instead of imposing upon her individuality. She seems happy and willing to please you, but today it's the abaya and hijab-what will it be next week until she no longer recognizes herself? Remember, she has her own mind and preferences. Avoid becoming too controlling, which is a common complaint I hear in my practice, from women married to Muslim men. I hope you understand my sentiments. We only see snippets of your life through videos, but always keep her in mind. Despite her seemingly childlike behaviors, she is a human with her own mind, preferences, and desires. Love you both with the love of Allah.

@@zemiranajeeullah2068 Yep, he lost me with that "feminism" question. Feminism is merely the advocacy for women to have the same social, economic, personal, educational and political equality as men. @@nkemsells3714feminism as shown in the West is not compatible with Islam. Feminism calls for the complete liberation of women with no boundaries as long as she chooses it. I really love the Hijab It is easy to wear and gives dignity for every woman. Our ancestors also wore long robes and headscarves. Religion didn't matter, everyone wore long robes and covered their heads even the men.
*Feminism is compatible with Islam.* The definition of feminism is to give both men and women equal rights and treat women right. “the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the se.es” is literally the official definition and the Quran doesn’t say that women can’t have equal rights. The country you’re living in right now gives women equal rights. YOU are giving your wife rights. I agree with the old feminism. I respect the feminists who fought to get treated like *people* and not just as objects. I respect the feminists who fought to *work and earn a living.* I respect the feminists who fought for the right to have an *education and go to school* like the boys. I respect the feminists who fought to *wear what they wanted.* I *don’t* agree with the modern feminism and I don’t think the Quran would either but you have to look at why feminism was created because it was a real issue once upon a time and I don’t think they did anything wrong for standing up for themselves and asking for basic human rights. People used to be considered the property of their father and when married, their husband. Before marriage a women could be the social superior but after marriage, the husband was so they basically had no independence. If they divorced (for whatever reason), the man would be fine but women have no financial independence. Woman didn't have the right to open their own bank accounts, let alone get a credit card or mortgage. Without a man to rely on the women has nothing like literally nothing and she couldn’t even go to find a job because woman were not allowed to work or even go to school. She ends up homeless. *It’s not something to laugh at because people have di.d because of this and the Quran does support women’s rights. Women are considered sacred in Islam.*
Although yes the literal definition does align I With islamic values. Allah swt has mentioned in Quran that men and women are seen equally. But Modern feminism does not advocate what Quran and Sunnah does. Which is why most Muslim women don’t associate themselves as feminist. This also why I feel that I don’t have to assocIate with feminism because I follow Islam because Islam is just despite your gender and even people of other religions which many people were able to coexist peacefully under Muslim rule under the Ottoman empire. But yes I believe this why zainab said Islam is not compatible with feminism.
@@YR-jc5ur Modern feminism is not the *real feminism.* You can still be a feminist and not support the modern feminist views on things and if they were talking about modern feminism, they could have easily said that but they didn’t and they said *feminism in general* is not compatible with Islam when it IS compatible with Islam. I understand what she meant but I’m correcting them because if feminism didn’t happen, she would not be happy right now.
She is such a sweet and pure girl. She truly deserves the absolute best. How are her African traditional clothes not practical for there, but the hijab and abaya are?
The clothes she is wearing in this video expose her back, neck, chest and forearm. He and the MIL clearly prefer her in their traditional Islamic wears "from their culture" where that is covered. Extremely common for Islamic men to want the woman to conform to their way. What can she do? She is dependent upon him now in a foreign land. So even if she didn't like the clothes (which I think she did), she would have to agree anyway.
@@nkemsells3714 I agree. I know he wants her to conform to his cultural values in terms of dress. So, he should just say that and not say that her traditional African attire is not practical in Canada. I wish nothing but the best for her as she is a very sweet and kind soul.

I love it so much hun
Very true and eloquently put 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Yeah so true Thks l support ferminism for the world of today we are living in
Although yes the literal definition does align I
With islamic values.
The way she's jumping when gifted 🥹🥹so adorable and full of life.God bless you guys❤
Thanks❤
Her mother inlaw is sweet ❤
Lovely good job I am Muslim and love abaya
She is such a sweet and pure girl. She truly deserves the absolute best. How are her African traditional clothes not practical for there, but the hijab and abaya are?
The clothes she is wearing in this video expose her back, neck, chest and forearm. He and the MIL clearly prefer her in their traditional Islamic wears "from their culture" where that is covered. Extremely common for Islamic men to want the woman to conform to their way. What can she do? She is dependent upon him now in a foreign land. So even if she didn't like the clothes (which I think she did), she would have to agree anyway.
@nkemsells3714 you have time oo😂
@@nkemsells3714 I agree. I know he wants her to conform to his cultural values in terms of dress. So, he should just say that and not say that her traditional African attire is not practical in Canada. I wish nothing but the best for her as she is a very sweet and kind soul.
@@hajiabeauty400 we ALL do. Just depends on how you want to pass that time oo 😉
@@nkemsells3714u go explain tire..........Am a Nigerian....if not dat abaya are quiet expensive.......I would prefer more of it on my closet. Who traditional attire help.

Asalaam Alaikum. You both are awesome. I enjoy watching Zanaib receive gifts from her husband. Rasullulah gifted his wives. I'm an African American hijabi and my husband is an African American Muslim as well. We enjoy gifting. I agree with Mendhi 's analysis of Western muslimahs. Our ummah is struggling, I see it too.
Both of you deserve love , respect, and happiness.
This Deen is a blessing. May Allah always bless you both and increase all of us in faith.
