Wow! I was busy getting ready to go camping so I took my computer to bed to watch #27 and I saw that my friend Rose and I won the “Each One Teach One” gifts! I jumped out of bed!!! Sheri, your friendship and Colorado Cross Stitcher are a bright GOLD ⭐️ star in my life and a beautiful strong WILLOW 🌳 tree! My favorite tool is my stitching chair. My husband bought it for me to nurse our first daughter and it has been recovered four times~ it fits my body perfectly!

I struck gold last weekend attending Stitch-Con. There were so many talented stitchers. It was a wonderful experience. As I sit and stitch ,I am watching gardeners trimming my neighbors willow tree. Great video I have stitched Hands on Designs Dog block party and Mend block party. I have two others to stitch. They are so much fun and not difficult to put together.

I have I little tin that something came in, that I use as my cross stitch tool box. It's only about 3"x3"x1". It's about the perfect size for everything. My favorite tool, is my trolley needle, I use it as a laying tool to make my stitches neater. I love the gold bag, it's gorgeous!

Your Quaker Dwelling is beautiful! It's always fun to see your videos. They are so full of good stuff! The gadget that I can't live without is called a dolally. I bought it years ago and I don't think that person still makes them, but I hope that someone does, and maybe calls it something else. There is a bent wire, like a giant eye of a needle, on one end and a little wire hook on the other with little chain in between for length. When you stitch to the bitter end of your floss and don't have enough length to turn the needle and go through your stitches to finish off, you use this. The thin wire "eye" runs under your stitches and the hook grabs your thread tail to thread the "eye". Then you pull the wire "eye" back out and your thread is secured. This girl needs a gold willow.

As usual another wonderful flosstube to ooh and ahh over!! The GOLD project bag is so beautiful and the WILLOW pattern book is very inspiring, would love either. Being an old time sewer/quilter my most used tool is a sewing awl. I use that like a third hand for almost every project. My collection of seam rippers contain at least 6 beautiful wooden handle ones and when I use them I just smile. Thank you for the inspirations and the good time with you and your calming attitude for us, my 4 legged purr-fect companion enjoys our time to sit and relax

I always look forward to seeing what you are working on, what tools you find helpful, and all the patterns and projects you have brought out to show us from your store. One of my favorite tools I actually bought as a souvenir while on a trip in Norway. It is a small beautiful wooden dust pan and brush that restaurants use to brush crumbs from tablecloths. I use mine to brush off the bits of fabric from my cutting table. Another favorite is a wooden needle storage tube. It’s pretty with a carved design on it but more importantly I can find it in my needlework bag and it keeps my needles safe. The gold needle kit bag looks handy and I want to make the adorable Willow long pillows. Thanks for another great video.

So much goodness today, thank you. You get a gold star for all you shared! Now, my tool I can't stitch without is my magnetic metal sheet that I use to hang my design on with magnets also extra magnets to hold my scissors. I'm not sure I could stitch without my pink metal sheet. Living in S. Louisiana, we have numerous willow trees around our property, gotta love their graceful sway with the breezes we are having. Thank you for sharing beautiful designs.

I am awarding you a gold star for consistently well done videos. I love the component parts of each one and am always delighted with the little stitchy accessories you find. I have noticed that many of the samplers have stylized willow tree motifs. Love the tree and the motifs. Since using overdye threads, I now keep a roll of blue painter's tape at the ready so when I pull out my mistakes, I can pick up the floss bits easily off the fabric. I wear bifocals and use Magni-Clips now to see the increasingly small holes on fabric. The lenses sit low over the bifocal only allowing me to see clearly above without having to flip them up, though they also do that. I got them on amazon. My last sort of tool is the ribbon lanyard I use with my stork scissors attached on a clip so that I can wear them around my neck while stitching and they are always handy and at hand. Lastly, I am thoroughly loving Stitch Camp, my first but won't be the last.

Besides my storage area, I have two tool kits that I keep close at hand when I’m stitching. the first hangs over the arm of my stitching chair, and it holds things I use everyday like threaders, scissors, needles, a seam ripper, and tweezers. I also have a plastic storage bin with dividers for things I use every project, but not necessarily every day. That holds extra needles, peels to hold my folded up fabrics, a whole punch to punch additional holes in my thread tags, pens, highlighters, additional threaders and extra scissors. This system works well for me and allows me to have these things available but not cluttering up my immediate stitching area and not requiring a deep dive into my large storage area. The things I keep close change sometimes depending on the project, but these are “must haves” for every project. Gold. Willow.

Hi Sheri, My most useful “tool” in my project bag is a home made gold tipped 28 needle with a doubled strand of sewing thread on it to pull stray threads through with the loop of thread on the needle. I have several and keep one at my stitching nest and one in my travel bag. I have a small plastic container too that I take traveling. Very handy. One of my favorite trees is the Willow. I remember one being on the pond at my grandparents farm. We used to swing on the drooping branches into the pond water. So fun. Have a lovely week. Hugs, Teresa.

I stitched the Buzz block party by HOD about 5-6 years ago. The finishing was so easy. The hardest part of the project was cutting the gold wool for the top to the right size and attaching with the stitching. In my stitching tool case I have a measuring tape, 6” ruler, leather thimble, hi-lighter, small grab-it tool to grab and pull needle on my canvas projects, laying tool, invisible thread for beads, large needle with attached bling to use as counting tool.

I have more than one “tool” in my bag every where I go…a ruler marked in 11 count, 14 count, 18 count, and 22 count markings. I’ve had it over 35 years, so I wish I could find an updated one with 16 count. The other “tool” I must have is my lighted magnifying glass to hang around neck for those hard to see stitches. The GOLD fabric is very appealing. I need to check out Joyful Stitching Store!!!

My favorite use every time I stitch tool is my thumb needle and pin cushion. I used to put it on my ring finger, but it was then behind my work-in-hand fabric. I switched it to my thumb and it is great. I make them out of a 3 1/2 inch square of fabric folded into a triangle, turned, stuffed and closed. Then sew the two bottom corners together to fit the thumb. I like your refrigerator dishes! Willow.

This is the first time I've seen your floss-tube...and am SO happy to have found you!! I'm enthralled with all of your patterns, WIPs and products. Something I keep in my project tool bag is a white eraser. It helps to get the bits of fuzzy off the fabric after frogging. Gold and Willow.

I used to wear gold jewelry but since I let my hair go grey, I now wear silver jewelry or white gold. One of my fav trees is a willow tree. It's graceful branches are great to hide in while you read. My fav tool in my stitching spot is a wonder clip. Sometimes I need an extra hand with my floss or my fabric is too long so I clip it up or even sometimes my hair bangs get in my way.... it sticks to my needle minder too.

“I really want a chocolate faucet!” 😂 Me too! Your Quaker Dwelling finish is gorgeous! Love your cat block. Those blocks are so darling. I have the bee one and I am not surprised when you said - there’s a lot of stitching in these. Thanks for sharing, xx, Tricia

My toolbox is a waterproof cosmetic bag that holds my scissors, Stitcher's Best Friend (great when you need to pull or ease thread ends behind previous stitches when ending a working thread), needles and anything else I might need. I love the soft coloration in the gold bag. So nice to meet your feline and love the cat box. It came out really cute. Think I might need to try one too.

I wish I had a tool tip but truthfully I could use some tips myself! LOL. Your leather cigarette case is perfect for scissors. Great find!! The quaker dwelling finish is gorgeous and you should win a gold medal for it! Willow is the name of my friend's pet bunny. 🥰

Your Quaker Dwelling turned out so beautiful! Thank you for showing hoe a linen color can really change the look of a piece. I have a small wooden tray on the table next to my stitching spots that has a couple of pin pillows I've made in it along with other odd and ends. My favorite tool in there however is a rosewood laying tool. Not only is it beautiful but invaluable when I may be using 3 strands of floss on 14/28 count to achieve better coverage. Sometimes I use it for counting stitches too. I call it my mini wand! The gold sunflowers in my garden are getting so tall but not as tall as a willow. Take care & keep stitching!

I just bought myself a new must have tool for my tool kit, it doesn’t actually fit into a small portable kit, but it’s portable and I take it with me if I’m going to stitch anywhere because it’s necessary for me and that’s a cordless light with magnifier. I recently picked up a size 28 needle and couldn’t thread it at all! I could seen my 32 count fabric without any problems, but could not thread my needle! I went to a size 26 needle but ordered the light I’d seen someone else in my guild use at the last meeting. Such are the vagaries of aging - which of course beats the alternative! I’m not sure if my little chargeable lamp is the GOLD standard of lamps, but it’s perfect for me!

I upgraded my seam ripper a few years ago. It is a decorative brass piece and even though I don't love when I 'have' to use it, I love it when I get to use it! I saw the Lila's Studio piece "Let Freedom Ring" at an EGA show this spring and it is stunning. It got my vote for best in show! A 'tool' I use is a shallow 12x18 inch tray which has a layer of felt in the bottom. When I sit at my sewing table, I keep most of my project supplies on the tray. When I have to use my sewing machine it is easy to pick up the tray and move my things out of the way. gold

I have family in Albuquerque too and it’s such a treat to go to Stitchers Garden! I have a Snag Nab-it in my tool caddy. I use it on my stitches if one needs a little “adjusting” and it’s great for pushing back a wayward thread that I didn’t clip off close enough to my fabric that has now snuck from the back to the front of my project. Gold Willow

My tools are here and there and a container would be great! Gold or golden even :) I'll have to keep that in mind to come up with something. I keep my scissors right in front of me on the desk but counting pins; my tool suggestion for the day, are in my pin cushion near my sewing machine and having something closer to where I work on my HAED while watching FlossTube doesn't have one either. Where have I been?
I usually keep a needle in a tote with my various projects and a few have scissors in there too with all the floss drops and floss so I just don't immediately think of a tool station or container. Sounds like it would be smart to keep such a thing on my desktop.
Loved your finish and how fun you've made your calendar book with stickers. The stories they tell!

Gold is my favorite color floss to stitch with. I don’t have a tool kit, but I’m new to cross stitching and would love to learn more about all the tools everyone uses. It might be fun to stitch a willow tree. Thank you for your videos. I learn a lot. You are an enabler and I love it. Thank you.

Sharp, sharp pointy tweezers (Diamond painting or jewelry making type) to get any dog hair that’s trying to join the project and washi tape to remove any fuzz left over after frogging. Both are worth their weight in gold 😉 I love your Quaker Dwelling finish, it’s beautiful, and the fabric choice makes it so unique.

What a gold find I found when I discovered your floss tube! I wish I had a willow bush like I used to have growing up. I recently started cross stitching against, so I am paying attention to what others have in their tool box.

Thanks for explaining how the Hands on Design blocks can be stitched together. I appreciate all your helpful tips. A tool I like to use is different colored highlighters. I can use them on my working copy to keep track of where I am on my stitching. It is especially helpful on patterns that have frequent color changes. I really liked the gold project bag.

I have several favorite tools that I love to use for stitching. I recently started using “GoodNotes” on my iPad for my patterns. Thought I would just use it for digital patterns, but I quickly discovered the advantage of being able to blow up the patterns to read them easier and the ease of keeping track by highlighting where I have stitched. Now I snap a picture of my pattern, turn it into a PDF and then move it to GoodNotes. I also keep a tray beside me on the couch to keep all my stitching necessities in. That way they don’t wind up sliding down on the floor or down between the cushions. Oh, and a Snagnabit to get the fuzzies to the back when I have to rip out naughty stitches. I’d like to plant a GOLD WILLOW in my backyard.

One of my favorite tools is a disposable mascara wand. I use it for brushing away the lint on my linen after I have a ripping episode. They are even more fantastic for cleaning the lint out of my sewing machine. Very very inexpensive on Amazon. That's my gold tip.

I keep 10 squares/inch graph paper in my stitching supplies so I can work out any changes or additions I want to make to a pattern - especially adding names and dates. And my mind isn't too creative tonight so "gold" because I'd love that project bag and "willow" because those skinny pillows are precious 🙃
