That is the one big drawback of playing the recorder, when you go over 2 octaves you have to start coving the end hole - you just have to make sure you don't knock your teeth out in the process!!

1) Это альт в барочном строе ля=415 Гц. На блокфлейте никогда не используется перекрытие отверстий вторыми фалангами. Тем более на альте и теноре. На других разновидностях флейт использование вторых валанг иногда встречается.

I would advise a recording at Erasmus House in Brussels. Walls covered with leather. Amazing acoustics.
