I have done this hike many times over in the last couple of summers and it's beautiful!! The views are something else. Ive never stayed at the camp site but definitely would like to! Interesting to see it in another season. Nice hike!
Thanks man! I really appreciate it, and glad you enjoy them. I know your orginally from this area so if there's a place you'd like to see me explore I'd like to hear it.
So beautiful! I hope I can go here one day. Until then I will continue to watch your vidoes~loved the footage from 2014! What an amazing hike! Thanks for taking me along with you!
Thank you! Lake Superior rarely freezes over enough to be able to access the caves in the winter. I might have to explore them with a sea kayak some day. Next video I was thinking of putting something together for the best trail challenge you started. Appreciate the support!✌
@@UpNorthAdventures I think kayaking would be such a great way to see it as well. I hope you do upload my favorite trail video! I would love to see it so make sure you let me know when you do!! Have a Great weekend
That's a lot of blowdown to deal with. Hope they have the staff resources (or volunteers) for some trail maintenance this summer. And talk about a cocoon -- that was quite the layered sleeping system by the time you got it all assembled. Kudos for heading out in winter.
It was hard with snowshoes and the snow drifting over the trail. I talked to the ranger and they spent last fall clearing a lot of it and plan on going back out again. Cocoon is a good way to describe it. I don't usually use my sleeping pad, but it helped. I didn't get out enough this winter. Glad I got this trip in before the heat wave were having now😎
What a fantastic trail...good to see a trail that makes it a bit easier to use with stairs and bridges...looks like it could have been cold...but can deal with the cold, it is being in wet conditions that makes it hard for me...but you learn to dress for it...and Otis, my Bernese, doesn't seem to mind one way of another...lol
Exactly! I would rather it be cold than wet any day. It was a dry snow too. My dog is a rescue dog from Texas but she loves the cold. Not quite ready to bring her winter camping yet though.
I’ve been to the Apostle Islands and the sea caves in the summer but not during the winter, what a great idea Kevin👍🏼! Bummer that it wasn’t stable enough. That cold weather was only a couple weeks ago but feels like much longer, thank God. What an amazing sunset! You were eating better than I do at home. I think you could have stayed a couple more nights😉.You’re an animal for getting out in that stuff🥶!
Hi Matt, I went out to the caves in a canoe once. Big mistake! Lol sea kayak next time. I wish I would've stay a couple more nights. Winter abruptly ended the day after this trip. Two nights before it was -38 and the day after it was 40!
You've got one hell of a channel here!! Great editing. I need some Crud Cloths! Glad I found you! Fellow winter camper and hammocker here too. I'm a rookie though so I'll learn a lot from you I think!
It's so cold but the site is so beautiful. Good time to admire nature. Have fun! Thumbs up! 30
It was beautiful, and despite the cold I was comfortable for the most part. Thanks for the like!😁
That trail just made my list. Great video.
Thanks for the review. I bet that warm Crud Cloth felt great!
👍absolutely!👍
Looks like quite a trip!
It was a good one! Some nice scenery, good challenge and cold enough to haul in some good grub!🥩🤤 Thanks for watching!

It would be a great site to pull a boat up to and set up camp. Nice sandy beach! Gonna try to camp at one of the islands this summer.🤞
3 things I get excited about at this stage of my life:
3. A good night’s sleep.
2. My back not hurting.
1. A new video from this channel!

@@UpNorthAdventures I will take you up on that! I had some places in mind but I can’t think of them at the moment. I’ll let you know.
@@UpNorthAdventures are there campsites near Morgan Falls?
We shall see.. stay tuned lol
