      I'm a new esthetician therefore I'm trying to learn a lot of details and tips, especially the basic organizing, cleansing and products choices ones. So for right now my questions are, how many towels do you use per client? How do you clean these towels afterwards? And what other things/tools do you use to clean and take off masks? And I also have noticed that you don't use water to clean or take off masks and products, which is a good thing in my opinion; it saves time and water...so can you touch upon this issue please!

    what are differences as far as what you are looking for between being surface dry and dehydrated? Also, how do you feel about tools like clarisonics/ sonic brushes to cleanse? Love your videos. I am an esthetician and I really enjoy your videos. They are very informative! :)

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  4 роки тому

      Surface dryness is the very very outer layer... dehydration is deeper involving the levels. The clarisonics are ok for some skin types, just don't over use.

      Dermalogica offer some advance training for licensed aestheticians. You could start there and just keep watching the videos and practice on clients is the best way to learn. :)) you gotta just jump in....... make a list of skin questions...e.g skin type, sub-condition, blackheads, rosacea etc. have this list beside you when you work on your clients and look at it. Force yourself to use the list to keep you diagnosing during the facial so eventually your eyes will be trained to look without having a list beside you;))

    Hi Nerida,
    What do you think about saunas ( not necessarily used for face but rather body after exercise) and dry brushing the face? Love the insight you give us.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 років тому +3

      Hi Diana,
      I personally love how saunas make me feel, but they are not so great for the skin on my face. A little steam (the moisture) is better. I love dry brushing on the body also, but not on the face...... it is too stimulating in a scratchy-kinda-way:))

    Hello Nerida, what are your thoughts on use of toner used in Korean beauty Regine.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 років тому +1

      Some toners are also drying, but many are not. I usually ask my clients if they like using a toner as some feel it cleans their skin better then without it. If their skin is in good shape and they enjoy using it i say.....go for it! But don't use it because you are not being thorough with your cleanser. In many cases it is just not necessary and to keep a regime simple which is what some people like.... it then becomes a choice as it is an extra step.

    thank you very much for video, i always have a question in my mind, now you apply the exfoliate with your hand. i think all these cleansing and exfoliating have effect in our hand also! for example you have over 38 years experience in this industry, do you suggest to wash our hand in during the facial or having gloves ? thank you again

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 років тому +4

      Yes, I do prefer to use my hands in application then a brush. Some stronger professional strength aha exfoliators I use cotton swabs or just cotton rounds generally after extractions. But the exfoliator i use in my treatment after cleansing is a retail product so it is not that strong nor does it cause dryness to my hands. I do however wash my hands before starting my clients and always verbalize that to them, and, several times during my facial as well.

    Been watching for a while, and I understand you don’t shoe the labels of the products you use. However I would really find it helpful to know what the enzyme exfoliant is, the name of it. I’ve tried to find an enzyme exfoliant and I cannot find one anywhere. My skin is incredibly dry and ruddy, is really like to know which one you use. I really hope you reply.

      I would start him on a good sunblock......@Colorescience sunforgetable spf50 comes in a powder retractable brush. Golfers love it! He has to be really good with sunblock before thinking about trying to lighten the hyper pigmentation.
