    Hi Nerida. I am so glad you upload more videos about acne. I have oily acne prone skin with very huge pores . I always clean my face at night and take care of my skin but my pores always filled with blackheads. What is your suggestion for keeping my pores clean, smaller and less blackheads? Wish you could do a thorough video about pores 😊

    • @NeridaJoySkincare

      You have to cleanse with the right cleanser (as I show in my cleansing video) and exfoliate. Then you have to use aha's to keep your pore size always small:)) You will learn watching my Kelly videos:)

    Hi Nerida. I have some pitted scaring from chronic cystic acne as a teenager. (I did go on Acutane almost 10 years ago, and I still get breakouts mainly hormonal but nothing nearly as bad as I used to be.) I am still a more oily skin type. I know I still need to hydrate my skin, but I thought facial oils will be more nourishing for my scaring and will help plump my skin and make it more supple in general. The one I use now does not cause my face I break out at all which is great (it is a dry oil serum). I can tell when some products are too heavy and do cause me to break out, but I didn’t think this particular oil was over nourishing my skin. Is it alright that an oily skin use light non-comedogenic facial oils for hydration and nourishment? What could happen if you over nourish the skin? Also, couldn’t an oily skin type get away with using a facial oil as a moisturizer? Thank you as always. :) -Dee

    Ms. Joy how do u feel about biotin supplements?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 років тому +2

      It's ok. I don't believe in just taking pills for the sake of "It's a vitamin"...., unless you are really deficient in it. People take too much just because.....????? you pee most of it out anyway. I had client that was given supplements (vitamins) that stimulated the enzyme to her liver so much they, and she, thought she had liver cancer for a couple of months until they found out the cause.
      Biotin is given for skin, hair and nails..... Boosts of it may help ....or not:)) That would have to be a personal decision or talk to your doctor if you are concerned about it:)

      If your acne clears when you are NOT exercising it is hormonal... its the male hormone testosterone that activates with exercise, thats why a lot of body builders don't have great skin. Testosterone = acne sadly for many:(( See an endocrinologist and use good skincare. My Daniella videos may be helpful to you. You may need to try the Daniella kit:)

    I’ve learned so much from watching your videos. I’m not an esthetician, but just wanted some guidance on general home guidance for skin care.
    My question is...does a scrub work similarly to a facial brush like with soft bristles or Clarisonic, etc., to remove the surface dryness?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 років тому

      I am not as much a fan of scrubs as I am absorbing exfoliants.....(i.e. the rejuvi exfoliating mask or the valmont clarifying pack) sometimes scrubs make you more surface dry.

      @@cohavazeevi232 Whatever i feel i need to do on my clients skin at that moment .... if i want it to be stronger i will do retinol first ...if not the other way:)) Most skins are sensitive so i will usually use another serum before the retinol....:))

    I've seen you mention "icing" the skin before. When during the routine do you recommend doing that?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 років тому

      Usually i will ice over top of the mask...at the end:))

      This might be a stupid question, but when you talk about cleansing the skin twice, does that mean - use cleanser take off with warm wet wash cloth, then use cleanser again and take off with luke warm water?

      yes it does:))

    Does Carol know that she has a face that belongs on the stage? She reminds me of Leontyne Price.
