    Thank you for this mill tour! It’s one of the places I want to visit in Wyoming, and I love supporting American grown sheep farmers and wool businesses. Been a fan of mountain meadow’s yarns for a couple of years now

    Great video. Loved the tour and even more, the story. I hope the owner gets that book written and then reads for the audio book herself. Such a sweet lady and obviously proud of what they've accomplished. Hope the business continues to grow!

    Natalie, this was your best tour to date! I had no idea there was such a big production in Wyoming, and they’ve only had the business up and running less than 20 years, which is amazing! Thank you so much 😊. I was in Wyoming very briefly years ago to see Yellowstone, but now I that I know about this mill when I go back, I hope to visit it. I hope that when you come to the DMV you will not only visit Fibrespace in Alexandria VA, which is very popular, but will also visit our newest LYS, Gathering Yarns, which is right across the Wilson bridge in Fort Washington Maryland. It is one of the few black women owned yarn stores, run by Terri Haynes who is also the indie dye owner of At Haynes House Yarns. They are creating a culture and community for knitters and crocheters in Prince Georges county which has lacked the fiber arts.

    Great video, I like how you let her talk and not interrupt or add music or other stuff, you let her share her store and processes.

    I was there in 2022 and bought some fiber to spin. My husband loves his hat and our friends like the blanket and other things they bought. The knitting machines are a new addition since we visited. I hope to go back sometime. I just love visiting Wyoming.

    These videos just bring a smile to my face every time. My grandma hand knit and also had machines. Oh how I wish I had shown interest when she was still with us on this Earth. Thank you for yet another fantastic episode! I may be a day or so late catching up but I never miss a single one. Thank you. Continued good vibes for safe travels for you, Kent and Toaster.

    I'm on the other side of the planet and won't be buying any product from her store, but one day I'd love to get a copy of that book. Such a role model for rural renewal and enterprise!
    Where do they get their machines from?

    I'm European and have never heard of "Ort". It is a german word, meaning "place", though.

    • @eleonorahof1001
      @eleonorahof1001 6 місяців тому

      It’s not like Europe is a country with a singular language…. I looked it up and it is in fact an English word but only used in British English. So I guess they better change the sign in order not to give the impression that this is a term used all over Europe.

    • @junimondify
      @junimondify 6 місяців тому

      @@eleonorahof1001 I never said it was. I was just thinking out loud, because I've never come across it although speaking some european languages.

    Seems misleading advertising to call the yarn “mountain merino” when it is made of other sheep breeds.

    • @mountainmeadowwoolmill6805
      @mountainmeadowwoolmill6805 6 місяців тому +2

      Rambouillet is under the Merino classification. Targhee and Cormo are blends of Merino and other such as Corriedal. Merino can also be used as a word to describe fine wool.

    Shame that the yarn cost fortune 😢
    To make sweater cost over 100. I can’t imagine if you want to make a blanket
