As Ambassador Andrew Young and President Carter said, "Uganda is the food basket of Africa. Everything, I mean everything grows there!" You have not tasted a real avocado until you eat one in Uganda.
I am from Sudan. I would like to thank the Ugandan people and the Ugandan government. The Ugandan people are very beautiful and kind people. I love them.❤❤❤
Wow, wow, just wow. My family and I have been looking for a detailed video like this. You have satisfied every woman here who has a question about food prices and give us an idea. Thank you so much. Please continue these video. May the most high bless you.
Thank you for your Beautiful video. Uganda look much like Nigeria but the only difference is that cost of rent is expensive in Uganda compare to similar neighborhood in Lagos or Abuja because rents are paid annually in Nigeria. I find the cost of Food, Meat and Vegetables more expensive in Uganda than Nigeria. This video makes me to appreciate living in Nigeria.
I love Uganda... especially my Granny from my Tanzanian wife and the women, people in general. Can't wait to come back. I have met some wonderful people with wonderful insight. Best wishes.
I love seeing all these fresh foods it's my food heaven. Whenever I go home to Ug I avoid shopping in the supermarkets because its more expensive. But also I love the feeling of shopping in market I feel at home and I feel more connected to my people
Wow, food in abundance and reasonably price looking from the Caribbean where I am located "Barbados". Cost of living here is mad and the prices on food is very high. Plantain here go for $6.45 /Kilogram.
Awsome video,Uganda is such a beautiful place I miss the grasshopper me nd my wife would search the nomugongo markets for it,she is from lira I will b going again soon in the coming months I hope to meet u there my name is John Yan
Food prices depend on the location. Such a market where she's at, are higher compared to downtown markets in closing hours of business. They vendors spread out on the pavements and would beg buyers to clear stock of the day. So best time to shop for food is from 5.30 pm onwards. U get quite alot more than early or mid day deals.
But u also risk getting sold poor quality n spoiled food that they cldn't sell during the day when it was bright outside when customers were paying mo attention. But its amazing that at the end of the day everyone finds what they need based on their income.
Thanks for the great video👏🏼I always thought life in Uganda is cheap/affordable, im shocked most of your foods are expensive in the markets compared to Kenya but you got great variety. I'd love to eat the Ugandan matoke when i visit
A great detailed video and explaining very well all about the food and transportation cost .If you could recommend some affordable AIRBNB for foreign visitors who are visiting Kampala for first time what areas they should be looking for with safe areas. Nice one
Although, i find Uganda to be expensive, U did the best cost of living video that I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot in more than 10 years of reading and watching videos about countries all over the world. I salute U for an excellent work! 👏🏾👍🏾 Thank U.
I’m on my way to visit in a few months, I can’t wait to come, I know this will not be my last visit, I am envisioning myself living here. I’m originally from west Africa, living in the US, and looking to move back to Africa, but I want to explore East Africa beginning with Uganda. Thanks
Living in Ireland and while some of the fruit and veg is cheaper some isn't. But what is shocking is that food is very expensive in comparison to the average wage!
Came across you videos some days ago, now after witching one of two of them i thought it necessary to be a fan . New subscriber from Nigeria 🇳🇬 hoping to pay a visit in the future . Great job my dear keep it up .
Great content! Keep ip the good work. Actually, I've just returned from Uganda and must admit watching the video brings about so many fresh memories :) Thanks for the SafeBoda app reccomendation. Btw, I always find the name IRISH POTATOES funny, as I come from Poland and those potatoes are staple food here, but we never call them IRISH. In fact, we tend to think they're very Polish ;)
@@RaeKembabazi that would be my Mecca as I'm sick of ireland and it's degradation and it's sickness that is being infected into ireland from LGBTQ+MAPS American agenda
It was very smart of you to make this video! You gave a pretty detail idea of the cost of things in Uganda. The fruits & veggies prices are really reasonable in comparison to New York City prices. Thank you!
@M45N There isn’t always a relationship between the price of goods and services and income in any given country. Despite our Agricultural industry being heavily subsidized by our government, the price of fruits and veggies remain high. Many low income Americans purchase way more processed foods than fruits & veggies because they are too expensive, not because they don’t have access.
Cost of living is very affordable (coming from the Caribbean) but the MOST important part you forgot and left out is HOW MUCH DO JOBS PAY? WHAT IS THE MINIMUM SALARY AND HIGH END SALARIES? WHAT JOBS ARE EASY TO GET AND HARD TO GET? WHAT DO BUSINESS REQUEST BEFORE HIRING? In most places, if cost of living is low, then jobs and business also pay low salaries. How much is a full body massage? What about entertainment, like tours, movies, games, sports, and plane tickets to nearby nations????? Thank you soooo much for being a representative for Kampala City. You are the Mayor. 😂
There’s barely no jobs in Uganda, maybe starting a business, could be selling food. Average Uganda job could pay anywhere from $150 to $300 a month A massage is about $25-$30 A beer is most bars is $1.3 and plane ticket to Nairobi for example could be about $300-$400 (flying in Africa is more expensive than most continents/countries)
Têns un hermoso trabalho de transmitir os custos de vida em Kampala, é muito interessante porque necesito visitar a Uganda no próximo ano! Bom trabalho ❤
Thank you for sharing and for being so thorough. I think I will increase my vegetable intake since everything is so fresh and well priced. Compared to the US the meat is priced well especially the fish but I was surprised at the cost of chicken. Though I’m sure because it’s fresh it’s well worth it.
Very nice and informative video my dear friend. Presently i am in Mozambique but sooner coming to Uganda. Will meet you and take help from you. Obrigado
This is FANTASTIC! What an informative video! Watching your videos all the way here in New Zealand. Really enjoyed comparing prices to things over there to prices over here! 😍 Thank you 💜

Very good video, Iam in the USA, now i wish i know someone in Uganda so i can come, and the lady in the market saleing the gore green that is camera shy is very beautiful.
Very informational video but thank you for the heads up. I would have to vegetarian while visiting because I am not messing with any meat that is not wrapped up and protected from fly larvae.

Good to know but Very expensive compare to western world.

You haven't tasted a real banana until you eat one in Uganda.
If there is heaven on earth it is Uganda but the people are lazy and can not fight for anything anyone can rule Ugandans
i tasted alot of best avocados in LasPalmas, GranCanaria which is also Afrika but devils i.e. spainyards colonized it.

Look at the money value…1 dollar is 3660 shillings…how much is a dollar in Nigeria? I live in America…it sounds cheaper if I am gonna use dollars.
Great vidéo. I ve been to close in Rwanda. Next year I Hope I Can spend some Time in your beautiful country. Greeting from Morocco 🇲🇦🇺🇬

Thank you for doing such a detailed breakdown of cost of living in Kampala. It’s very helpful and quite impressive.
Thinking of visiting East-Africa. Really loved your documentary. Would love to discover the cooked food markets, and restaurant dining-out experience.

Beautiful Uganda ❤️
Love the look of the fresh foods as well. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for showing us around. Cost of living has also skyrocketed here in The UK
Important to note is most wise families with land grow much of their food in their gardens and just buy a few commodities.
Thank you for the explanations
Thanks for the idea of staying near the road ❤❤
