as you mentioned the rabit hole is so deep you barely skimed the top and sadly it is mostly new anime, from past 3-4 years
i am heavyly invested in the 2000's the time you never knew if new anime is going to be hand drawn or computer composite, square or rectangular, following the trends or creating them
back then you could get opera singers doing crazy rock ballads back streat boys or oasis , alternative rock like mushishi got for 2nd season opening with song shiver by lucy rose
you need to dig deeper than what most popular comments because you may be missing on things that would seriously surprise you with "what? this was in anime?" screamed out loud because veterans get often overflown with popular , trendy little things from what current population remember, and they rarely look back for lost gems
take nadia for an example anim from early 90's made by the same studio that created gurren lagann
have nice long life because you will need a lot of time to dig in

you will always know when a anime is adapted from a light novel when the title is very long. the reason being that they make the titles explain the entire premise to get readers.

The trend originated from web novels. The most popular web novel platform in Japan only lists the titles in its popularity rankings page, not synopsis or any tags, so writers tend to explain the premise in the title. From there it's spread to print media as well, although print-first light novels and manga tend to have shorter titles in average.
Only exception to that rule is probably "3 days of happiness"

Combine Harry Potter and One Punch Man, and you have Mashle.

I agree, Heavenly Delusion is Spring's #1. As for other OP recommendations, my first choice is Ergo Proxy. The music is really good, I've added this band's full albums to my library and enjoyed them for a long time, but the visuals are even better. It's one of the best OPs I've ever seen, and also one of the most original and unique.
I hope Dr. Stone wins the tournament soon! It really is a different vibe from the rest and just very fun with a hilarious cast and interesting plot!
I also hope that the doctor will win the twitch tournament, but for a different reason, so it won't be on UA-cam and I can skip it 😂

The Konosuba Spin off of megumin is about her past back when she was still studying in the crimson demon village. It might not be as good as konosuba, but it's still fun to watch especially since our favorite explosion crimson demon is the main star here. You will be able to catch references from the main series too.
Also if you like survive said the prophet, then try reacting to banana fish opening 1 "found & lost" . its done by the same band & one of the bangers i like from the band

If you like the world of konosuba and not just the hijinks of the main quartet, Bakuen is definitely worth the watch and works to flesh the world out more with its different perspective.
The Megumin spin-off, i actually dropped it in the middle. It had few somewhat funny moments, but there wasn't really nothing keeping me to watch it to the end.
Also i feel like every sleep on the "Yorushika - Shayou" OP for "Boku no kokoro yabai yatsu". One of the best animes this season, and the song is great, when you actually listen from start to end.
I thought the same about Megumin, but stuck with it anyway. I started really enjoying it around ep 7-8, it improved a lot once she got out of school.
the whole point of it is following her in the early days so it likely wont be as entertaining early on, especially when kono suba made her character only care about one thing generally speaking
Very much agree on the Megumin spin-off, i dropped it even sooner. That being said, still super hype for season 3 of Konosuba, cause if they continue where they left of in the Movie, it will adept 2 of the best volumes of the novels imo.

The Megumin anime is a prequel showing what she did before joining his party and it's just as funny as Konosuba!
You should try watching Megumin's spinoff series. For me, it's still as fun as the OG series, and it's full of crazy characters 😂.

hells paradise is imo the best from spring 2023
The lyrics to "Idol" are really important, especially after watching ep 1, and I wish they had them English subbed on the official video.
That song (no 39) you thought sounded like old anime song was probably cause the singer is Hironobu Kageyama. He's been singing anime OPs for many years (starting in like the late 80's) with one of the popular series he sang for is Dragon Ball. He is also a member of Jam Project which sang the opening song of One Punch Man. His songs as well as the band's songs are bangers. I like watching their videos where they sang live (their video of singing the One Punch Man theme song was awesome).

Day 33 of recommending the Beyblade openings.
There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!
The problem with these longer compilations is the song snippets are usually quite short. Sometimes difficult to get a proper impression of the song.
To me 3 of the better songs in my opinion that has come up to this year of anime has been these 3 - Witch from Mercury's Slash by Yama, Demon Slayer S3's Kizuna no Kiseki by Man With A Mission and Millet, and Oshi no Ko's Idol by Yoasobi.

I think now you should check some openings from old classics. Like for example: Ergo Proxy, Serial experiments Lain, Wolf's rain
What interesting all of them are in English, and I'm pretty sure it will blow you mind but the ending for Ergo Proxy was made by Radiohead, and opening for Serial Experiments Lain was made by another British alternative rock group named Boa.

Magical girl destroyers was probably the biggest snub. As for things that you should react to from this year there's Fire hunter. It wasn't too popular show (though I liked it) but I love that OP. Another one in a similiar boat is anime called Mars red. I also think that OP is super underrated.
MagiDestro was actually n°0 on this list, but Luke cut the video before it got to it
Of the ones you haven't reacted to yet, Mashle has a great OP and ED, One turn kill onee-san OPs are good, but for some reason it has one of the best EDs of the season. Cafe Terrace OP is also very nice (including for cultured reasons 😉)
The Megumin Konosuba spinoff is very fun, defo worth a watch.

My Home Hero's op, by Chiai Fujikawa, is an absolute bop. The source manga for the show is amazing too. Also, the official UA-cam music video for th song "Ai no Uta" has English subtitles you can turn on. The lyrics slap as hard as the song.

The new pokemon series is actually great. Don't get me wrong, I grew up watching Ash, but Liko is already a far more fleshed out character after only 10 episodes. And on't get me started on Friede. The man is a certified chad.
Megumin spinoff gives a lot of background lore to the world they are in. Id recommend watching it before the next konosuba season comes out for sure.
I realy recommend watching ranking of kings (ousama ranking) this anime is very beautiful and the history is really good , boji is a cool and cute character
05:03 Looks like SOMEONE needs to react to the Japanese pokemon openings~ (and the digimon ones, *cough* *cough*) And yeah, pokemon is great. It went through a rough patch a few years ago but it really picked up and tried out new styles and new plot structures. And now a new main character duo.

Last one for me, I am reminded that we have missed a few delayed anime to COVID this year, as I don't see Misfit at Demon King Academy S2 Which was delayed to next month. Something similar that happened was when isekai Uncle disappeared for a while before reappearing.

Where is the "Niehime to Kemono no Ou (Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts) opening? One of the best in this season in my opinion
Since you know what Yu-Gi-Oh is, you should react to the ops for other cardgame anime such as Wixoss(which some people refer to as "Madoka Magica but card games”, Build Divide( both ops done by Egoist) Shadowverse( ops done by Penguin Research, FLOW, Lanndo feat Keina Suda and NEWS) and Cardfight Vanguard( ops done by Jam Project who did The Hero from One Punch Man, Light Yagami's va Mamoru Miyano, Psychic Lover who did the 4th op for the Japanese dub of Yu-Gi-Oh GX and some newer bands that you would probably like known as Roselia, Raise a Suilen and Argonavis
I'd have to say we had a pretty good spring of 2023, good shows, banger openings and endings... just not enough time to watch it all ...

This video had a surprise at the end, the opening of Magical Girl Destroyers would come after that number one. I really recommend you to react to it cause it is very surrealistic

Glad to see Pokemon Horizons getting some rep. It's a pretty good anime especially since each episode leads into the next which is something the past anime never really did.
I like "KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World" OP the most. But the reason is not a song, when I hear it, I know that I will see an episode of awesome show. This anime is like konosuba, but have even more chicky jokes and unpredictable plot.
Ash retired because every person that didn't know Ash ketchum from the 2000's was enjoyingt the series and everyone who did watch the older series were saying "that's not my Ash" but the last pokemon season was really good it just didn't feel like Ash.. so they removed Ash altogether to start over
First time seeing a detective conan opening in the top 10. it has a lot of really great openings and endings, but since the manga has his 30th birthday next year and is still ongoing, there should be some great openings among the anime. every time i watch it, i feel old, because i startet it as a kid and it is so long ago

You know a person doesnt know what songs are good or not when they are missing ops that are out and better than 30 of these titles. Also the fact the number 1 song of all time breaking records is considered number 5 here lol. But it's still fun watching and seeing the reaction on this stuff is what I like watching.
Konosuba Megumin Spin-off was a lot of fun to watch.
7:41 YES. Novelbright is a rock band with lots of bangers and crazy vocals, but they're hella underappreciated.
I really reccommend the song "seeker" by them. The song itself is a huge banger but the vocals also goes real hard.

I know it’s been a few weeks but I’m just catching up on your reaction videos to best anime openings of so-so year and Rokudo no Onna-tachi, one of the anime you liked the opening for, is a great series.
If you ever decide to in the future, I highly recommend reading the manga it is fantastic. The anime adaptation is pretty good but I think the manga version is the best way to experience the series. At least first before you watch the anime if you choose to

Great you did a video like that but no Birdy Wing and no Niehime to Kemono? The latter is AMAZING and the first one ... okay it was used again like it was done with To Your Eternity BUT it's still awesome!
I honestly can't recommend Hell's Paradise enough, IMO it's absolutely the "dark shounen" of the year, possibly decade. There's just something traditionally eerie and mystical about it that you don't see in jujutsu kaisen or chainsaw man
I highly recommend listening to the most magnificent soundtrack from the anime My Hero Academy: My Hero Academy OST - Might+U.
I noticed some missing openings in that list. But, if it was "only" the TOP 40, I could understand some leaving behind
