- Here's the review of the Nove Marine M001-07 Swiss Diver. This is currently available for pre-order on their website. The watch in this video a pre-production version that I was given early access to to produce this review. As such some thing will change for the production version. Which I mention in the review.
Here's a link to the watch on their website:

Alright guys, just to clarify I made a slight mistake when I said the movement is a Sellita SW200. What I meant to say was that the final production version will have a Sellita SW200, but this pre-preduction version has a Ronda R150. Sorry again for any misunderstanding.
I think it’s a stunner of a watch. I think it’s worth the money, but you are now in Christopher Ward and premium Seiko Territory, and that’s a rough market to be in. Thanks for the great review!
Yeah I think so too. You're absolutely right. Thanks for watching 👍
Seiko not hitting the marks, and shit bracelet? No thanks.
@@ANiCKiN I hear you… I love their designs, but the lack of specs is almost insulting…
I like this. Being a bigger guy this is bulky and big like me. Hints of Invicta too. Cool watch.
Cheers!
Are you tempted to get one one then?
Love the floating 3d markers on the inner rotating bezel... Tough competition at the price point though as others have mentioned but the original touches give it a good chance. Nice review, cheers 🙂👍
I love that bit too. Yeah it's certainly in with some of the bigger boys at this price. Thanks 👍
My initial reaction was unimpressive. However, the longer I watched the more impressed I became. My only complaint is the polished center links.
There's some interesting design elements isn't there?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR absolutely
My first impressions once I started playing the video, Nove logo looks like Zelos 😅 and the case shape reminds me of a G-shock Casioak design
I guess the logos are pretty similar. I'm not so sure about the case shape though 😆
That's an interesting watch from a Swiss brand, albeit a little expensive. I've seen better clasps on cheaper watches. There may be a little bit of Bulgari in the case shape.
Yeah the clasp could definitely be improved. But it's a smart looking piece overall I think.
I always give kudos for original design and I like the attention to detail. Not convinced about the lack of indices but hard to deny it’s a handsome beast with decent lume. Great review and merry Christmas
It's always nice to see something a bit different isn't it? Thanks and Merry Christmas to you too.
Great review as always. Stunning piece no matter with which movement. I’m tiered of those “homage” (copies) watches that so many other brands produce. Go Nove 👍🏻
Thanks. Yeah they definitely do things their own way.
Good review, I do rather like the style of the case and the way the hour markers are out on the bezel, it means the dial is less cluttered 👍 . The bracelet looks good, but the clasp is rather bulky and not as nice as some newer ones as you pointed out. The price seems reasonable, but I suspect most of the parts are Chinese and the assembly labour and movement take it over the Swiss made threshold.
Thanks. It's got some pretty interesting design details hasn't it? Yeah I suspect you're probably right there on the Swiss Made thing.
Nice watch, but a little rich for an entry level Swiss diver. Lots of competitors at substantially lower prices...
It's certainly in amongst some tough competition.
Hold up, it's a legit microbrand? I saw some ads for the brand in the most floofy of the floofy fashion brand online market apps and websites hence I didn't take them seriously.
Teach me to to judge a book from its cover.
Yeah this is one of many watches they have made so far. Check the playlist in the description for the other ones I've reviewed so far.
I wish companies wouldn't send out these pre production models, because there is no way I would pay that kind of money hoping they would fix the problem with the lume on the crown and the wonky markers on the bezel.
I agree. It doesn't always show the product in the best light and can leave people with doubts.
Looks awesome! Really like the look although I have never heard of Nove!
If you check out the link in the description, I have the playlist to the other Nove watches I've reviewed on the channel too.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I will check them out!
So far, with all the previous models of the brand, my motto was "NoWay Nove!", hated them all. Weird, bulky, flashy designs. This one (finally...) gets a "Meh", could even be a "maybe". But the fun part is that they reach the number right, meaning Nove means Nine (in Italian), this one could be mistaken taken as a (continuation/lost child of) Octo, by Bulgari, at least the case and bracelet...
Thanks for the review James, be well mate.
PS Love domed glasses, this is a winner, for sure.
I can always rely on you to come up with an interesting and unique comment mate.
Thanks for watching. As you know I'm a sucker for a domed crystal too.
That's no SW200 -- it's a Ronda R150, which like the Sellita is a drop-in replacement for the 2824-2. You can see the Ronda stamp near the balance wheel at 4:31. That they're advertising it as a Sellita SW200 on their website is troubling to say the least. They're not even familiar with their own product. Hard pass. Especially at over $1K.
Exactly, the second I saw 25 jewels, I knew it wasn't an SW200, which has 26. I figured Rhonda because they've used it before but to misdirect customers as to the movement is not good at all, to say the least.
Yeah, sorry about that. I've pinned a comment explaining my mistake there.
Lovely, very interesting looking watch. I like the floating effect on the bezel on this.
I want an inner bezel watch at some point. Not sure if a diver or a used SARB017 or the newer Prospex. I probs wouldn't use the feature but, they just look so cool
That is a really cool design element.
I prefer swiss made watches to be more subtle in announcing its swiss made..
Fair enough.
Almost like they're overcompensating? I've looked at their website, and I just get the overall impression that this is a Chinese watch manufacturer with just enough presence/activity in Switzerland to call themselves Swiss.
I’m sure many will like it,I just don’t care for it.I really dislike the bracelet and case.
That's fair enough. We all have different tastes. Thanks for watching anyway.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWRYes,people do have different tastes,no need to be dismissive.
They should have printed "SWISS MADE" a lot larger, across the whole dial. Not my kind of diver at all/
🤣
A nice watch but I can't afford it. If I look at my Zelos sideways I can pretend it's a Nove though because the logos are similar.
😆
Yeah their design signature is quite corky. Some may like that style. As for me, im a boring traditionalist in most things, including watch design.😂
This is actually one of their more reserved designs too.
i like how the majority of these new micro brands are all divers
They are the most popular type of watch. That being said though, Nove do some very interesting and different watches. If you check out the playlist in the video description you can see some of them.
Nove have been around since 2015. They definitely have some quirky, eve n different watches.
are they the same ones that made that super thin super ugly diver?@@andrewd7586
Like an Ollech&Wajs Cobra and a Baume Mercier Riviera had a baby 👶
I bought this watch. It wears lovely. I ditched the bracelet as I found it too tarty and being flat ended was easy to pick a replacement.
I have to say besides the bracelet it’s an awesome watch and in my opinion worth the price.
@@Jaybeef1 I'm glad you're enjoying yours. What have you got it on instead then?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR
With the case being shaped for straight end bracelets one’s options are countless. I am using currently a basic rectangular link bracelet that’s simple lines allow one to appreciate the actual watch more and I feel suits a tool watch better. If I could upload a photo I would as it looks absolutely fantastic .
At other times I wear it on a fine mesh Milanese bracelet. It looks great on a nato strap too.
This watch is a strap monster.
@@Jaybeef1 Do you have Instagram, or are you on WatchCrunch or Reddit?
Definitely not sw200
Yeah, sorry about that. I've pinned a comment explaining my mistake there.
Hi everyone. What is the best Orient Kamasu homage ? I am looking for kamasu homages pls help me with your experience. I want to with day-date window of course
Do you have any info on the new pagani pd1784? The look of this really caught my attention but seems a bit pricey for a pagani.
An interesting and nice piece, but unfortunately not nice enough in my eyes to spend nearly £900 on. Still, great review as always James! Many thanks for bringing some alternative divers for the masses!
Cheers mate. I always try to mix things up and slow you guys since different stuff.
That second hand is truly tacky in bright red, an Ali Express bin end. A dark red pointer would be fine. Shame really as they do nice pieces.
