I was a little intimidated to do this but it looks pretty easy
Thanks for this - just did it myself and appreciated your run-through beforehand.
I have one of these in an 80s tama and it's really great. Seriously don't understand why they stopped putting them in snares. The type of muffling it provides is different from moonjell and rings, it applies just a bit of pressure.
Yes! Agreed!
This video is what I needed for so long bro thank you so much 🙏
Thank you for this vid! I couldnt find a video with a steel drum and I was afraid i wouldn't be able to check this out. Thanks for the help.
No problem! 👊🏼
How much tension is this top head tuned to, like with a drum tension key?
Great video btw
In my opinion, Cheese is the best muffler of all time. Especially cheddar
I like cheese
How muffled can these things get your snare? Also, does it not unscrew and loosen while you play?
It can muffle pretty good if you install it at a higher spot closer to the head. It has never unscrewed on me while playing
@@flozanodrum what size drill bits did you use to install your muffler?
@@mickie43768 depends on the size of the screws for the muffler. Just found the bit closest to the screw with enough space to let it through
