    I have one of these in an 80s tama and it's really great. Seriously don't understand why they stopped putting them in snares.
    The type of muffling it provides is different from moonjell and rings, it applies just a bit of pressure.

    How much tension is this top head tuned to, like with a drum tension key?

    How muffled can these things get your snare? Also, does it not unscrew and loosen while you play?

      It can muffle pretty good if you install it at a higher spot closer to the head.
      It has never unscrewed on me while playing

      @@mickie43768 depends on the size of the screws for the muffler. Just found the bit closest to the screw with enough space to let it through
