I have to agree with Jonathan that whether you have daddy issues or not you are always susceptible of being in a toxic relationship. I don’t think it has a lot to do with your relationship with your father or mother. What I truly believe can help avoid having toxicity in your life is working on your insecurities. Therefore, teach your children self-confidence and most importantly self-respect so that they are secure of who they are and what they want.

Okay, wait. My tree was the first, but the message said, "we're moving to our new home mid-December, and I didn't want to decorate our big tree or the whole house because we're moving." That's why there was such little decoration and effort😂😩 I just wanted to decorate a little for my kiddos. Next year voy con todo 😏😂

It's so funny about the Xmas trees. I used to think the same! & my daughter is obsessed with Stitch so this year we surprised her with a stitch themed tree, which consists of blue, white, & silver 😂

Johnathan, I relate with a lot of your tendencies like rushing through reading, thinking faster than you think etc.
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. I am 31 and since my diagnosis I've learned so much about the spectrum of symptoms (it's not just not being able to sit still).
You might have ADHD. I'm curious if you've ever been diagnosed. I only started following you guys a couple of months ago, so maybe you have brought it up before.

Thank you guys so much for sharing this. You guys remind me of my only relationship. We put ourselves through the same toxic relationship I had never heard of another couple who went through something similar.
We started dating at 13, I had an absent father, he was the popular kid, we were each others first everything, didn’t go to the same hs. You guys are literally speaking my relationship. We were in love and will forever be. I truly wish we would’ve ended up like you guys. Sadly for us it went a different route, he ended up in prison after living together for 3 years. We were supposed to get married on our 10 yr anniversary march 5th 2023. Only God knows why things happen the way they do. I related with this podcast so much. Much love guys!!!! ❤❤

I think every girl does have that one breakup that breaks you, regardless of having a good relationship with your dad or not.
personally I grew up having my dad and my first actual relationship was complete trash. BUT!! I would say that relationship was the one that made me realize, I shouldn’t allow a random guy treat me in a bad way, when my dad has given me everything growing up. One of my favorite concepts is that my dad never, NEVER, called me by any insults or cussed at me growing up, and that’s why I don’t tolerate disrespect and name calling from a significant other. 🤣even my shitty boyfriend knew not to do this.
It really does come down to the way you grow up and all of those external forces, (ex: movies, friends, music, social media) influencing you and what you’ve known your whole life.
