Thank You for your great comment ! After you do this, you will find out that it should be one of the best things you did for your awesome 'Cuda !! Thank You !!
You would have to fabricate a new crossmember. Yours a 2wd ?....I believe that there could be a aftermarket crossmember but not totally sure. Otherwise you can use the same rubber mount but put a angle finder on the output shaft of your current transmission. Hopefully this helps you and wish you the best !
No, the overdrive should be kicked in at 40 mph and the lockup should be 35 mph..but if you are in the city or a low posted speed limit, then do not turn them on until you leave the low posted speed.
The pressure behind the overdrive piston would not decrease because the overdrive selonoid was not turned off and would cause the motor to kill or cause the overdrive and transmission clutches to slip. You would definitely burn the clutches out and eventually transmission failure.....very familiar with the lock as well. It's kinda like pulling up to a stop sign operating a manual transmission and trying to stop without pushing the clutch in..
Finally someone tells about the shift and kick down linkage, THANK YOU
Great video. I want to put a 46RH in my 72 Cuda

Thanks for sharing, I want to swap one of these in to my D250, not sure what crossmember to utilize?

Angle finder to record the angle also it should be approx 4 degrees or so with the truck level.
Can the front case of a bb 727 be used instead of the sb 518 front case?
No, I would just buy the adapter. Take care !
So do you run the the over drive and lockup to the same switch? As a switched ground

@dalekraemerscustomcarsanda9622 what would happen if one were to forget about the switches being on and pull up to a stoplight or below 30 mph, etc?
