Hi, I have never commented before, but I have been following you for a while. I love the content you make always. I moved to TX from upstate NY for grad school so I totally get what you have been going through.
I know everyone has their own experience in the experience regardless of how similar it is to another. But honestly it took me a full about 1.5 years to really find my happy place in TX because I allowed my past positive memories blind the present ones being made. Just remember that Illinois and your family and friends will always be there for you so you don't have to dwell on missing them (too much). Also they do miss you just as much, it's just much easier to get back into a normal routine in a familiar place rather than a new one in a new place (like you are doing).
Change is always tough, but as you said it's apart of being an adult. Keep doing your best cause that's all you can do. Sorry for the long ass comment, been doing some self reflect of late cause *therapy*. Hope you are doing well ♡

This video makes me want to be adventurous yet cozy. Made me sentimental but also made me understand the power of letting go and moving on. This is such a wonderful video. Thank you for taking us along on your journey!!

I found you through your Peak Deign Totepack bag tour (which I have recently found should be a category in itself- showing what to bring during a work outside your usual anyway).
This vlog of yours got me a bit emotional. I have been recently ticking off milestones and taking risks but for some reason I'm also a bit worried if I did make the right decisions to get me to somewhere I wanna be or somewhere I'll be happy.
I really hope my parents would come around to letting me live independently. Filipinos have a culture of being very in touch with their families, so much so that moving out isn't an option until you're gonna get married.
It's not like moving out will solve all my problems or will suddenly make my dreams come true. I just know, that from the vacations I took on my own, that a certain peace of mind is achieved. And that peace allows you to grow and really get to know yourself better.
I'm so happy for you! Can't wait to see what's been happening with you on your next vlogs!

Thank you so much for sharing. I hope you find your peace and get to be on your own one day! It has definitely been a new journey, but I agree the amount of growth I've experienced has been something I didn't expect (even though it was really hard at first.) You are so wonderful!

You have a wonderful personality. Moving must be a scary and out of your comfort zone but we would love to explore with you on your journey and see how life is going for you! Thank you for being so real and vulnerable about how you feel. Moving from my parents house after college was very hard and I definitely didn't feel ready. Proud of you and hope you are thriving

I've also been home for 2 years now after moving back from college bc of covid. I'm so stuck between wanting to move onto something new and being scared to leave the comfort that home has become again to me...

That's the exact position I was in for so long. Trying to find a balance between looking for your next adventure and enjoying where you are now can be so difficult and is something I struggled with a lot while being at home. Something that really helped me would be spending maybe an hour a day looking at potential opportunities and applying to jobs/places to live and then spending the rest of the time (trying) to be present and enjoy the comfort of being home.
Ultimately, I think it will all unfold perfectly for you and the right time will eventually come and you will be fully ready for it :)

Loved getting to watch your moving adventure!! So many real emotions, but so excited to see what adventures you get up to in your new home! At least when things change, hotel breakfast bacon stays the same
