I've been lucky enough to fly in a Su 30 at Zhukovsky and a Mig 29UB at the Mig Sokol facility in Nizhny Novgorod. Both experiences I will remember for the rest of my life! My respect to the Russian pilots!
As a red blooded American; I'll be the first to admit that the Flanker family is one of the most well designed fighters in the history of aeronautics. It has some definitive advantages over the F-15; & though I'm a firm believer that the pilot presses the pace of a battle, not the plane; the Russian AF has always had some of the most professional combat pilots in the sky. Even with it's combat record; Eagle's never faced it's true adversary. With 6 R77s? I'd say that matchup's a toss up.
