- This is the 1981 version of this tune, the last one I posted of this was a later re-recording of this. Enjoy!
Has that real Basie feel.

Thank you for this. It will always be my favorite arrangement of the tune. My LP seemed to vanish… so was really happy to see this.
Henry hello from Kingston Ontario. Thanks to you I am swingin to Warm Breeze for the 40tieth time. Never tire of Sammy Nestico. Thank you .
A warm hello to our friends from Ontario.
Listen to this umpteen times.Never tire of it. Thank you.
This is one of my favorite tunes from this album! Love the sax soli section.
Probably second favorite to Samantha.
The "reed chorus" is insane!!!
Great post Henry Cooper! I knew Sammy and played his charts many times.
Never tire of this.Thank you Henry. You are a cool cat no doubt.
I have doubles of this album. Great post!!!
Love playing drums to big band charts, Buddy Rich , Count Basie Gordon Goodwin. And Phat band, and of course Sammy Nestico my brother knows him played some of his stuff in the Annapolis band in 60s while in the Navy.
Easy listening, swingin' big band Basie-groovin song: way cool! Can't get any better than this.

Una favola 💗
Nestico's Masterpiece! See my post on the original Basie version, but this one's even cooler..
STRAIGHT AHEAD! NICE! THATS SAMMY.
The best from Sammy
Thanks for comment.
I'd keep getting simpler and then I started writing for Basie. And he's such a simple man. He plays simple piano and he's beautiful. and there's a charm about it. It's difficult to write simple and good. I started getting out my eraser and after I was done, rather than adding things, I'd look at the score and keep erasing things out of it. So I find that's my style now and I like it" Sammy Nestico
Good....Good....Jose ....Anjos....
RIP Bill Watrous
Can't remember ever playing a bad Sammy chart.
That's because there aren't any. :)
He said this was his first wife's favorite tune (she unfortunately passed away).
That I recall on a article I read recently. I found out later his first wife's name was Marge.
who is the bone soloist?
That's Bill Watrous (RIP) on here....
