Bakaly Camara - balafon

Rare footage of Bakaly Camara, famous balafon master from Guinea. This performance took place in Asheville NC, during performance of Ballet Warraba.
The balafon is an pitched idiophone found throughout West Africa, also knows as the bala, and similar to the marimba of Zimbabwe, and the xylophone.
