Never feel guilty for reaching your desired goals within a hobby! Beautiful collage. Beautiful IDLES shirt. And more importantly thanks for nodding your head back at me at VCF
Highly agreed, the amount of effort put into film creates a product that far surpasses quick digital snaps. I've been able to extract a usable (for a newspaper, anyway) image from a negative that looked like a clear frame, due to the extensive dynamic range of film and print paper. With digital, if it ain't there, there's nothing you can do - with film, if it ain't there, might still be a chance to get something, sometimes even magical. Welcome back - Cheers!!
Sad I wasn’t able to see the two of you this year. Adulthood hit hard when I had the choice of seeing two UA-cam personalities I really like or earning overtime: Things the way they are, the money always wins. Ah well, another year, another “another year.” I’d love to see what you’ve got next, no matter the wait. Loved the style you set up for this vid.
Looking forward to your Chicago recap! I just finished watching Clint's epic saga and was hoping we would get a film centered point of view from you. Also - have you tried using a film picker instead of prying your 35mm canisters open? I'm an old Walgreens 1 hour photo veteran so maybe I have an advantage because I used to have to use one dozens of times a day, but they are pretty slick once you get the hang of it. Might save your fingers from dark bag mishaps too, either way keep on keeping on with it man!
I definitely want to get one, I just never think about it until I need it because my normal day to day shooting/developing is done with reloadable cassettes
Seriously good stuff and I think what I see is 120/med as well! I appreciate the effort and time sink that is developing film at home but the results when you get everything right is so satisfying. But yeah, a lot of work and time and chem and money and time.
I have an old, beat up Jobo I use for c41 and e6 (mostly 4x5 sheets of film). It’s a little intimidating at first but I really dig it. Life has been busy this last year and I’ve taken a step back from it all but it’s something I’ll never stop enjoying. Sometimes seeing it with fresh eyes or a new perspective is nice. I figured that would take weeks or months but it’s taken me over a year lol Never stopped shooting though, just slowed down. I enjoy it too much. Shooting is exciting and seeing those negatives come out nice at the end is all worth it :)
Welcome back to UA-cam! Good to see your videos again.

That's the plan!
Im so shook at how similar your cadences are.
Great video!
[Insert joke about trusting the process]
How did you hurt yourself in the changing bag?..🤔🤷🏾♂️😏
Slipped while prying open the film cassette and sliced my finger. Not the first time it's happened, probably not the last haha
@@lukeisafinename That happened to me the first time I used a changing bag. I bled onto my film and had to will myself into not fainting 😆
