Sorry to say but this plugin will not make your bass mono if it is not mono to start with. BX Digital by Plugin Alliance has a mono maker knob that allows you to pick a frequency (say 100hz) and everything above that will stay stereo and everything below will be mono. This plugins low bypass knob only affects the widening of this plugin so will stop the low end being affected. I hope that is not confusing. I had to use Metric A/B to find this out.

That's correct. Low bypass knob is designed to exclude the wider effect from the low frequencies. It doesn't make the low freq mono if it's are already stereo.

@@PolyverseMusic It would be great if you could make it like that as having an adjustable mono maker is a great tool. The mono maker in BX plugins is very good but a plugin like yours would be a lot simpler. Thanks for reply and your free plugin.

Can this plugin also be used to convert film audio that was originally mono to start with and just upmix the music to stereo while the dialogue and sound FX remain mono or will this not work and just gives everything a stereo feel when fed a mono source?

Wider will make everything wide, to apply it selectively you need separate tracks
