- Bad shots from The Masters Snooker 2023. There are easy misses, miss cues, in-offs, kicks and just funny mistakes by pro snooker players. You can see that pros also make mistakes like you, just a bit less often.
Snooker players featured here: Ronnie O'Sullivan, Judd Trump, Shaun Murphy, Mark Williams, Stuart Bingham, Mark Allen, Barry Hawkins, Neil Robertson, Hossein Vafaei. And commentators: Stephen Hendry, Steve Davis, Ken Doherty, Alan McManus and others - Спорт
Finally something my average game can relate to
the difference between you and them is they have profesional commenting on their game.
Yeah, it's a nice video to watch after a(nother) particularly bad day at the club :D
My best*
Same here
Yeah, one of the only Snooker Planet videos that my plays would have fit right into 💀
Great stuff adding the analysis from the studio, really adds a lot to the video
I feel so much better after watching this 😌
I like this change up. Was getting tired of all these world-class players making amazing shots 😂😂
Barry Hawkins: Imma do it again!
Every time they miss I hear David Mitchell's voice in my head:
"Ooh, and that's a bad miss"
That Stuart Bingham - Judd Trump match was hard to watch. Almost unbelievable seeing how well Stuart had played up until then. If it weren't for that bad semi-final, he really should have won that tournament. All credit though to Judd for getting better every game, that was some unbelievable snooker in the final, he and Mark would both have deserved the trophy.
Bingham or hawkins?
Just shows you how hard it is to play. Even the most elite and professional players in the world can make silly mistakes in this game. As an amateur that’s played in many snooker halls, it is one of the most hardest games to play. I have no problem with pool or darts, it’s snooker that always bamboozles me. Incredibly difficult.
Well said.
This is cruel. I feel sorry for you Barry. poor lad
Really well made video mate 👍
Man, this makes me feel better!
Anyone else enjoy how the Barry Hawkins in-off count didn't include the one at 1:38 (because it was from a different match), but this 'rectified' itself at 4:09 (because this wasn't technically an in-off)?
I knew I could play like a pro.
that must be the water Hawkins drinks
Nice video!
i remember there was some talk about the new chalk causing havoc but never thought it was that bad.
This makes me feel if all those 147's are animated 😳
Poor Barry looked like amateur hour out there.
And they say they've stamped out match fixing...
We all have those days...
I’m glad professional players make these mistakes. It makes me feel a lot better about my game.
In a weird way, seeing world class players make these amateur looking mistakes almost makes it even more impressive when these guys are firing on all cylinders; because it shows just how incredibly tough the game is and how easy they usually make it look.
Can somebody tell me why in winters we have this miscue problem more often. Is it about the weather?? Because i used the same chalk in summer but it didn't miscue back then but now it is misbehaving alot
You know, it is really really cold, their hands and arms are shaking, but they are not allowed to wear furs and gloves during the game, so...
@@u.v.s.5583 isnt there heaters below the tables im sure there is
Um dos motivos prováveis. A gente sabe que as massas tem volume, espessuras variáveis de acordo com as temperaturas.
Até a cabeça de couro também fica mais dura, o que permite maior deslize na bola.
@@Lordlagmaster Yeah, the tables are heated.
It was reportedly quite hot down at the table due to all the studio lights and the table being heated, so definitely not a temperature problem. I imagine that cold chalk is more solid than warm chalk though so you may get more miscues when it's cold.
when trump missed, and stephen said, " he missed by miles", i was like, bruh didn't he touch the jaws and shit? If i had hit that shot, it wouldn't have gone near it. These snooker players are machines
Pot White: a tournament I should have pretty good chances too
4:52
So what happens if the cue ball ( white ) goes in , a fowl , but also the intended red ball is still potted ? The other player gets 4 ,but does the person playing still score from the red ? ls the red ball put back on the table ?
No and no
There should be no animals on the table, fowl or otherwise.
@@NormanTheDormantDoormat That answers a few questions !
These are the types of shot where you need the insightful commentary of Mitchell & Webb.
I don't think I've enjoyed pool so much in years!! Thanks for the upload.
🌹🌹🙏🙏
3:50 would be harsh to call that a bad shot, very unlucky.
They should have checked those pockets for magnets...
I have literally made every single one of these bad shots some times many of them in one single frame
Was just playing with the Boys, I did not notice they filmed us.
At least you’re not having a barry kind of day
alex higgins looking down on them and laughing hard
Snooker is a very easy game. You do not do this, you win. Right, Barry?
Those mis cueing are because of the new chalk I know this because the new chalk is way more lighter of colour and its softer which means less contact with cue ball its just bad chalk in general bad frictions due less thick chalk
Seriously?
Até os melhores do mundo erram bolas fáceis.
everytime i do these kind of shot i will also check my cue although it is not the cue problem
I've made all of these shots. Guess I'm a pro :)
Did they get new cue sticks? So many misscues
Well now I don’t feel like I’m the only one who plays these terrible shots, happens to the pro’s too! 😂
I know people can make mistake. But It's still hard to believe this just happens 0:20 3:34 and other clips off Barry
I've seen their amazing control of the cue ball so they 100% know they are risking the cue ball
Various worried about their tips there. Do they still only carry 1 cue? Seems a bit daft if they do when it’s entirely possible it could get damaged.
They're given 15 min break for a tip change if it breaks. The second cue would be useless because it would play totally different
@@SnookerPlanet didn’t know about the change break but even then the chances of getting a perfect replacement tip are remote, such is their attention to fine detail. Perhaps I’m naïve but I’d have thought carrying a spare cue or two would, while not perfect, be preferable than the comparatively hit or miss affair of whacking a new tip on in 15 minutes. If you find any perceived stupidity from me annoying I apologise but it doesn’t seem a massive stretch that they might be able to get a manufacturer to produce something very similar to what they are used to as a spare.
This was a tournament of attrition. Who can make the fewest easy mistakes? It wasn’t a classic. Still loved it thiugh
Judd did step up in the final but him and Mark still made some rookie errors.
Good
You missed john higgins red to middle against lisowski 2-4 frame 7.
1:28 can someone tell me what these new rules are? Only casual watcher of snooker and don’t play because I’m a American so not sure what the rule change was
He's saying that usually I would be a good chance, but due to the pressure,it's a different situation. He's not being literal.
It's amazing what pressure can do, even the greatest players in the world can miss easy shots. Doesn't matter if you're a seven time world champion like Ronnie or a really low ranked player, they all miss easy shots.
Ronnie’s miss was not a bad shot, it was a bad kick
It is counted as a miss in pot success stats. Same you can say about in-offs, some of them were just unlucky
Point is not about Miss, It’s about labelling kick as a “Bad Shot” which in my opinion is unfair. It can come under Unlucky moments.
Nevertheless nice work looking forward for more videos.
@@fashhub It's still basically down to him that he got a kick.
@@David-ud9ju You can read scientific reasons of kick and its beyond control of a player. Many players using new chalk also get kicks. It depends on table, cloth and cue ball imperfections
Glad I'm not the only one that miss balls over the pocket
✌✌✌✌
Barry had a bad day at the office. 🤭
did judd trump 322?
This video is an absolute torture to watch !
Yes, even the very bests of the bests can miss very easy shots. They are human after all.
New chalk causing alot of miscues its crazy
The last shot by trump is missed bad but eventually he won the frame but why is mark standing directly in the line of sight. This must be a no no at professional level for sure. Even club players understood this. Mark should have just sat down
Check another commentary conversation with Mack Starr. We've discussed this
hawkins play the russian pyramid lol
I get it, actually the snooker room it's a doctor's waiting room, I can't see any other reason why so many people have throat problems
This is my gameplay.
Well... they play better than me!
Bad shots? All I have are bad snooker shots...
What did someone say….
Interesting to watch which one
Is SUPPOSED to lose. $$
I don´t know that Jon Cryer is a professional Snooker player. 😀
It's me when I practice.
I'm surprised your opponent is allowed to stand in your field of view over the target pocket like that. It was meant to distract and it looked like it did.
It was unusual. But I think Williams though it is over, the green was right in the pocket, he couldn't possible think Trump may miss it
@@SnookerPlanet People aren't allowed to leave their seats because it can be used to put off an opponent. To think this was innocent is naïve.
@@stonehengemaca Players always stand up during safety shot exchanges because they know they'l be coming back in after 20 seconds. Williams thought this was guaranteed and was ready to conceed the frame. If Trump didn't like it, he would have asked Williams to move.
@@David-ud9ju Yeah I'm just surprised it's permitted.
Williams went to his seat after his shot and was about to sit down. But Trump came to shoot so fast that Williams just freezed, because if he had sat down, the movement would have interrupted Trump. He chose to stay where he was - near his seat
you mean to tell me Hawkins played like THAT and still almost beat Trump??
I've seen a lot of tapping tha middle finger on the front hand while playing their shot. Whats it all a bout, l wonder.
All of that would have been amazing shots... for me.
I can do all of those shots!)
Omg
Did they get their tips from the same place? 🤣 Either that or all players are involved in sports gambling 🤣
Hawkins is the unluckiest person in snooker histry
Mashllah
Can't help but think.. who else is fixing based on this.
Mark Allen looks ill since he lost weight.
These players have gotten unlucky
How the commentators always try to explain away a poor shot
Because everything has a reason. Even if you're an amateur, you miss with a reason or multiple reasons. Pros just have other reasons
@@SnookerPlanet yes we all have reasons like not aiming correctly but everyone understands it's just a miss. No need to analyse or say lack of concentration or looking somewhere else or there was a bit of noise somewhere or he was thinking about the next match or the last one or what he's having for dinner etc. Maybe it was just a poor shot.
Oh and that’s a bad miss.
They should go back to allowing drinking alcohol during matches. At least the players would have a valid excuse for some of their misses...
5:17: Why wasn't that a foul?
It's only a foul when the cue ball lands on the second (furthest) half of the ball
@@SnookerPlanet Actually, my question should have been: Why was that even a possible foul? he hit the black, nothing else; the cue ball stayed on the table.
In snooker if the cue ball jumps and lands on top of the second half of the object ball, it's considered as a foul
Amateurs. All them together can't reach the number of times I miss in one single game of mine.
Barry Hawkins more suspect than Stephen Lee
Barry's shots were ok, but Trump missing the green - that looked suspicious for me 😅
👍👍👍👍
It was SO nice not having JV shouting over every shot.
Trump had a funny tournament but winner nonetheless
So... Regular players miss = bad shot. Chinese players miss = BAN THEM ALL!!
I see match fixing is still alive and kicking in snooker!
Can you really call a shot with a terrible kick a bad shot?
How on earth did Trump win?
How come women don't get to the same level as men in snooker, when there is absolutely no physical endurance, or strength required to play snooker, and the fact that the game is open to all genders to compete equally in the same tournaments
👌👌👌👌
Shaun Murphy is such a rubbish commentator
Yeah. World Snooker Grand Prix 2023 is here.
Ooh he missed.
Say it was a kick.
The big snooker get out.
alot of frame fixing going on here
I wonder if the entry of our far eastern friends into the game with their penchant for "altering" gambling outcomes has got anything to do with this plethora of misses?
