      @LKalyuzhny 2 місяці тому

      I just about to finish liner installation! The only thing left to install skimmer! I did everything without vacuum cleaner and liner seats almost perfect. During the installation i initially made some space between the liner and wall (inch or two)! When water goes in (i am using garden hose) it presses and stretches liner towards the wall and eliminates air thru the skimmer opening!

    Hey! I install above ground pool also and just a tip when you the lyner is installed put tape on the skimmer and put a shop vac in the return hole, this way the air will take the place of the water for the time the water raises, so impossible to have wrinkles! On a hot day you can also use your feet when the water has at least filled the surface of the pool to mimic the water weight and cut the skimmer and return earlier

    What's the deal with wrinkles on the side wall? i'm replacing a liner and I feel like the previous liner was flat against the wall, but the one I see in this video has some wrinkles. do they work themselves out, or should I expect to remove some top caps and pull the liner a bit tighter in some places?

    • @Inyopools

      Hi Dan, the wrinkles in the side walls will usually work themselves out when the pool is filled completely. The main focus should be removing the wrinkles on the floor since those cannot be removed without draining the pool.

    Easy to follow instructions but is there any reasons why the air wasn't sucked out? There´s a lot of wrinkles left on the side of the liner.

    • @Inyopools
      @Inyopools  Рік тому +2

      As the water rises, the air behind the liner and wrinkles should be pressed out. The frame of the above ground pool is not airtight, so trying to shrinkwrap the liner in that fashion is not usually doable.

    What do you do about drains in the bottom of your pool?

    • @Inyopools
      @Inyopools  2 роки тому +1

      If you have drains in your above ground pool, you would treat them like the skimmer. The liner would go over the body of the main drain. Then you'd line up the main drain face plate over the liner so that the holes from the face plate and main drain body match up. Tighten the screws through the frame, liner, and into main drain housing. The liner material in the center of the frame can be removed and the cover can be installed.

    • @Inyopools
      @Inyopools  2 роки тому +6

      Hello Lisa - Unless the pool is severely damaged, draining it should not be the reason it collapses. Above ground pools are drained all of the time to replace liners. There is a risk of the pool collapsing if you leave it drained for a long period of time. Natural forces like wind could cause the pool wall to collapse.

    FYI, think ahead of time. Where I live, thunderstorms pop up randomly. I don't have time to drain the pool and wait around for the remaining water to evaporate. And it's unbelievably hard to get all of the water out using the pump, the siphon trick, and even a wet vac. After messing with it for over half a day, I just cut the liner at the bottom, but with the coves and plastic floor in place, that water doesn't go anywhere. So then I spent another 3 hours cleaning up a mess, and the ground is saturated under the plastic flooring. It's been the biggest nightmare. Get yourself a pump that can get every bit of water out if you have a tight deadline.

    • @kathylp8459
      @kathylp8459 2 місяці тому +1

      I had to replace my liner 12 years ago and put in a main drain on the bottom of my pool at that time in case I ever had to drain it again. It helps circulate more with a skimmer and main drain. I'm getting ready to change my liner again next week and so glad I installed that main bottom drain last time. Should be much easier to drain this time using the pool pump.

    • @supernat1978
      @supernat1978 2 місяці тому

      @kathylp8459 I may do that next time round. I finally got the water clear, and high winds blew in unexpectedly that night, collapsed the wall in several places. What should have been a simple project turned into a nightmare 2 month project. I did find out after that the ground wasn't level, and they didn't put any pavers in, so I redid everything right. And the creases worked themselves out with the pool filled up, been enjoying it since. Invested in a sump pump for next time 😀

    I just had a brand new pool installed. My base was 7/8" compacted aggregate the pool company never put down no sand over top of the aggregate, nor did they use a pool cove. They put peat moss on top of the aggregate then installed the pool liner. We went into the pool and we could feel all of these dips plus sharp areas where we walked around the pool. I'm presuming our brand new pool now has to be disassembled and redone properly. I've order a ground cover and pool coving. I'm also going to order Mason sand and put it down prior to putting down the pool padding. Are you able to tell me how much sand I would need for a 18' round above ground pool? How hard is it going to be to realign the liner with the skimmer? Thanks I would appreciate any answers you can give me.
