- In Memory of Ron Glass born July10, 1945 to November 25, 2016. My tribute is to his Barney Miller family❤️. He did many shows, but he will always be Harris to millions. Rest In Peace and thank you for the gift of laughter you gave us. He will always be friends with Max Gail and Hal Linden. :) Heaven gained an angel.
We remember him.
"I Will Remember You" Lyrics and song by Sarah Mclachlan
I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Remember the good times that we had?
I let them slip away from us when things got bad
How clearly I first saw you smilin' in the sun
Wanna feel your warmth upon me, I wanna be the one
I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
I'm so tired but I can't sleep
Standin' on the edge of something much too deep
It's funny how we feel so much but we cannot say a word
We are screaming inside, but we can't be heard
But I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
I'm so afraid to love you, but more afraid to lose
Clinging to a past that doesn't let me choose
Once there was a darkness, deep and endless night
You gave me everything you had, oh you gave me light
And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

Really great tribute Loved Ron Glass in Barney Miller. What a good looking man! And so talented. He was wonderful in Firefly. When I saw Serenity and 'Preacher' died I cried my eyes out and I am 65! Barney Miller was one of the classics of that era. Never tired of watching the shows. I think what made it so brilliant was that the cast obviously like one another and worked well together. It shows when you have a happy cast and crew. In the middle of all the madness was calm, cool and collected Barney. No matter who walked in that station gays, blacks, women, crazies they were all treated with respect. No offence but I think people would like to see that with their police these days. The other one I really enjoyed was Night Court. Again a happy cast and crew and a great and funny show.
This was a great tribute for a very fine actor! Barney Miller was one of the best comedies of it’s era, and a favorite of mine. Thank you for posting!
That man used to be my everything when he was on Barney Miller. 😊 When I watch reruns today it always makes me smile. The humor is as funny today as it was back then. Rest in Paradise Ron Glass.
I loved Barney. He was 2nd
Wasn't he just the epitome of style?? I LOVE that guy!!!!

I can only hope that they knew how much they brightened our lives.
Ms Alykat - It never ages. What a wonderful TV legacy.
Thank you for that beautiful tribute to my dear cousin. I will miss all of the good times we shared. That little skinny cute kid grew into a very handsome and talented man. RIP my dear cousin!
Your cousin Ron brought me a lot of laughs, still does as I watch the show on dvd often. Sorry for your loss.
Watched Mr. Glass this morning. What a talent! Still making us laugh and feel good. Sorry about his passing.
He made me laugh with his cool biting humor. I only found out about his passing today...10 months late but RIP Ron.
1960's girl ; i was born in 1977 but started watching this show in the late 2000's on youtube & i can't get enough of this show, it was so well written, i watched the final episode where the building is sold & they are all separated to different precincts & Barney Miller is finally promoted & it brought a tear to my eye. Did you ever get to hang out with your cousin Ron Glass on the set? I first seen Ron when he plays a pimp on Hawaii Five-O lol. I'm very sorry for your loss.
1960's girl He was always gorgeous! Just as handsome as he aged. So many great actors, & great show. R.I.P.
I watched the show when it was new as a kid, with my parents. I watch it now too, and it was VERY well written and acted.
One of the very few sitcoms that still stand up today, nearly 30 years later.
MrCristoforoantonio .... 40 years later....
It's a rare but shows like Barney Miller, I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, All in the family, Taxi, The Odd Couple and Perry Mason seem to transcend time.
Ron Glass made every character he played so believable, so genuine - Ron Harris has been my favorite since I was 8 in 1975 & I watch him today w the same adoration. Just his expressions tell a great story! I wish his family the best, he brought so much joy...and still does.
My Favorite Ron Glass Moment from "Barney Miller:" the 12th is enduring a heat wave and Wojohowitz fails to open a window that Fish says was closed back in the 1920's when the whole building was condemned.
Wojohowitz then asks Harris, who is in a pink dress shirt, why he's not sweating and Harris replies, "Will Power. Also this is a $30.00 shirt and I have a date tonight."
God I Miss those Good Old Days when TV entertaining AND FUNNY!!!!!
Thanks So Much for the Memories, Ron. Rest In Peace.
Great writing.
I was born in 1960, this was one of my favorite shows, great cast of characters , time goes by so quickly, enjoy and good luck to all. Rip🙏
This was such a great cast and show "BackintheDay" ~ RIP Ron Glass
What a fine, talented and unique personality...Ron Glass will be missed!
What a great show. Not a wrong note in the whole run. Everyone was pitch perfect & Ron Glass' Harris was one of my favorites. He will be missed.
Wonderful team of talented actors. Sad to see them age and go. Time keeps moving.
A fantastic actor...loved him on 'Barney Miller'...a great tribute.
Wonderful tribute....RIP Ron.... Thanks for the great entertaining.
When a show is perfectly cast it still holds up today. Thank you guys
Did Detective Harris ever finish his book?
Yep! And had a movie deal. But a lawyer sued him for libel lol
"BOB". "Blood on the Badge"! The hilarious part of that is I did a twenty-year career as a cop and wrote a book (three actually!). Life imitates art?
Yes he did !😀
Thank You!....Ron Glass!!!...rhymes with class.....
Watched the show back in the day as a lad... and I still occasionally catch the re-runs on Antenna TV. Great show! RIP Ron...
Far too young to be gone.
Great actor as Harris, Ron's facial expressions were awesome. He delivered his lines perfectly. All these men were brilliant in their roles. Glad all these Barney Miller episodes are on UA-cam. Thanks Ron and the rest of the cast for the great show you gave us.
Ron thank you for the work you did. thank you for the laughs. you brought happiness and joy through your work to a lot of people and that has added years to all of us because of that laughter ...so for now Ron we all say till we meet again. with all respect to your life and memory. and with love . farewell.
RIP...Ron Glass...the tribute was great and brought back some great memories of a great show that I still watch today.
I'm in shock! There's been nothing on the news channels. I just happened to look him up on Wikipedia after watching an episode of Barney Miller. I was so sure he was going to be my husband lol RIP Ron
Love this tribute, great pics, great show! RIP Ron Glass, Abe Vigoda, Steve Landesman, James Gregory, Jack Soo
Poor Ron Carey is always left off.
Little Leviths, as Ron would say... 😊😊😊
And Gregory Sierra who passed away just weeks ago.😔B.W.
@@carolcarney1022 That was Little Levitt.

What a great tribute to really Great Artist!
May God rest his soul in peace...
Rest In Peace Ron Glass. Very nice tribute.
Had the rare opportunity to spend a weekend with Ron and two hundred other men at the Florida Nature and Culture Center as part of the SGI USA. Very humble guy...
He appeared on "All In The Family",portraying three different behaviours out of the same character....Brilliant Performance....Rest In Peace Ron...
This show was so amazing at showing the softer side of the police. It is so hard to said which was my favirote but Ron was in the top spot with him.
God bless you Mr.Glass.....Thanks for the laughs. And the fashion tips. Love n Peace my Brother.
Thanks for posting this, great show. Ron was brilliant as Detective Harris, Facial expressions were great and yes Ron I will remember you. Thanks Ron Glass RIP.
wonderful tribute ! Great video ! Thumbs up and all the best wishes, Karen :-))
This is just so lovely. Ron Glass was one of a kind and his timing was impeccable. He was always right on the money. Not to be forgotten. Quite frankly, not of the cast should as this is a part of my early years and it has great meaning. I care about this.
Good actors, good casting and great writing until the writers agents got them more money and finally they ran out of writers. When most shows were out to dumb you down this one stood out, what a great bunch they must have been to work with. I still enjoy this cast today, thank you Ron Glass where ever you are, it's a big universe!
I've been watching Barney Miller and loving it on TV. The whole cast was wonderful. Ron Glass was my favorite, he brought Harris to life like no one else could. He is missed, as are the rest of the cast who has slipped away from us. The remaining cast members are also remembered for the joy they brought to their viewers.
He is timeless and important to me for his characters on Barney Miller and Firefly. He was amazing on both shows and part of two great ensembles.
You did a great job here. I will always miss all that we've lost. 💗😪
0:58 A reminder that, besides Barney, only Wojo and Harris were there for the entire series. Great show!
Glass was seldom front and center but his presence and delivery forced him there and made the show. When it came time for him to deliver his lines I always moved to the edge of my seat and prepared for a chuckle.
One of the best casts in comedy. But thanks to UA-cam it is still here.
Rest in Peace Ron Glass.
Very nice tribute Rachelle.
I love the show and the entire cast throughout the seasons and years....I was especially proud of my brother Ron Glass....Rest Easy handsome guy!!😊
Blood on the badge
this was precious thank you for posting
wonderful tribute and vid darling!! th-up!!
Thanks for this tribute. Detective Ron Harris was so amazing on Barney Miller. My fav Harris episode was when he got shot at by another police officer. All the characters were perfect. Barney, Ron, Wojo and that know it all Deitrich. I was in high school when this show aired. Now I have all seasons on DVD and can view whenever I want. It's definitely one of the greatest. Rest in peace, Ron and thanks for the memories. ❤📽📺🎬 ☕♥️
I see other funny scenes in other movies and Seinfeld that are straight out of Barney Miller
Leavitt in a tuxedo/ My Cousin Vinny
It’s not you it’s me/ George Costanza
Inspecter /Seinfeld the library cop
I’m on a BM due to lock down and I can’t believe how much comedy is repeated in other shows and movies
Rest in peace Ron glass you are an absolute funny person, love Barney Miller
Love suave, sophisticated handsome Detective Ron Harris👮🏾♂️
Rest in Heavenly Paradise Mr. Glass✨🌟🌈☀️💜
Thanks Ron for all the great memories!! Loved barney Miller!!!
RIP; Ron....loved Barney Miller, still watch it.
Love Ron Glass... Great cast, great show. With all the knowledge today, Hollywood still can't do better.
Thanks Ron, Thanks for all you gave.
What a great actor . He nailed that role every time ! I have the entire set on DVD and watch it often. Even if you've seen the bits many times, you still laugh out loud. What a great show !
Very nice tribute Rachelle! Rest In Peace Ron Glass.
I will always, miss you my old friend. Thanks for all the laughs!! You where a credit to the human race.RIP
I loved Ron Glass as Shepard Book on "Firefly", a SyFy Original series; as the preacher who was searching for a friend around the outer rim.
One of the best shows ever on tv
Absolutely Bernadette me and my husband still enjoy it today
Fantastic actor from a brilliant show.
I enjoyed Ron's performance on Barney Miller. It was a great show with a great cast. RIP Ron.
The best tv show ever
Classy show with very very talented and human actors who related with teir audience and Ron was indeed himself a n inspiration and classy man! Their on stage chemistry was immense...........
I think Ron glass was my favorite actor on Barney miller!
Ron Glass was not only great as Harris on Barney Miller, he really earned my respect in the Odd Couple series. While Demond Wilson appeared to be doing a Jack Klugman impersonation as Oscar, Glass made the part of Felix his own and kept the basic character traits while giving it his own mannerisms and quirks. The show fared badly in the ratings and didn't last long, but I've always remembered him fondly for that role and admired his ability to carve out his own space after Tony Randall had played the part so iconically in the original TV series.
You know, I remember this TV series Barney Miller on ABC, as well as Ron Glass.
And from the time I was born (in 1977), up until the last time Ron Glass was starred in the 2008 movie Lakewood Terrace , he was the arguably the great performance actor of all time.
When I was by the time that I turned 4 years old, the new odd couple debut on ABC in 1981 with former Sanford and son starring Demond Wilson. Although I didn't pay attention to TV these days , I really hope Hal Linden is still around. Damn, time flies so fast.
Rest in peace Ron Glass, Jack Soo and the rest of the gang.
The Legacy Lives on 😢🏔️🦅🇺🇸🗽🍺🍔🍒♥️🎆. And thank you Barney Miller on ABC (1975-81?)
Hal Linden is still alive. So is Max Gail (Wojo), Barbara Barrie (Barney's wife), and Gregory Sierra (Chano).
@@BrotherDerrick3X Derrick, thanks for updating and editing
my information involving Barney Miller. Also thanks for updating on surviving cast members of the show.
@@tyrondavis6727 no problem bro.
Still watching today. Thank goodness for UA-cam. Loved them all. 🙏🏼❤️🌟
RIP-RG🙏🏼✨
I loved Ron Glass, Loved his manner of hummer, loved his suits. loved detective Harries,
I pray the Lord to have mercy on him..... Ron Glass was a class act in of him self. All of them
were awesome
" BEAUTIFUL MAN" ...... HARRIS SAID THIS AS HE WAS WZLKING OUT THE BACK WAY WITH YEMMANA AFTER EATING BROWNIES WITH HASH .....lol. TRULY QUITE POIGNANT MOMENT OF THE MEN FROM THE 12TH PRECINCT. THANK YOU FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL HOMAGE TO RON GLASS, STILL AS DAPPER AS EVER. 💖💝 💔⚘🕯☯️🔱🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟✨
Now, only Hal Linden (Barney Miller), Max Gail (Wojo), Barbara Barrie (Barney Miller's wife), and Gregory Sierra (Chano Amengual) are left.
Ron invented class!! RIP great television personality who made me laugh and think in those adolescent weeknights
Ron was a Class Act his character in Barney Miller added so much to the show I loved that his character was writing a book Blood on the badge at that time a lot of cop novels like the new centurions we're being published and it was a play on that but funny as hell and Ron pulled It Off so well and when Wojo brought in hash brownies his girlfriend made Harris was so funny high as a kite
⭐️Nice!
If he had dyed his hair he would still look like same, he didn’t age at all.
WHAT A FANTASTIC STORYLINE, CAST, CREW, I LOVED THEM ALL AND MISS THEM ALL, RIP RON GLASS, DETECTIVE HARRIS, WRITER, STOCKBROKER, COMMODITIES, SILVER AND GOLD, CLIMBING
AND CLAWING YOUR WAY TO THE TOP!!!GARY BAILEY KING OF DARKNESS SADLY YOUR UP THERE
NOW AND WE'LL MISS THE HELL OUT OF YA!!!GARY BAILEY I ACTUALLY FEEL THAT WAY FOR ALL WE
HAVE LOST ALSO!! GARY
please, people....no more smoking...I cant stand losing people we love over this ...please lets stop this now...RIP Ron
I used to hate Barney Miller... I wish we had shows of such character today!!! I'm a getting close to 50 but I love Shepard Book and Ron Glass! A soul gone too soon!
This show has brought me much joy!
I never missed this show growing up, it's a great show. And Shepherd Book is my favorite character on Firefly.
Sorry he's gone.
He was great period.
Two characters I will never forget; Detective Sargent Ron Harris and Shepherd Book. Mr. Glass, you are missed.
Ron Glass co-starred with Demond Wilson in the short-lived ABC remake of "The Odd Couple".
what a great group of actors all in one show...the y really portrayed the close relationship on the show...probably were great friends off screen?
He did finish the book and it was a Best Seller. RIP Dt Harris
He had wonderful comedic timing in Barney Miller. He was my favorite of the entire cast, just ahead of the Dietrich character. I remember watching him in both Barney Miller and The Odd Couple, and thinking that I'd love to have a job and make enough money to dress in style like him. I continuously work on the wardrobe and I'm very close. RIP, my brother.
❤❤❤❤ That was awsome. Ron is andxwas a handsome man‼️❤❤❤❤RIP RON. you are missed‼️
With everythong gping on in the world.....did not know Ron Glass died. RIP with yoyr friends in the sky.
And don't forget the mysterious, centered, and even possibly dangerous Shepherd Book of Firefly, lending those outlaws a moral compass...
wish i could go back to those days i dont like what has replaced them
Hard to believe there are just two left. They don't make actors or writers like that anymore.
Gregory Sierra is still alive, though he seems to avoid this show a lot
In addition to Hal Linden, Max Gail, and Gregory Sierra, Barbara Barrie, who played Barney's wife is still alive.
Death sucks.
His comedic timing was impeccable. One of the best.
BM had that rare air of not a single weak link in the cast over the years.
Why is it that the best shows had the least sets ?? Actors and writers!!!!!!!..........Jay
Made me cry barney Miller and the rest of the gang Rest In Peace 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I loved him as Harris. I still watch Barney Miller Reruns. Thank you
Special people, who I grew up with as a teenager. Loved his character. RIP Ron.
"Why is it one of the few times I feel good, it's got to smell bad?"
Wow !, great group of people, funny guys, luv them all,
Tears.. watched this all my teen years I had the biggest crush on Harris.
So sorry you had to go But I will always remember you
