It won’t be just because the demographic is different. Pokémon is a more chill and super kid friendly game. Palworld is more edgy and deeper (in terms of the concepts it touches on). Some people just want to play chill kid friendly games
That's true. Pokémon can stay fun and chill and give us more intractability and stuff to do in the world though, and that's what I really want out of it. I'm not looking to cook up and eat Pikachu lol. And more games in this genre are gonna start popping up, I think, and there will be those that are more similar to Pokémon in terms of tone and vibes too. So I guess what I mean is Palworld won't end Pokémon per se, but it could mark the beginning of the end, as it's opened the gates for more games like this from non Game Freak developers Even if people
I'd like the idea of a pal only mode that let you challenge trainers for money to buy spheres. Just strip out all the resource collection, base management, survival mechanics, and player combat. Just make the focus on managing your team, directing them in combat, and watching them grow. Obviously a lot of depth could be added for people looking for that but if someone's looking for a more relaxing experience it shouldn't be that hard to offer the option

Yeah.. a chill 60$ game that have the same formula since red and blue, bet kids dont mind all the glitches and bugs from scarlet violet...oh and shtty graphic too lol

And if you consider that Palworld is still on version 0.1.x. Normally a 0.1 version is hardly better than a tech demo that shows what the game could look like with rudimentary game mechanics.
First of all, i love both palworld and pokemon. But! Both games are absolutly different games, they cant be compared in my opinion. It is litterly ark with pokemon like creatures. Also i think this whole gameplay loop would be awful for a pokemon game. A spin off okay but not a main game. I have to say i dont want to farm like 30 hrs of Iron just to get trough the game.Also i think the Mainseries has to change something for the next game but nothing like this. I think it has to change more in its graphic and performance. The gameplay loop and journey is still good. Also some new things from s/v are really good, the new open world is a good beginng but i would love to have the arena fights leveling with my progress so i dont fight an high level trainer in my second gym if i choose the wrong route. All in all in my opinion both games are differnter than the most people think. I had to say something and i hope everything is clear enought my english is not the best haha :D
I agree with most of that, I for sure would not want to be grinding for mats in a main series Pokémon game lol. I would love to see the journey shaken up just a little bit, with some new functionality and mechanics outside battling. And yeah it could be a spinoff or even something bigger. For a while I've been envisioning a sort of "Pokémon World" kind of game, with some kind of multiplayer connectivity or even like an MMO, and it would have a much bigger world with much more things to do in it to experience the Pokémon world besides battle. I think that would be so cool and a good investment of resources for Nintendo/Game Freak, what do you think? :O
If the next pokemon game has shitty graphics palworld wins, people are too blind to see that they aren't trying with graphics because people will buy them regardless, pokemon most definitely won't die off but as time goes on people will start seeing these things more clearly
