Undisputed, this is one of the most genuine lover & ambassadors of reggae music of all time.. He may not be Jamaican, but I am proud to know & pleasured to see him through out the years.. Well done Sir Rodigan.. No matter what some Jamaicans say about you being a bandwagonist, you are an exemplary teacher & knowledgeable professor. Keep up the good work.. You are recognized.
Wow.... Thanks for this upload. One of my best evening out, I was hoarse the following day, had a wonderful time. I feel my age group (60's) have had the best of reggae music over the past 50 years.
What a great celebration of Jamaican Music. The world is better off for the music and culture. Loved listening to Rodigan on Forces Radio. Love Rock Steady, Lovers Rock in particular.
One of the best concerts of all time. Best tribute to both Sir David's 40 year sterling career as the reggae ambassador as well as 40th reggae anniversary of Jamaica's best known art form. A whole history paraded in one very impeccable concert. What better venue than reggae, an exotic art form being previewed at Albert Hall and completely orchestrated!
Thanks for this. Nice to relive this amazing show. What a way to celebrate my 65th birthday! The music lives forever. Bitty with Walk Away From Love, what a killer tune.
Thank you Alan! I am truly seeing this for the first time and enjoying this David Rodigan's Anniversary Gig! I cannot keep my eyes off the orchestral leader/conductor!!! I believe he was having more fun than even Rodigan himself, BUT NOT like me! @Alan Williams, thanK YOU again! You have a new subbie in MOI!!
Hope the Jamsican Government, the ministry of culture in particular seeks to further Honour this indifatigable proponent of this critical aspect of our Jamaican Heritage. My thanks to you too Mr. DAVID RODIGAN. Hope your ardent counterpart(Comrade At Arms) from the 80's: Mr. Barry Gordon, was able to add his flavour to your celebrations. Bless!
Loving this one thanks for sharing very information blessed love to all knowledge is power hopefully everyone pays attention keep up the good work pure good vibes 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
This show is a very well financed replica of The American Roots of Jamaican Music hosted by Rootz of music Inc since 2013. Thanks for the recognition of our music but it would be Honorable to allow Rootz of music to tell that story from a Jamaican perspective.
I remembered when David Radigan and Barry G started the radio clash in Jamaica,it was one of the biggest in the world. People useto waited on the clash with Radigan and Barry G,it been a while now. Although I heard some Jamaicans people is critizing Radigan, because they have no sense at all.Radigan have done a lot for the reggae music, so I must big you up Radigan on your 40th anniversary of the reggae music ambassador.I dearly respect Radigan for the good work you have done for the reggae music,I am listening to anyone of them. Who is critizing Radigan,he deserves every awards he got from the Jamaican government.Becaused of his true dedication and, time he has put into the reggae . To helped promote the reggae music fraternity worldwide, good job Radigan over the years of hard working,ok.
