Wish I had this video when I started playing, good stuff. Just ordered a pair of those knee sleeves to try out after my knee got banged up a bit recently.
This is pretty much the way I set up. The only adjustment I had to make was for the Bauer garter belt. In games where I was getting a lot of work it would start to fall down my waist even at the tightest setting. I solved this problem by adding 3 lace loops (one on each side of the belt and one on the back. I did the same for the inner belt of my goalie pants and I used 3 carabiner clips (one for each loop) and I hooked the garter belt to the inner belt loop of the pant with the carabiner clip and I’ve never had a problem since. Belt stays up, knee pads stay up, and pants feel great.
Helo sir. Just want to ask you those Night Eye clips are made from plastics or steel? And what size/lenght are those ? Thinking about the same to connect pants with chest via some clips or some skate lace small loops. Thank you sir for your answer. Wish you all the best
Go to the “How To” Shorts playlist and you’ll find the video where I show how to put the lace on the pant and speak about the length. The clips are metal.
@@chrisxdudo Hyperlite was a godsend for ball dek/hockey. Light and flexible. Not sure it is protective enough for ice. Was thinking of a beefed up version vs the ccm chesty. will look forward to your review bro!
It’s a special brand that I am testing, I will not name it right now as it’s a sample and not complete. For socks, I use a Bauer as I mention in the video.
@@chrisxdudo I've been trying to make the side panels for a month now, I think the problem is in the Velcro that attaches the side panels to the sides of the pants
@@chrisxdudo I decided to lift the sides of the shorts, after which they started to fly out or ride up, and I can’t get them back. It’s like the velcro doesn’t hold them, they don’t fit the sides of the shorts.
As someone whom at least once in his lifetime hopes to play goaltender before they pass this helps alot. thanks !! :)

Very well done Chris. This will help a lot of goalies and "new to hockey" goalie parents. Well done!

A review will be released on it at a later time.

What garter belt (brand/name) do you use for knee pads. Not socks?

@@chrisxdudo ok I'd be interested in purchasing them once available. Can't find anything that goes well with the Warrior knee pads
I've never had any issues attaching any garter to Warrior knee pads.
Do you know what to do if the side of your pants flies out?
I tried to refasten them and they still come out of the edges, what should I’ do? Bauer pro pants
Tighten up your suspenders and the straps on the chest. Figure it out when you aren’t on the ice.

interesting, never seen a vaughn chin sling in a bauer mask before
It’s not a Vaughn chin sling.
What size is the hyperlite chest
All gear specs are listed in the description of the video.
Didn't realize how bare the back padding is. Guess I'll stop trying to bank the puck off the back when trying to score from behind the net.
A good goalie will never put his back to the puck.
@@chrisxdudo Rec league goalies are more... goal friendly. 😄
