Sentry Siren 16V1T-B (SICK) Tornado Siren Test | "Attack" & Full Alert | Prairie City, IA

- For this first Wednesday, I went to Prairie City to check out this Sentry after struggling to figure out where I should go, especially given single-digit highs and 15MPH southbound winds. I'm glad I came here because it ended up being one helluva adventure...
After checking out the Type B in town (it's dead, BTW) and scoping things out with an in-car shot, 10:00 came (with fire dispatch toning out an active call right at 10, which really scared me at first). Tones started coming out. I heard the Sentry moan to life for a few seconds during the second group...then swiftly die. Three minutes of mild panic later, the last tone bunch it slowly came to life. This is the sickest siren I've ever heard!
Now, as I'm going around doing B-roll (in the third move), out of nowhere, a freaking backhoe comes into the lot and nearly crushes my Nikon, and I was pretty panicked at that, lol. Before I know it, you got the backhoe, a work truck, and a Toolcat all around me as the siren stops. That gave me a good chance to talk to the public works guys about the siren, so hopefully, they will get someone other than SSI to look at this and fix it properly. Aaaand that's about it! Enjoy!

That’s the healthiest sentry I’ve ever heard
Ikr Totally!!
It’s pretty healthy, not like it’s underpowered or anything
Yeah I'm proud to say sentry themselves come to check on it each month. It works beautifully!
@@That_2_guy2T I agree
Didnt eve fail once, if anything the other ones are broken
Dang. Hope this siren has better days in its future.
It sounded like a thunderbolt blower at first. Also, I wonder if it's simply underpowered. Why else would both motors spin so slowly?
Nice video! That actually sounds cool as hell.
This is the most underpowered siren I’ve ever heard if you want another sick siren search the fedelcode model 5 in nettle lake Ohio
At the start the sentry was like hell no i ain't doing this just let me sleep forever
Lmao fr 😂
I just saw your FB post about this! Clean video dude!
That sounds like a DJI drone
yikes! hopefully the city checks it out
It gets to half its needed power at 2:40. I wonder how they were powering it?
Ha, you got me at that engie in the corner going nope
The alert sounds like a bunch of bees
That Siren do be snoring over there 0:30
awesome video!!
Sounds like Wasseralarm from the delta blau sirens
Sounds like truck horn
It does actually
This is this saddest sentry I've ever heard
Does the type B just not do nooners
Nope, that thing is long since dead. There are a ton of bird nests settled in the rotors.
Imagine type Bs that actually function
Sentry 16v1t-b in low tone
10/12 sentry?
Sounds like a band of diaphones
It's screaming for new batteries
Ouch
What was a siren, now is an air horn
La sirène a perdu la puissance du moteur
Oooooof
Depressing...
