Nah could be the blower we had a old 1003 at a chemical plant ere in the uk the 1003 had no maintenance since it was installed. It was a import from the USA in 1970 it was doing a 5 minute test till it was cut short just to mention the poor thing was smoking all test. They had to cut the 5 min test at 3 minutes 56 when the blower went out in flames you could a flame jet come through the projector horn unfortunately the poor 1003 at the chemical plant near my house could not be saved Rip 1003 (1970-2021)
@Xal Usually here in the UK siren tests last between 3 to 5 and 10 minutes Grangemouth MICC run there Hörmann sirens in Attack for 5 minutes and then All-Clear for another 5 minutes and then you hear the post test announcement like with famous Broadmore escape they test hi-lo or the escape signal for 3 minutes then All-Clear for 3 minutes similar to the MICC just theirs a 2 minutes difference In test length and that's the basic stuff only british civil defense systems 😊
No the brushes inside the siren chopper tube is getting extremely corroded and very old and its making the siren want to lock up the blower apparently actually blew up and now it sounds like a fucking metal grinder
