If you go to Horizon or Spektrum and search for the DXe, then select Discontinued to get to the DXe transmitter. Then select Manuals & Support and DXe Out of Box Compatible Aircraft. It is a list of aircraft that, as I understand it, are compatible with the DXe "out of the box". That list is rather old but based on that, I suspect a lot of aircraft would be directly compatible. But what you are suggesting would allow for much more options and fine tuning.
Great Video, thanks. My Son won an X-Vert Vtol with a DXe and can´t use it. Nothing works, now i know what to do and hope i get it to work. Greets from Austria
Great channel, I have just found out how to get different plane avatars on the transmitter, go to system setup, aircraft type, go down to next, then go down to select image then standard image, here you will find some more avatar images, from here you add a avatar of a bi-plane, war bird etc.
Great information, Sean! I'm really glad you put it out there. Being new to the hobby, I had no idea the DXe could be programmed like that. I'm going to try it out today.
Can this be used as student radio in a buddy box set up for more than one plane? I am currently using a dx5 and i want to used a newer student radio. tks
I try to use it with a AR637T rx. In normal op the servos travel in the correct direction, but the AS3X gain for elevator goes opposite to what it should be. If I pitch the plane down, the elevator should move upwards in order to raise the nose, but it goes down. If I orient the rx backwards, that problem is fixed but noe the same issue with ailerons, the AS3X and SAFE gains are reversed. No programmer here, can I change that using trim or sticks menu?
Does this come with an RID module? Is it FAA approved? How about it's FCC registered numbers. If my drone is attacked, ALL toys should be attacked as well. Next week party balloons will have to start displaying registration numbers on 2 sides.
Yes it's a 7-channel TX but the 7th channel is unavailable. But I found a couple of points in the board that when shorted, they move the flaps up (otherwise the flaps were always down in my Air Tractor). So I just added a 2-position switch soldered to those two points.
I note that is the RTF version of the Dxe. The published info you get with the RTF plane you got the Dxe with gives the impression that you need the buddy box cable in order to buddy box. But the RTF Dxe can wirelessly buddy box…. How about a video showing how to connect a RTF Dxe wirelessly to the instructor’s box? How about a video on Dxe software updating, and the associated slow trim issue? Also, I recently discovered number of channels advertised on receiver is only indicative of the number of servo ports, ie AR637T has 6 ports, can handle 20 channel. So for things like flight mode and panic you do not have to give up a servo port. How about a video on this and how to set things up accordingly?
Sean, I have tried to download this to my Samsung phone but message comes up that it will not download as program as it is made for older version of phone. Do you have any suggestions?

But how do you do it on an Apple product and put the plane in safe mode
Great info Never knew that thanks
