Why did I read that as “horny frox”
My guess is that Gibdos are coded where any damage source is reduced to a value of 1 when they aren't weakened by an element
My guess is either that or they're immune to fall damage since they can spawn by dropping from a nest.
That can't be true.
I have killed gibdoes at varying speeds when not weakened by an element.
It might be that they just don't take fall damage. After all, they do fall far enough for that to happen when they spawn.
@@redstonewarrior0152 I take that to mean the damage calcs are not a binary reduction to 1 then, but operate on a substantial defence buff when not weakened by an element. I think the general agreement is they more likely then have special coding to specifically not take fall damage, or it's reduced to 1 like I said originally. I couldn't tell in the video but I'm sure a close analysis could confirm either theory.

Oh wait, does ice also work on them? I went straight for the "kill it with fire" method before ever being instructed to use electricity, and then never even bothered with ice.
@@Levacquesidon's ability can wash the skin off of their bones allowing you to strike their bones. I wouldn't be surprised of ice worked in the same method
@@LevacqueYes it does worrk on them. It freezes them, causing your next attack to ignore all physical damage resistance, and once un-frozen they become weakened like from all other elemental attacks.

The problem is, they only take elemental damage and fall damage is no elemental damage by any means
They take regular melee damage too, although it's not a lot. I've killed a Gibdo with just normal sword attacks before.

Something interesting I have noticed it that arocudas have exactly 2 hp for some reason. So if you throw items like apples at it it will survive 1 hit. So at least thay are 1 hp stronger than keese.

I had something like this happen completely by accident I was hunting the King Gleeoks in the sky and for one of them I ended up being able to approach from above.
With a few well placed arrows it was falling to the ground but what I didn't account for was the fact that he was flying so close to the edge of the island that after hitting it he rolled right off. Funny as it was it kinda sucked since he didn't remain in combat on the ground and started to slowly fly back up so I had to wait for his slow ass to get there.
I wanna see someone get a stal boko with gloom on it to one of the temples in the sky, the wind temple would be most impressive
