FANtastic to see what's going on at the Steel Palace out here in Cali. (Put 'em all on a train and bring 'em out to Kern County Raceway Park, a 5/8s mile =very= similar to Jukasa. PLEASE.)
@@michaelshotts6482 lol and dirt is better? Thats gotta be a joke. Always been an asphalt fan, went to a couple dirt races, just furthered my opinion that asphalt is better racing than dirt. Dont see nearly as much side by side on dirt, same shit different track no matter where they go, and I just dont see the excitement is guys driving a car that has no grip so they just have to sling it in for a pass and hope it sticks. the whole thing is a snoozefest besides the few times a race were a pass is made. Just my opinion, im sure you have yours. Maybe we’re both a little too biased lol
@@mitchdrew9005 I'm going to be honest every dirt race I've ever been to (and been to a ton of them) have always produced better heat racing than asphalt, I am trying to get into asphalt racing as I am planning on going to Oswego Speedway multiple times this year, I've just always seen more side by side racing on short tracks than most asphalt races
That's part of what makes them 'modified'. If you go back to the roots of stock car racing in America, you had Strictly Stock, and you had a modified division. When you know the terms, you get a better idea of why they look funky. As far as why would they do this, being 'wider' on the right side, means that more weight is pushed to the left side. Left side weight helps get around left hand turns. Even the engines of these cars is pushed to the side. It's in line between the left side tires rather than being in the middle of the car.
Watch slapshoes video on supers. Brief history of the division and how the cars have developed overtime, from the very first race where it was run what ya brung, to people turning indy cars into short track supers, to the great Jimmy Shampine and all the way up to what you see here today. Badass racing division with fearless drivers, that in my opinion, doesn’t get enough coverage. Cheers from another racing fan 🍻
What a What boring races 1 line race where is the ovettaking talk about fall asleep just because they have wings on top they drive nothing like a sprintcar !
Dirt sucks. Driving a car with 0 grip and just pulling slide jobs hoping it sticks so u dont destroy the guy on the outside of you. On asphalt you use your talent to set up a pass and race hard and clean and pass the guy with skill. At least thats how it should be. Kids today drive different, but regardless, it is miles more entertaining than dirt.
@@roberthawks9704 no, I understood what you said. I was letting you know that the way you worded your comment could potentially cause confusion. A simple way to fix your comment would be to add some kind of punctuation after you said boring. For example: _"boring! sprint car racing..."_ I apologise, this sort of thing just annoys me. Either way, enjoy your racing

Flo racing needs to do more of these races

nice neat cars compared to the things with the barndoor wings!
I like the super modified sprints just like these but they have Fins on top like the Sprint cars have
It would be cool if they took 30 of these drivers and race them at on one of nascars midsize oval tracks
Why is one side of the car wider than the other?

Gosh the wings are hideous.

They drive nothing like sprint cars because they are very clearly not sprint cars.
No Shit they drive differently than a sprint car, It's asphalt dip shit, you think they're going drift em through the corners.

Until you go and hear how loud they are, smell the methanol, eat a Hofmann hot dog, watch 34 supers going 160 mph you can’t make that opinion stick .
boring sprint cars in the dirt is where it's at
Please be more careful with how you word your comments. The way you wrote this implies that you think sprint car racing on dirt is boring
