Queen performed two nights at Wembley and on one of the nights during this song giant balloon characters of Freddie, Brian, Roger, & John were released into the air. Freddie was the ultimate showman. At one of his earliest performances when he was with another band, he had trouble getting the mic out of the stand and was able to get that top section out and from then on that’s how he used the mic. He said that he wanted it to be his thing that he would be known for. Brian and Roger were in a band called Smile and they all knew each other from College and when Tim, the lead singer of Smile, left it was natural to have Freddie join and then they got John Deacon on bass. It was Freddie’s idea to change the name to Queen.and the rest is history
