I always romance Morrigan with a warrior Cousland -- I like the irony, no matter how cliche it sounds, of a rich, cooky noble lad falling head over heels in love with an independent, wild apostate. Besides, ever since reading the Witcher books, I am a sucker for pairings where one is a sword-wielding and soft-hearted badass and the other is a snarky, as beautiful as is deadly sorceress (bonus points if she is dark-haired and has Mama Bear tendencies).

My warrior Cousland is another cliche. He is a Stark like person, always duty and family first. Later being devastated for not able to save his brother's family just to face with another loss then another. But still intrigued with this woman in the wild who is nothing like ever he saw or being told about. Despite how she is he still treats her with respect as he always been taught by his parents and the decency caught her off guard and later truly falling for him because the first time in her life during the journey she experienced what is it like to be appreciated even loved for who she is and not for what she can do or give.

When her hard shells and walls came down, the girl behind them are just adorable. Also note how all companions in Origins dissed Morrigan and basically discouraging you to pursue the relationship, but she's the only companion in Dragon Age who actually marries and have a child with you 😂😂😂

Even though Morrigan walks often on my nerves, I like her friendship story very much. You discover so much of her personality and she soften up a bit. It just feels weird when romancing Alistair and she keeps on berating him for his feelings. Jealousy I guess. Coping mechanism likes to introduce themself. You are a bit of an buffer between them.
I fully expected to like Leliana more during my first play through but when my snarky warden met her snarky, sparks flew and it was all over from there
Morrigan is definitely my top favorite romance in all gaming I think it's in great part from her excellent voice actress Claudia Black that did an amazing job with her, not to mention the writing of her character of course And my canon Warden being a dalish, it just comes full circle with all the Eluvian stuff that Morrigan deals in the Witch Hunt dlc and Inquisition
Claudia Black also voiced Vala Maldoran form "Star Gate SG1" sesons 8-10 and her character has a lot in common wit Morrigan besides that she is a bit more goofy.

Hey Meg, have you seen this player's complete Alistair video? It's worth watching all the way through. Aside from Josephine, Isabela, Fenris, Cassandra, Leliana, and Cullen, it's one of the best romances in my opinion. That said, the romances are but a small part of why I love Dragon Age so much.
I always thought of Mythal and Flemeth being in the same situation as Anders and Justice. They're not a separate entity anymore, they became one and the same.
At this point Mythal and Flemeth are one single being. Not 2 souls in 1 body, but merged into 1 soul. I don't think it's possible to consider them separate them anymore.

If you don't do the ritual and bring a romanced Alistair with you to the final battle, you don't get a choice like you do in all other scenarios. Alistair says "You act like I'm giving you a choice" and then kisses you before running and killing the Archdemon himself. A love so strong that it bypasses player choice lol.

Or maybe just even the shorter early access version which is out now? Although it's a D&D game, it shares a lot of similarities with Dragon Age in terms of the romance and the role-playing.

Morrigan gets way to much hate, sure she's a b**ch at first but she's not use to people and has been taught to stay away from them since a child, she develops alot especially when you see her during dragon age inquisition if she had a child, always loved it when her and the warden stayed together and raised Kirean she is a good mum to him and changes so much due to love ❤❤❤
You should check out the Leliana romance next. Especially with the Morrigan child. I was curious to see how'd that would turn out in one of my playthroughs
I never tried that but I wish it would be possible to let Leliana join the dark ritual. During the whole story Leliana never hides the fact that she's attracted to Morrigan.
I understand your reaction at the end but hopefully you realize how it’s not the same two situations at all. Different people, indeed different species apart. Solas is a god with a much more complicated story and mind than Morrigan (years ago I couldn’t have imagined such a thing!!!) and the inquisitors story with solas is not done
I perfectly understand, I tried to make a female exile for KOTOR 2 once, to go with the canon version you know? But I just couldn't go through it all, I couldn't connect with my avatar, I couldn't immerse myself fully.
I love Morrigan first time playing can't lie she was sexy asf to romance I made alot of good choices in Dragon Age Origins and Morrigan hated some of my choices yet I still romanced her opposites attract it seems gave her gifts 🎁 😅 to boost the relationship in the end of the DLC I showed my girl I loved her still and left with her to see my Male Grey Wardens son awesome story ❤😯 a ponytail and beard was my look 👌
