Dorian's romance tarot card is my absolute favorite. it is so satisfying to see Dorian opens up and be vulnerable, knowing this time he never need to leave.
I would recommend you watch a short video with a romanced Dorian after the inquisitor's hand is trying to kill him/her :) It's absolutely heartbreaking, but an absolutely amazing performance from Dorians VA. And if you didn't know, the writer who wrote Dorian, based Dorian on his own experience of coming out as gay.
What makes me even happier is you can actually use the crystal in a certain spot to speak with Dorian, so you truly are NEVER apart. God his character and story and romance made me cry over my KFC, I love him to bits.
this is my canon romance. origins was morrigan. 2 was merril. i love dorian and he may or may not have influenced my taste in men as a young bi curious man lol.
At the part where you asked "wait, why aren't you flirting?", I think I know why. There are two first kisses you can get with Dorian depending on the order you do things so they were saving it until later basically
The only time I ever played a male Inquisitor was specifically to romance Dorian - absolutely worth it, too. When you watch a Sera romance, see if you can find one where the Inquisitor is a Qunari, it's so much fun. :D
Def one of my fav Bioware romances in general. Also, I can see your soul dying seeing how much you can interact with others compared to Solas, I'm so sorry lmao
I have only ever played female straight inquisitors, but Dorian, for my inquisitor, is more than just her best friend, he’s like her non-romantic soulmate (Cullen is her romantic soulmate). I literally love Dorian so much ❤️
Oh the devs absoLUTELY knew what they were doing when they chose to phrase it as "undue influence". That is EXACTLY the way someone who's homophobic but tries to pretend they're not speaks. They don't outright say that it's because whoever is 'influencing' is gay. They will point at literally any other perceived flaw and blame that. They will pose it as caring concern for your wellbeing, that they're saying this out of love or kindness, but all it is, is barely disguised bigotry.
Totally disagree with this. You are just projecting yourself. Because if you romance Iron Bull that supposed "bigotry" you are talking about is nowhere to be seen. In this game, people couldn't care less if you are gay or not, what they did with Dorian's father was just shoehorned to make Dorian the stereotypical gay story (as he is just a checklist character with no other purpose). But overall, the reason people disapprove of Inqui relationship with Dorian is simply reduced to "he is Tevinter" there is nothing beyond that.
@@SeventhheavenDK in this game some people don’t care about people being gay, but other people do care. Different cultures with different opinions can exist within the same game world. It is not unreasonable that some would be homophobic. It’s not out of the question that the authors would put a double meaning in some dialogue. Something tells me you just don’t want to see any of the reality of being gay represented in fantasy or media in general. The writer for him was literally gay working off his own experiences, yet you want to pretend it was contrived?
I recognize the uploader's Inquisitor as the one of master RPG explorer DanaDuchy. He Made videos with every possible companion reaction for every quest in all Dragon Age Games, and more.
even eight years after being released, having a strong AND somewhat effeminate, openly gay main character... and for him to be such a fan favorite! its rly amazing ❤️❤️
Legitimately, my favorite Inquisition romance. Hell, it even ties with Alistair in Dragon Age romances in general! I really can't do a playthrough without romancing Dorian if I play as a man, it's just such a good romance!
Phenomenal performance by Dorian's voice actor. Dorian is in my Top 3 companions of all time in gaming. Top 3: 1. Sir Auron Final Fantasy X is undesputed number 1 2 & 3 Dorian and Balthier from Final Fantasy XII. Been many, many years since last time experiencing FFXII so I don't remember enough to choose . Top 3 romanced companions: 1.Solas 2.Triss Merigold The Witcher Trilogy 3.Morigan and Leliana and Isabela 6.Liara Mass Effect trilogy and Tali 8. Alchibiates Assasins Creed Oddysey 🤣 9.Garrus Mass Effect Trilogy,Zevran Dragon Age,Sera and Cassandra and Cullen and Alistar,Bastila from Kotor ,Miranda and Steve Kortez and Miranda from ME trilogy Oh right Dorian is somewhere in there as well. And Bull. Even Tom Rannier . Oh and Josephine. Who else?
Great reaction! Please watch Sera romance with a Female Qunari and Josephine w/ Female Inquisitor. My favs romance were Mage / Cullen and Dorian on a male run through like this vid.
My canon romance for DA:I, though my Inquisitor was a male elf. It is just... Too good. And I can relate to Dorian on a personal level. I grew up in a very homophobic family, with a father who would always tell me how wrong it is to be with someone of the same gender. Which would always tear me apart on the inside. Yet I was too scared to say anything, I didn't let my family know that I'm a lesbian until only a few years ago and the reaction my father had... If magic was a real thing, then I'm certain that he would have tried the same blood ritual on me. So, playing through this romance always breaks my heart. Yet I can't help but love it. I just.... Words can't describe just how much I love this romance.
Just ran a male Inquisitor through the game so I could romance Dorian... SO WORTH IT! I don't know if this was answered on steam but Amatus means Beloved
My Inquisitor flirted with everyone, male and female, and, by the time I was ready to settle down and focus on just one romance, nobody wanted a bar of me. I think I broke Josephine's heart. I definitely ruined our conversations after I got with Dorian, lol.
I love Dorians romance, buuuut I got a few (possibly nitpicky) issues with it. Like, while I do appreciate that they dealt with homosexuality and prejudice in his personal quest ... the fact that both his quests (father/amulet) revolve around his family, when the entire point should be that he doesn't need a family which rejected him so horribly, just really irks me. Also that the one gay guy is the only one to end up going far away, no matter what you do; when with every other romance you can keep them at your side (bar Solas, where it is done for imho much better reasons, y'know, with him being a friggin "god") ... yeah that also somewhat irks me. Yeah I know there aren't always happy endings ... but why its specifically the gay guy who gets the least happy ending of all the romances (again, bar Solas, but with Solas its at least a main plot reason and less of an afterthought)? Again, maybe nitpicky, but with how ... mixed Biowares handling of LGBT-characters and -romances was in the past, maybe I just got a bit overly critical to balance out how much I initially overlooked any of the questionable things they did with their LGBT-characters in their earlier games just because I was so happy we got any representation at all.
But isn´t it realistic and therefore good that no matter how estranged you are with your family and no matter how bad things are you never really can´t cut your ties to your family, because you still love them and Dorian clearly does and wants his amulet back as a sort of proof that he still belongs to them . Isn´t it also good that Dorian had the chance to make his peace with his father in the end, who, at least from my point of view, cleary loved his son, but pride and fear for his son´s loss of reputation, which is a great deal in Tevinter, made him make a terrible mistake. I don´t excuse his actions but I don´t see him as an unredeemable monster. How many LGBTQ+ people with similar experiences as Dorin had that chance? Even when you are not LGBTQ+, you can relate to him on many levels. He is also symbol of LGBTQ+ peple who can make changes in their rather homophopic enviroments, who have the power and the voice to do soand he is still with his Amatus and they are there for each other, that ending isn´t so bad I think and hey maybe in DA4, whick very likely takes place in Tevinter they finally get their happy ending and till that end I enjoy the big fluff, the drama and angst.
there is no bed scene with Solos because he does not want to use Lavelan when he cheats on her. in addition, Lavelan just says that "The Evil Wolf still kidnapped like in the stories of the elves" to which Solas says that "No, I would never do that to you" so there is no bed scene with Solas
Lmao the passive aggressiveness towards Solas 😂✨
He’s a rotten egg lmao
“He’s not my friend. He’s...”
Inquisitor: *Offended af*
“Choose your next words carefully, I may not be anything *REAL* *QUICK* “
probably one of my favorite Dragon Age romances, the storyline is so beautifully written. 💖

Ya that’s one of the best trespasser romance moments
There is a video with everyones romance options in tresspasser for this, i 100%%%%% recommend this too!!!!
Oh that would explain why I felt Dorian was such a good gay character. He really felt authentic.
@@writershard5065. Yes, a walking checklist and nothing beyond that.

The coolest part, we get to meet Maevaris Tilani and Dorian in Veilguard!
Dorian: I think I’m going back home-

You should see the Bull and Dorians romance. Plus part banter 😂 it’s an excellent show
even eight years after being released, having a strong AND somewhat effeminate, openly gay main character... and for him to be such a fan favorite! its rly amazing ❤️❤️
I love Dorian, romance or not. He's just so sincere and feels like a live human. For my female Lavellan he genuinely seemed like a best friend.

Squeals of joy.. love Dorian 😁 his mind 🤗 and passion. Lol at least he cares about a person and not an Elven ball. 😂
