Thank you for your video. I have stayed in the accessible sky suite for the Celebrity Equinox. On the equinox, the retreat sundeck was not accessible. Would love to hear your comments on the accessibility of the retreat sundeck on the Beyond. Also, how useful was the Butler service with the recent changes implemented by Celebrity?
We are currently on the Equinox but not in a suite. I understand that the ships that don’t have an accessible sundeck have a reserved area on the regular sundeck. Is that true in your case? We will give a review of the Beyond soon. I will only say I liked the retreat Sundeck much more on the Apex.
@@wheelchairadventures8564 Our cruise on the Equinox was in January, 2023. We pointed out to the Retreat concierge that the Retreat sundeck was not accessible and she indicated that this was clearly noted on the Celebrity website; which it was not. I was skeptical when I booked so I had our travel agent follow-up with Celebrity before our cruise. Our travel agent was advised it was accessible (She had the emails from Celebrity to prove it). So we were expecting the Retreat sundeck to be accessible but found out it was not once we boarded. We raised the issue and ultimately Celebrity gave us a travel voucher for a small portion of the cost of the trip. The Retreat concierge did offer to reserve an area for us so we took up the offer but we often had to have staff clear the area from other passengers when we went to use it. The staff were very helpful and did their best but of course they did not want to upset the other passengers, either.
I liked having both a shower and a bathtub, but it seems to me there could've been another arm bar on the other side of the toilet and you are right that seat inside The shower is rather small. Having the button to get into the room is great, but why not also have electric doors for the bathroom and out to the balcony? Since this is one of the newest ships, it seems like they could have added those things to the accessible cabin. The room needs some nice paintings and maybe some additional color to spruce it up... too bland. It's nice and spacious for getting around inside the room. I don't think it is any larger than a junior accessible suite, but having a butler and other amenities could be nice.
All good points. The door out to the deck is always a problem, especially when there is an incline up to it. Maneuvering all that could be a problem without someone to help. In a later video we will talk about the art but we can tell you no one is smiling in the artwork! Strange.

Is there room for the chair next to the toilet?
We didn’t have any trouble finding room for the wheelchair next to the toilet.

It depends on itinerary, length and number of guests. You can find out on the Celebrity website by looking up any cruise you are interested in.
i had more storage space on NCL.. i wouldnt call that "a lot of storage space"
I had enough closets and drawers for 4 peoples clothes

I’ve only been on apex in a sky suite. Your room is extremely spacious. I’m 60 days from my next cruise. Which will be my 2nd. So a newbie.
