And the optional tips, cables, adaptors, mini tools kit, cable connectors and end stoppers! Which ones do I use, what do I have heaps of, which Item do I never use for its intended purpose and how I repurposed it!
I also have an up-close view on how to connect your cables to your tips! I am not kidding when I say you need to tighten your tips with your T-Pin.
The conditions of the giveaway are, on the 13/3/17 I will randomly choose one name, if that person has fulfilled the terms that are, like and comment on the "Chiaogoo Interchangeable Accessories, How do I choose?" I love the little hearts and I agree you have to tighten those needles! Great job.
This is the mist informative podcast about Chiagoo sets. Thank you for saving me money now I don't have to buy endless cables as I buy bigger needles. Oh I wondered what the heart was for 😄
Thank you Shann! I am so glad I could help!
Love the adaptors to go up to larger size tips. Also the connectors to add on and make the cables longer. The heart shape rubber grip is included now in the set.
This video is a couple of years old now...
@@Fiberific doesnt matter, still applicable. As the Chiagoo Red Lace are terrific.
Awesome❗clearly explained and illustrated. Thanks for sharing🌹 I'll customize then.
Stepping down with the adapters is a great idea - and a $ saver, too! Always enjoy your videos - please keep them up.
Thanks Judy!
Another fabulous video. Might need to consider purchasing some of the Chiaogoo interchangeable needles :-)
Thanks Melanie! I know it is obvious but I really do love them!
Thanku for another great video about ChioaGoo interchangeable knitting needles and accessories.I enjoy watching your videos as I always learn something new.Kind regards Gabriele
Thank you Gabriele! I am glad you like it!
Love this what helpful video for a new knitter. Thanks so much for the information
Thanks Carol, Let me know if you have any questions I can help woth!
Love the new background, Chantelle. Also love Chicago needles, I only have two fixed circulars at the moment but they are my favourites.
Thanks Jackie! I think I have a thing for the new background! Glad you love your chiaogoos!
Just bought mine. Not sure about small to big or big to small yet. Thanks for this video ❤️
Just recently found out about these needles. These tip will help me to order everything I will probably need all at once. Thank you.
You are very welcome!
Great video as always. really helpful. I will have to order some of the adapters between sizes.
the new background looks good.
Thank you! I love it... my husband is jealous.
Absolutely love my chiaogoo interchangeable set! The rubber grip is on my wish list to make tightening a lot easier :)
The grippers are awesome, and just a bit cute too!
Ooo now I need more bits!😄 Great info as always.
All the BITS!!!!!!
Great video! I'd love a set of these!
I really like the suggestion of buying your cords for your most used sizes and use the adapter for sizing down. I have the full 2-15 set but many patterns I have done since getting it has been for the Smalls. I also plan on getting the shorties and minis so I will likely get both sets of adapters eventually. I am also going to get the Tunisian set which comes with the adapter since it only has one set of cables.
Thanks for your video. Very helpful ❤️
Thanks, Chantelle❗️I finally bought Chiago Goo Twist Red Lace Needle 5" Tip Set, Small, free shipping $120.46. I'll let you know when they come .... Thanks again for your review.
I'd love to know what you think !
Great video. Thanks
i was watching and realized I was wondering how many Star Wars T shirts you have- do apologize very random! Love the new background. I knitted a shawl on my Chiaogoo fixed set and it was really a great experience- excellent quality needles.
Well the conversation of my tshirts is not as random as you might think, but off the top of my head, 7.... I like star wars... a lot.... I am so happy with the new background! a few lessons learned dealing with a dark background, but don't worry, I will work it out.. this youtube thing is nothing if not a learning curve, and who doesn't love a good learning curve!
Great informative video. Great suggestions on how to save money by using connectors rather than buying new cables each time you Need one.
I discovered today that my keys to tighten my Knitter's Pride interchangeable also tighten the full set I have of ChiaoGoo. What I like with that is that I can take a locking stitch marker and put it on my zipper pull for my full set and then I don't have to go hunting for the key T-pin. It works and I have loads of them. I still use my Knitter's Pride on occasion like if I get in a position where I use two circs as going Magic Loop with my ChiaGoo set is lacking long enough cables.... I intend to buy more. Got a check in, going to put it to some good use!
That's awesome!!!
@@Fiberific I also found for my socks (which I knit a lot of) and for them, I have the Mini Twists in the Red zip case. The tightening tool from Knitter's Pride is too big, not for the regular tips of course. But I have some Hiya Hiya circs and they come with a metal stitch marker and that clips on my zipper pulls and is perfect for tightening the mini tips and cables, and as I have two of them as req'd to tighten the Minis, they are now on the Minis' zipper pull.
I do love Hiya Hiya too but Chiagoo is the bees-knees. And I ordered my extra cables as I have a customer who can't live without my graphic arts work so I get in occasional checks since I am retired, that is my knitting MAD MONEY!
I ordered the mini cables and the adapters for big to small and small to mini, that way if I do a project needing Magic Loop, I can use the Mini cables on all of those projects. If the yarn is heavier, I'll order the longer cables later one. Don't want to break the bank all in one accessory order. (Such self-control!)
Love your videos, I would love to be blessed with a set of ChiaoGoo needles, perhaps they would easy my tendonitis, I stopped knitting for a long time. But I am trying to use circular needles now. I read many wonderful reviews about them.
Love your video and presentation style. I too am a ChiaoGoo devotee 🤗🧶👍🏾
very interesting. I have just started making socks so all the different needles are interesting!
ooohhhh socks! I really do seem to get 2nd syndrome... I have a lot of 1st socks ;)
I have just purchased a size 2 tip and a cable to try out the interchangeable. I have a regular circular from them and I love it. Hope I can say the same for the interchangeable. Thanks for all your videos :)
I hope you love them just as much too! And you are welcome, thanks for watching them ;)
Great video! I don't have the chiaogoo interchangeables yet, but for my interchangeable set, I always use a rubber band as a gripper. The heart is really cute, though!
I am pro rubber band, i used to use one before the grippers came out!
great demo with heaps of info.
Thanks Stacey! I hope it helps!
To tighten the needles it's way better to hold the gum-heart straight on the metallic part! I did so as you and I broke my needle direktly at the beginning of the needle out of the metallic! Since then I allways hold my needle where the metall is. If I would have thought bevore I would have noticed that otherwise I screw the needle in the opposite direktion of the cable and that makes a thrill against needle and metal! That can never be good for the needle not for mine and not for anyone's. Please explain it to your viewers, I can't led them know, you're the star who can. Your video is great! All in all! So much information! I'm in between hiyahiya or chiaogoo and I think , more and mort, it should be chiaogoo! Thanks a lot! Happy Eastern to you and your family and be blessed!
Thank you so very much!! I have wanted to buy a set of one of these forever but it is confusing! This has helped very much!
Thanks Mandy, I am glad I could help, if you have any questions please feel free to ask!
Very good advice
Thank you!
Oh now I need to buy a set of these even more. I cant wait until my birthday
I hope you birthday is not too far off, mine is forever away.. or at least it seems so... at this time of the year ;)
Great video with great information
Thanks Kathy! I hope you have the information you need to make your decision ;)
Fiberific! Definitely helped and needles ordered 😀. I ordered the Chiaogoo mini with some extra cables, an adapter from small to mini, and end stoppers
I have the 5” Complete, 5” Mini and 4” Small + 9 US. I will be purchasing the Full Shorty Set. I have 6-8” cables for the 4”, and 2 of all the rest of the cables. When I get the Shorties, I will purchase duplicate cables.
wow!! that's awesome!!!
I have found that the rubber gripper comes in handy when removing the tips from the cables.
oh absolutely! they are great aren't they!
Yes they are! On the smaller size metal needles it is hard for me to hold on to the cable part of the join because of joint problems. I sometimes need a gripper on the needle and the cable side to loosen them.
Really enjoyed, tfs
Thank you!
I absolutely LOVE ChaiGoo needles... I always order the wonderful Red Lace... There just isn’t anything better..
Edited to add.., If you lose your tiny T pins, any good safety pin will work just as well...
What size cable will I use to make a 24
Just got my first sets of Chiaogoo Interchangeables, and quite frankly, I don't see that the keys do anything. There is nothing there for them to do. But, we'll see. I just can't wait to start making socks two at a time on them.
Okay, Hubby figured it out for me.
Thanks for the crash course. Do Chiaogoo make a tip stopper.... to put on your WIP before you stuff it into your project bag?
At this stage they don't but if enough of us ask for it over on their wishlist www.chiaogoo.com/wishlist/ you never know what will come in the future ;)
Great video, I've had the lace bug and now the bug bite from socks is my obsession. So I've been hearing so many good things about ChiaoGoo. You've made a believer out of me.
BTW, I've been troubled my whole life with not only moist hands but sometimes, they have literally dripped. I've finally found for me that it is a protein issue for me. Several years ago I had dreadful arthritis in my hands, had to stop knitting and crocheting completely. Really hurt my heart but my hands hurt more. I decided that since I was not able to take cow's milk early in my life, maybe that was it, the protein casein ... could it be? Well, yes it was.
My husband had Prostate Cancer and though at that time I did not eat much meat, we both gave up meat after his surgery plus he had to give up dairy. Meat and dairy protein has growth factor which makes cancer grow, but it also does the same to the rest of us. We went plant-based. We both got rid of asthma and hay fever allergies but also ... he lost 25 lbs and I've lost over 50 lbs. All without hunger. You do have to learn to cook differently.
But since menopause, I've melted with my hyperhidrosis so miserable there were days I just would not go out. Guess what, no more hyperhidrosis at all.
There are many plant-milk substitutes and they taste good and there are meat substitutes now also. I had no idea it would get rid of sweaty hands and feet. (LOL! Stopped weird sweating everywhere).
I don't get a lot of exercise as I just want to knit whenever I can, and I have found I can knit and walk. But I have lost all that weight without exercise. You are a beautiful person inside and out and I hope you may want to experiment with what you eat. The thing which really made the difference, I no longer use oil unless it is natural in the food. So avocados I can use in moderation like spreading an 1/8 on bread or toast, and eating green olives with pimento in a jar but no olive oil. Whole foods only and if I had had this information earlier in my life, how much I could have enjoyed life more. The food tastes good, you just have to adjust to it.
As both my mother and sister died of breast cancer, staying free of cancer is a great big plus as well as it is healthy for my brain. (Dad died of Alzheimer's disease as well as my maternal grandmother.) Best wishes to you.
Thank you for your great video.
oh how I want this set... hope I am gifted it soon. I fell bad buying myself....I have the hiya hiya set
Have you subtley hinted to gift givers that you want this? You could accidentally watch the how to choose the right chiaogoo video with them in the room, or accidentally send them the link... I am queen of subtle ;)
Hi, new subscriber. I'm shopping needle sets. The Chicagoo interchangeables are the ones "I think" that I want.
They haves the word "twist" on the sets now. Does that mean it allows the cords to exist as a couple other other higher end sets do? I'm not certain if I twist my needles when I knit but my work it constantly needing straightened. Turned. Is that naturally what happens o or am I twisting as I knit?
Also.not certain if I want bamboo or metal tips? Can you talk about why you chose bamboo please?
Thank you.
Thanks.
I'm not sure about the twist, I know the red cord does not kink up, the spin nylon cords that come with the bamboo sets have a swivel situation and don't kink, I personally prefer the stainless steel but the bamboo is excellent for slippery yarns.
Fantastic videos! So informative... I’m going to get one smal set. But I’m considering between spin bamboo or the twist red lace. Is there any difference between their cables? Because the spin got the clear cables, while the twist git the red one.. please someone answer mee
Hi Hanna, the cords are very different. There is another video here that might help ua-cam.com/video/w-K7hdH_lf4/v-deo.html but the long and the short of it is the nylon cords are find and light weight and can swivel in their connection (less twisting up) whereas the red a steel threads wrapped in red nylon they are stronger and have no memory which means they don't twist up. Both are good for different things.
Fiberific! Thank you so much! I will check out the link! 💕
I'm watching while knitting socks with fibreific fairy floss explosion ... unfortunately not using Chiagoos though I only have one set of DPNS
OOOOh that was such a pretty colour! Will you share pics? I am on instagram @fiberific and would love to see them!
