@@everestacreshomestead I retired early December (so excited)! Now to figure out about the herd share/delivery and if that will work for me or not (I definitely don’t have the set-up) to do much yet. Time will tell!
How do you charge for delivery? And you deliver just once a week? So the milk stores in the fridge fine, and then how long is it good for for your customer once you get it to them? And what exactly was the lady showing you to make with the grape juice?
@@ashleyb216 we haven’t charged for delivery. We worked it in the contract if we ever needed to but we were happy to deliver as it brought more business. We delivered one a week. We have since gone to on the farm only. Which is so much nicer. The milk lasts for weeks in the fridge before going sour. And and typically won’t sell it if it’s any older than three days old. We’ll just take it for our family, but we usually don’t ever have a problem most people pick it up right on time. She was making water Keifer a natural fermented soda. Delicious.
Just found your channel - love it!
Very inspiring … I would love to do this once I’m not working FT. Now we just milk for us and a few friends. But love your milk barn!❤
