I like how this video implies that Captain Toad doesn't have the strength to jump while wearing a heavy backpack, but he does have the power to trap Mario in a gravity orb for all of eternity

Well... It didn't age in the best way tbh... Some games can look quite ugly when upscaling that 480p to 4k using an OSSC.
Because since you basically quadruple every pixel, any jaggered edges are amplified as well. Normally these jaggered edges are hidden by the low resolution and composite video artifacts, but upscaling the noise-free component signal to a crystal clear 4k HDR display really doesn't look al that great with 3d graphics (although 2d Pixel graphics look great)

Toad was depressed out in space until he realized he was floating over a gravity field. Mario being the hero he is attempts to save the Toad. Toad traps Mario to make him feel the infinite pain he has suffered for an eternity and a half.
I kept instinctively wanting to point at star bit clusters throughout this entire video.

I like these Super Mario Galaxy videos. Who knew that the real mysteries of space were the extra assets the developers left in the whole time.

Actually that gravity sphere is captain toads ship and you get stuck inside of the ship in a frenzy so you are in a polygon cluster sorta that's what my guess is I don't have spotlight or the other one so you die

Cosmic Cove is my favorite level in Galaxy 2 because it is one of the only levels in that game that throws me back to that amazing atmosphere of the Galaxy game.
Captain Toad and Leon have one thing in common:
they get lost very easily in the most absurd places.
I’ve always been curious about what the gearmo at the end of Rolling Coaster Galaxy says if you complete the level without collecting any purple coins which is normally impossible. I was thinking that there might be some unseen dialogue since the gearmo at the end of Tall trunk slide’s purple coin mission has dialogue if you manage to go down the entire slide without collecting any purple coins.

I love these Super Mario Galaxy videos! It feels like a while since the last one tbh. Anyway, I completely agree with certain lvls either feeling relaxing and like a place where you can zone out, or depressing if you're already in a bad mood. Generally speaking tho, I love the general vibe this game gives off

Mario is stuck in that gravity sphere because the starshroom captain toad is usually on isn’t there, and the starshroom is technically a planet in this case so it has gravity associated with it. But since the starshroom is gone, Mario was able to go right in the center of the gravity where the starshroom usually would be. So he gets stuck in there with captain toad above him lol
That's make sense, but why the gravity is still here, but the little Saturne doesn't have is gravity?

How about this phenomenon where the scenery up to a certain point vanishes in the Bowser’s Star Reactor and Dark Matter Plant when you reach that point. I experienced that when I played the game.

In spin dig galaxy in smg2 if you go into first person mode behind the first luma that becomes a launch star there is some weird black thing that’s is chilling in space. It kinda looks like a honey comb but black. I think it could be cool if swanky did a vid on this

Swanky Box, I've found something obscure in Honeyhive galaxy when playing Super Mario Galaxy on my 3D All-Stars save file. A small floating tree when I went to first person view when I was trying to rescue Luigi. Don't know what the tree is doing there. I thought I leave a comment to tell you.
Sounds like the tree trunk that you fall through during the star where you fight the Mandibug Parent. Unless this is a tree with the leaves on it you’re referring to in which case not sure
