I would try running the cable inside a spiral metal sleeve, much like the one used on flexible shower head hoses. It shouldn't affect the cables flexibility while making it more unpleasant for foxes to chew on.
Hi Rick, thanks for your suggestions, I need to try a few things because the other thing that needs to be taken into account is how it looks with the cable wrapped around the charger when not in use as many of these chargers are on show on the front of properties.
New one on me, we know rodents like a bit of T&E which they use to sharpen their teeth but never known a fox to do it. How's about a Hi level swing arm to keep the cable up off the ground ? or a security light might be enough to scare them away
Brilliant ! 👍🏼🤦🏼♂️ This is the 27th single reason NOT to go E.V folks……. CLEARLY WE ARE NO WHERE NEAR READY FOR THEM FGS !! Come back in 20 years ! Roll on hydrogen technology 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 !
Hydrogen has been around for at least a decade. You can buy a hydrogen fueled car today. They are expensive and inefficient which is why no one is buying them.
at most likely, the biting would cause a short and trip the breaker and shock the hell out of the fox
Is there a flexible conduit that can be used ?

Hi @bernie8k good suggestion!
Some public phones used to have such metal coil cables on their receivers.
They were pretty idiot proof.
There are rodent tapes on Amazon for wiring harnesses - some emit an odor and some have a fine wire mesh. Might work.
Hi @robstephens thanks for the suggestion, il have a look now!! Thanks for watching also!! 👍
Fire hose or flexible metal conduit wrap

Hi @curlinghall, again good suggestions, they don’t really want an arm swing, I had suggested this, might suggest the security light though!!
