I did an experiment with my first play through ever. I made a solid white snake with neon yellow/green running down the sides. I survived all the way to 1.4 without encountering any other players, and I only left because the game crashed. (I should mention this was on an official server)
Killing other players can be pretty tough not knowing the strengths and weaknesses on match ups but the first to get that surprise attack usually wins after they have injured their opponent. Not always the case but it a great jump start.
And what's the max growth? every dino can grow infinite or it will stop? Thanks for this video, i was playing the isle back in 2019-2021 and now im getting back to games like this.
Growth now is determined by the gauntlet at least for official servers. As you grow you become more hungry and thirsty and you have an increased chance to get sick. Your growth is determined by how well you survive! Really good balance system now
@@butchersblock does growth slow down if you can't get the reasources that your creature needs? Like if i can't get enough food or water and often end upp at the edge starving or dehydrating?
No there isn't any mods but the amount of content Bob has is incredible compared to pot. The only thing that sucks right now is server population. I'd try it out tho! When a patch drops the pop goes up significantly.
what server do you think is best to play on?? i have 800 hours in the BOB but due to the game dying idk what server is most fun. Karma is ran by a fuckin mega herd, a big ass trope, and a 3.4 acro..
In my opinion Official 2 is the best to play. It the most drama free but lacks population. I can't stand rule babies. Plus the more people we get to play on O2 the better!
Karma is terrible. Large dinos often get revived because they’re fuckbuddies with an admins, an admin was caught using ues cheats and not punished (other staff made an excuse to defend them). can’t wait for a new popular server to emerge
I don't understand how to combat with the group because there is friendly fire in this game and I am always hurting my group 😂 I am just afraid to attack by now while my fellows all around :(
@@eg-draw you just have to learn where and when it's acceptable. Accuracy is imperative but frequently difficult to achieve since you can't predict their movements all the time. Playing with the same group often helps though! You will get there!
Tbf to those who think that infinite growth *is* a balance problem, and one thing that I do agree with, is that it really fucks over mirror matches. A 2.0 wie is always going to be more powerful than a 1.0 wie, unless that wie dumps all its talents into comb/surv or smth, but then the 2.0 can just do the same thing
I feel like that's the reward of surviving that long though. Having more talents, making you stronger. It gives incentive to making critical decisions in the matchup. They may be more powerful but they may not always have the same skill set.

you need to learn when to push and when to pull back, infinite growth is not the issue, the issue is having self control
