Ok after seeing a home assistant notification when I would go to learn the RF remote, I saw it said to hold the button. Well with my ceiling fan that didn't work so I ended up pressing over and over again. After several attempts I learned how HA was learning my remote. It may be different for everyone but if the hold doesn't work just press it over and over again. You'll see a notification in HA and just keep pressing. For me the notification would go off, then would come back right after and if I pressed the button one more time it would learn it. It would NOT learn it if the notification went away and then didn't come right back. So basically hit perform action or whatever verbiage you have on your version of HA, either press and hold over and over or just press and release over and over. Keep doing it until the little notification indicator goes away and for me, it would come right back, I'd hit the button once or twice more and it would learn the command. YMMV. Thanks again The Bearded Tech Guy. Really appreciate your videos.

Mine just shows unavailable. When I use the broadlink integration I don’t get motion but I have humidity and temp. I removed both and just used the hacs integration but still shows unavailable for all. Appreciate your video. Once it’s working knowing how to setup the remote as you showed in the video is very helpful.

What IR or RF devices have you added to Home Assistant through a bridge? Let me know below!

Does this send the commands locally or does it require a cloud service to operate?
In other words, can you set it up, then delete the mobile app for the hub and have HA still record and send IR signals through the IR emitting Hub?

What is the range of the linknlink devices?

The eRemote (IR only) is going to be line of sight for the devices you want to control. The eHub will have the line of sight requirement for IR and I am not sure what the range is for RF as I only have the eRemote. I would assume RF on the eHub is similar to the remote control for any RF device though.

The RF rain seems to be pretty small. I may end up taking this device back because I can't control the ceiling fans in both of my kids room. I have to have the unit in the room for it to actually control the fan. I may end up getting two of the Sonoff blasters from AliExpress because it's half the price.

Bummer. The same rf remote is learned in the app no problem but HA won’t learn it. IR learned quickly without any trouble but nor rf.

I don't have the RF model so I can't test, but you set "Command type" to "rf" correct?
