All the shit I see
I have to give you a lot of credit !
You're not here talking about stupid crap or blabbing about a 7 year itch
Right to the point detailed and there's no delay
Great video !
Keep it going
Too the point, professional and explained in detail with correct part names = Excellence.
Thank you for this awesome video !! I was cleaning my carb up and got the main and secondary jets mixed up and wasn’t certain which went where ..... you got me on the right track ,.. thank you again 😊
This an awesome tutorial for almost all carbs but I have had the worst time finding a lot of videos for a 05 kodiak 450. Like top end, timing, TDC, torque specs while working on it....ect..ect...ect..., hell I could go on and on but watching some of your videos I have been able to rebuild my entire motor even though you're working on a different model. I appreciate you and your know how videos! They are great! Just one video I wish was fixed and it's the tear down video but I still got what I needed from it just from watching.
Good video. This is what I was looking for. I'm going to do mine today. I have a 2005 Kodiak, it sat for 5+ years. The old gas came out looking like iced tea, brownish. I have drained it and refilled with non-ethanol Sunoco. Hopefully I'll be riding today.
Dude your video save my butt thank you very much for posting this it is a Very detailed and educational video!
I’ll have to watch it again and pause it as I rebuild my carb.. lol.. Thank you!!!
Thanks for posting, informative 👍

Good job
Great video! Any idea what may cause random throttle acceleration with an 05 BigBear 400 carb.
Thanks
Thanks for an excellent video! Two questions. Do you have a link to a specific carburetor kit and diaphragm that you would use? Also are the aftermarket carburetors any good? I have had very poor results with some aftermarket carb kits. 1996 Yamaha 400 Kodiak thanks.
Thanks for that informative video. Do you know what the small jet is on the intake port?
Yes I got the sequence of the tiny washers on the diaphragm plunger messed up and discovered that after I re-installed the carb.
I see the idle screw but what other screws can be used to make adjustments? Is there a pilot screw?
How many turns does the throttle cable spring set screws need to be from out?
Any advice for a 2002 Yamaha big bear that will start. Rev super high. Backfire and then die? And not crank back easily? I need some serious help. Either that or I’m about to buy a new carb and throttle cable. I’m tired of messing with it.
What about the 2 jets at on the side of the carb. On the intake side. Seems to look like 2 jets about halfway up the carb at 9 and 3 o clock. Does not seem to be a way to remove them. What are they for. Is there a way to remove them? Are they important?
Do you have any diagrams that outline the connections and where they go?
I’m about to clean a 2003 660 Grizzly. Hopefully similar 😊
Close enough that you’ll get the idea. Some of the specifications wont be quite right, but you’ll get it. We do have some Grizzly 660 video and will be coming out with more soon.
Thanks for watching and the comment. Have you watched some of our other videos on this same model? Also if you have need parts check out: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports
My quad is choking when i give it gas idle is fine i can go like 15 or 20 km could it be my float?
I like the video just wish it went through breaking down the entire carb completely, I got a few parts that came out when I flipped it over that I’m not sure which port/hole they came out of
Doesn't this video go through it completely?? Lemme know. Thanks for watching!!
@@MidNebraskaMotorsports it cover the majority but I was hoping to see the seat screw taken off and seat taken out along with the air fuel mixture screw
Had a bad gas situation that forced a carb clean. Got it to start on choke. But will not idle and backfires with throttle. Is that a problem with the pilot jet or the mixture screw?
Made progress with mine, I cleaned the carb and it went from dying instantly to running but now it won’t stay running. Could it be a clogged fuel line/ filter or something else with the carb?
Might have a clogged fuel petcock (screen I believe on it). More than likely though there is still a little something in the carb. I would pull the bowl and remove the pilot. Also make sure you 've got good gas. Also make sure there isn't any debri in the bowl when removing it. Let us know what you find. Thanks for watching and the comment. Let us know if you have any questions or need parts: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports
I cleaned mine so many times and it will not go past half throttle, yet if I throw some starter fluid in there it revs right up. The only way to get it psst half throttle is to choke it
@@MidNebraskaMotorsports bought a new diaphragm and it didn't fix it. Bought a new carb and it did. Got me
If my kodiak when I let go gaz it back fire but if choke on or i brake it don't back fire what could it be
I am a little confused by your question but I would have to say you have an air leak or pilot jet issue. Might be a deeper problem. Valves / timing, but I would start with the carb issue. MAKE sure you can see all the way through your pilot jet. Also spray carb and check cleaner on and around the intake boots. If you atv revs up, you have an air leak. Let me know what you find.
So is the carburetor the same as on the grizzly 350?
Nope different carburetors. They all looks similar from a distance and honestly if you are just watching to learn how to clean this video will work great, but I wouldnt swap the 350 and 400 carbs. Let us know if you need an OEM carb: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports
I just cleaned my carburetor today and I got some carb cleaner on the diaphragm do you think that will cause issues
Maybe
Same carb for 1999 kodiak 400?
HMMM, similar but not identical. I should have videos on the 99 Kodiak 400. Check them out!!
