- This week I'm out in my local woodland in an attempt to photograph the last of the Autumn colours and testing out the @kentfaith.official @kfconcept X284-C4 Carbon Fibre Tripod
I explain my reasons for looking for a lighter tripod and give you my honest thoughts on this Tripod from Kentfaith K&F Concept.

Nice photos, Martin, looking forward for your next adventure. Cheers !
Thank you Sorin
As always mate you smashed woodland photography yet again soke lovely images from there 👌
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it.
Nice photographs Martin. You’re too good at this woodland stuff.
Thanks so much mate, not much else to photograph round this way, so woodlands are my go-to
A really enjoyable video and lovely images. Cheers, Keith
Thanks Keith 🙂
Great video mate. I've gone to a.ligjter tripod made by Benro these days. I can't be bothered anymore with these heavy/tall tripods. Love the first image where you literally filled the entire frame with that beautiful tree. The image at 6:20 is a stunner as well! Always a great watch Martin!
Thanks mate, I do like my simple woodland scenes. It definitely helps packing lighter, especially for us vloggers, carrying all the extra equipment. Which Benro are you using?
Brilliant video and great shots mate. Loving the tripod by the way, I want one 😁❤️👍
Thanks mate, honestly very happy with it, a great travel tripod
Nice one Martin, lovely images. Like you I have spikes on my tripod. they really make a difference stability wise out in the landscape. I've found the 75mm spikes to be best as shorter ones tend not to cut through the under-growth enough resulting with a spring-ish stance. Thanks for sharing mate.
Thanks mate, spikes make a huge difference, the ones that came with my Benro tripod were far too short though, these new ones are about 70mm and really dig in.
Hi Martin I think you summed up successful woodland photography, simplify the image. I like you love using my telephoto lens in the woodland to pick out those intimate scenes. I love the first image that you took, that's my sort of image. I also liked the one with the stunning blaze of colour behind (I can't remember where it was on the time line) but it looked like the trunk of a pine tree with a Beech sapling behind it, again a very simple image. You also proved that you don't need mist to photograph woodland 😊
Thanks Paul, glad you enjoyed it, I do love these more intimate and simple scenes, woodland photography needn't be difficult and fog definitely isn't needed (most the time). The telephoto is a must in my bag wherever I am.
Would that tripod be sturdy enough for Sony 100-400 or Tamron 35-150 lenses with body? Here in Finland it is 179€
@@hannuhaapala3890absolutely, I was using a sigma 100-400mm in this video, it supports up to 16kg in weight.
Nice one Mr, always said Bears belong in the woods Ha-Ha !... some lovely colour there, so when's the Christmas giveaway ???? 🤣😂😜👍
Thanks mate, I do feel in my happy place in the woods 😂 Christmas giveaway? You've found the wrong channel.. I can direct you to another channel that does such a thing hahaha
@@MHLandscape lmao 🤣 😉👍🏻
Lovely images. The second image I prefer the landscape version, I think it gives that oak tree branch room to breath. Also, and this probably happens a lot, but as you were giving that last piece to camera I was shouting "behind you". Was there another composition there? Maybe, but that's the magic of woodland photography, we all see different things.
Thanks Tony, agree with the landscape photo over portrait. That last bit I assume you are referring to that line of conifers? I did look at that back on the video and wondered if there was a comp there 😂 I do it all the time. Worth a revisit I think.
@@MHLandscape yeah, those dark conifers with the light at the end of the tunnel
Nice one mate. Will have to check out the geared head as I’ve been thinking of one for a while now but don’t want to go back to the L bracket & so need one that will work with the Ulanzi twist ring without any compromise. Lovely images once again.👌👍
Thanks Mark, I've been looking at those twist rings, they look great, from what I can tell in the pictures I don't think you would have any issues with any geared head. The Kentfaith one is very good, took a few trips out with it since getting it and it's still very solid.
Cheers Martin. I have to have a lever head as opposed to a rounded knob as it won’t fully make it to the portrait position due to the rounded knob. If I reverse it, no problem as nothing gets in the way.👍
Aha, makes sense, yes the geared head twist knob is the opposite side, it's taken some getting used to mind.
If you get in quick, there's an 18 percent discount at the moment, i just got the one up from this at 299.00 for 246 quid
Bargain!
