I shelled out for the box set in 2016 when I was at a games convention. It is a great treasure of course and you get a sturdy cardboard simulacrum and all sorts of physical extras but you get the campaign in five softbound books. I can understand why they have chosen to go with hardbacks in the new release.
I really appreciate the positive feedback, thank you! With such a niche game it can be hard to tell if the videos are actually useful or not, so comments like this really help to keep me motivated. I'm working on another "How to Run" scenario breakdown that should be out next week so stay tuned :)
Hi Zac, thanks so much for your videos! They are very helpful. Are you planning to do a "How to run..." of this mega adventures? (like the horror in the orient express, masks of nyarlathotep, or mountains of madness). I whish I had seen your video before buying this edition, because as you mentioned, I was very disappointed with its price tag, particularly when compared with how good the Masks of Nyarlathotep new edition is. Many thanks! great content
Dropping a comment here to help out. I definitely enjoy the videos you’re making. Content reviews are a good niche for sure, maybe a video on how you run your digital campaigns would be a fun project? I’ve been running the Peru section of Masks of Nyarlathotep on Roll20 and would be curious to see how you manage handouts/maps/combat etc. looking forward to whatever you make next though!
I've noticed pixelated art in some of their other books. What's the deal with that? It's quite unfortunate. Even if there is no higher resolution version of the asset, it's possible to use filters to artificially add detail when resizing.
Your channel is really excellent. It is perfect for GMs. Perfect contect, super organized, and very symphatetic!
They really should do these in colour at some point, but its one of the largest campaigns they do i think, im sure it offer lots of fun and study
In Italy the translation of these two books is in color and not in black and white 🤔

Really was a bit dissapointed when I received it that is was not a full color just like Masks. Still an amazing story though.
