Because of the Bills’ great 3-0 start, it got a lot of people riding a high that had them forgetting what this team still is. Which is a team going through a small rebuild.
These last 2 games showed it by showing us that when the Bills face a more talented team they will struggle. This was never going to be a SB potential team. Yesterday Houston was handing them the win but Josh and the coaching staff didn’t want to take it.
The best thrower in football and he goes 9/30? If he was the best even with his WR he wouldn’t have gone that it’s clear Allen is a WR dependent QB but they can’t admit it.

I'm putting the Bills crap show on Terry Pegula. He is the owner, 2 years ago he had a decision to make. McDermott Daboll who do you want? Buffalo is coming off of the 13 second game. An astute owner who wants the best has to say do I want to lose Daboll and his connection with Allen my franchise QB. But he didn't and left it up to the guy who was brought in by McDermott. The Daboll Allen connection was up there with Reid Mahomes. As far as the last game a rookie play caller got schooled again. Plus, your only WR who can separate is injured, thank you Beane.

This is the 4th place team in a 16 team conference. It’s true to say they are not great but remember most of the other teams are even worse. That’s a big reason why they don’t have a sense of urgency to upgrade the offense. The 2 teams they just lost to are 2 of 4 difficult road games they have this season. They will most likely win the division and lose quickly in the playoffs. It’s also no coincidence that the 4 division leaders have Mahomes, Lamar, Stroud, and Allen.
Correct. I think anyone expecting a trade for WR is going to be disappointed. They know what they are and seem content with it. #1 seed is not on their radar. Not that it matters cause I don't see enough talent on this roster.

Speaking as a Bills fan, this is basically who they are. Beat up on the downtrodden/lesser competition and get outclassed/outcoached by the upper level playoff teams. Josh still wants to hunt for the big play with a WR group that isn't talented enough to create open space. Josh is taking his licks now and will eventually drag this group into a wild card win and then get trounced by the Chiefs/Ravens.
This season yeah so far, but some people are acting like it’s always how it’s been but that’s not true. If anything they played down to their competition too much last year

Josh Allen is one of my favorite players but he’s not ‘very accurate’. When he’s on, he’s the most dynamic QB in football but he’s closer to a dual threat QB than a pure passer. Texans probably should have won this game by 10 or more. Stroud made some critical mistakes after playing a near perfect game earlier.
The linebacker made a good play on that interception. On the replay, I can see why it fooled CJ as he was essentially covering two guys at once. No penalties in the first half, they were flying in the second. It certainly had a impact.
Why wouldn't they trade for Cooper? It would fit the cap better and we would probably just have to give up a 4th.
Finally, there is enough Bills tears to fill my coffee mug and satiate my thirst. ;) Cheers.

CJ played well first 3 quarters but literally looked like a buffoon with the game on the line. Interception on Buffalo 12, fumble at his own 15, took an intentional grounding costing them FG range before pinning Buffalo at 3. CJ sucked in the 4th qtr when it mattered..stop tooting his horn like he's special,
GM & HC are the major problem for Buffalo. 7 years and they cant build an offense around a Franchise QB. Head Coach constantly messes up in the big moment. Its obvious to everyone except the Owner.

Sean McDermott is a good HC, but he should be let go if Bills don’t make the Super Bowl. They have an all time great QB in his prime, and it would be a shame if they don’t win a superbowl with him.

Old Bills fan here.. I'm so glad to hear these guys talking like this, it really takes the pressure off. Sure, we started the season killing it. That was a bit of a surprise. With all the new pieces it should have taken longer to click, and maybe that was more of a problem than a good thing. No team, that I know of has gone XX - 00 since the 1972 Fish. So it's time to add/subtract/tune and get on with the season. All this talk is just blah blah blah. It's the same with every team, things will look different a little later. One thing that stands out with the Bills is Dawson Knox and Curtis Samuel. Between those two guys, the Bills are paying about 17 million dollars this season. In 5 games, they have 12 receptions, 78 yards and 0 touchdowns. Even though the Bills started 3-0, this smells of a dysfunctional offense.

I've been a Josh Allen fan since the combine, but even I have to admit that he screwed the pooch so hard against the Texans, I'm surprised PETA isn't protesting outside the Bills headquarters. Sure, he was just barely off on most of the passes, but cumulatively speaking, it turns into a Cluster-Eff. Combine JA's poor performance with Joe Brady's Dorsey-esque play calling, this is what we get. The difference in play calling between weeks 1-3 and weeks 4 and 5 is insane.
I won’t be shocked if the AFC East champ is below .500 because of mediocrity shown by teams like Buffalo. As a result, don’t be surprised if New England or Miami won it with Drake Maye or Tua saving the season while everyone else is falling apart.
Trading for Davante would make them better this year. But I think going all in for this season would be a mistake. Keep the draft pick, build your team. I don’t think Adams takes you over the top and wins you a Super Bowl

For real, there's still 12 games left in the season. Last season they were also 3-2 after week 5 and those two losses were to the Jets and the Jags of all teams. Then they went on to go 11-6. This time they lost to 2 great looking teams. All in all not so bad for what we all expected would be a rebuilding season.

If you think about what a concussion is and how bells works....its fitting, maybe moreso than what people realized when the saying first came to be.
It's not the impact with your skull and the ground that gives you the concussion. It's the impact with your brain and your skull or just your brain getting jostled around too much. So those fluffy helmets may make people watching feel better but they wont necessarily eliminate or come close to eliminating concussions because your brain is floating in your skull so any sudden movement can give you a concussion.

Bills, Texans, Ravens, and Chiefs are the best teams in their divisions in the AFC. None of them are playing consistently or dominantly right now. Anybody being honest wouldn’t bet against them to be in the playoffs.
Luckily for the bills the rest of the east sucks. The west looks chippy but very hit and miss and the north is always a bloodbath but the browns are sitting this year out. The rest of the wildcard slots could go to anyone at this point. It's a weird year

As a Texans fan, I'm still waiting for them to starting putting a full 60 minutes together. Hasn't happened yet. It can look like the first half, too often looks like the second. At 4-1, I'll take it but we're gonna need to be better in short order. Schedule is about to get a lot tougher.

They are also NOT well coached. I’d actually argue that coaching or lack there of cost is the last 2 games.
I think Josh needs to be reigned in/focused more on the game plan. It's easier to get away with lack of preparation vs. lesser competition, but too often he thinks he can will his way through any defensive game plan. It's just not that easy. I thought he had learned but it seems he has more learning to do. He should watch Mahomes play a few more times and see the difference. Take what they give you.

I have watched some locker room speeches after games won and I think there is still some issues there. They do miss Diggs skill set, I think some players who saw Diggs gripes with play calling are still in the locker room and thus the team is not as unified as past seasons. Not sure JA has the right personality to lead a locker room (needs a charismatic coach to help him), he is a good dude and player, but leadership is a God given skill that idk if he has it.
How many of the people commenting here actually watched the game yesterday? Probably not many including these two a career backup QB a Minnesota super fan all of a sudden wearing the gear when the team is good. Allen had four catchable passes that were dropped a catch at the end of the half that wasn't challenged and three incomplete passes when he most likely was concussed at the end of the game. This is the problem with commentators that don't watch the games and just look at stats. The game last week and this week was lost by the coaching staff and bad play calling

What gets me is no I’m a bills fan. We won the turnover battle two or nothing and we still couldn’t win and of course the guy hits a 59 yard field goal. But whatever.
Because Houston beat you and on that day CJ was a much better QB, turnovers and all.

Allen came in with 55 to 58% rate and they got Diggs and others to get that number up. He is a high completion QB if he has possession receivers.
They should have run the ball more against the Texans. Davis is supposed to be the change up. Samuels is supposed to be the gadget player.

I thought they drafted Coleman to be that guy …but they don’t even use him

Coleman does not get open thats why. He gets no separation. His only asset at the NFL level will end up being a big body jump ball redzone target.
