Fabulous engineering. To make a contraption that hides on the pants, allows him to move freely and the. Support his whole weight... Thats a piece of magic all on its own. Everything else was pretty obvious, but his levitation bit was remarkable. As was the quality of the pantomime with the chair. That really sold it.
Jay S way too old school. Carbon fiber custom molded prosthetics. Just as strong, half the weight, fully moldable and can easily install hinge points and steel bottoms for attaching to the electromagnet under the rug.
Who cares about the magic behind the act, can we talk about how impressive his body acting was when pretending like the chair was floating away? The stillness and control of the chair really makes it look like as if another force is acting on it besides him
@@korana6308 great example of ironic. I'm no magician far ftom it but idiot boy obviously never seen a street proforma either. Still brilliantly executed though
This was so fun to watch, I thought I want to see more in the middle of the act and thank God it didn't just end there and definitely more incredible stuff came after. Really great work, Danny! Congratz!
Wow this was one of my favourite acts in the series that I've watched so far!! Just so beautiful and funny, it didn't really detract at all that they said they knew how you did it
the tricks themselves are great, but something doesnt click. The stage persona, the real persona, the music used, all of it, something completely different... not sure
Agree, there's a disconnect. Rock solid magician in my opinion, BUT the performance was levitating awkwardly somewhere between a comedic and dramatic performance. On second thought, maybe that's okay though. I'm just happy to be able to watch cool magic basically anytime I want! Yay Internet!
Yes. FU involves many novice magicians with amazing ideas. Like watching an indie film, or a local college theater. Great ideas lacking performance. Still fun, it's all good.
3:32 watch his left leg--the lower pant leg. there's a structural prop in there. probably has a hinge behind the knee and support going up the back of the thigh all the way up to the butt. Penn's the talk about building and walking was code for him being impressed that Danny built it himself and that he could even walk normally while wearing it as traditionally the prop is just a bent steel bar for static street performance instead of being mobile while wearable.
Wow!! That tie act takes me WAY back!!! Oh man what show of my youth were on?!?! 🤔🤔🤔 lol! I remember the bit so well, and I also never followed you or heard of you again until today which in a back-handed sort of way tells me that you did something right if I remembered it all these years later!! Great stuff sir 👔🎩👍🏼👍🏼
Normally I dont get to happy with these since I se the logic behind it to fast BUT this was just to perfect to be true, I could not believe he made that so I was looking for other ways and got confused. I was WoWed by this Danny so thank you =D! Thats all we really want when we se new "mind tricks" 😊
I was familiar with a bunch of what he was doing or could at least piece it together but man I love it when Penn breaks it down in that magician's code
You can see the rug lift up when he was "sitting" and would move around. I think he has some frame in his legs and theres a powerful magnet under the rug keeping his shoe stuck to the rug.
never seen this trick done with a mechanism that can be moved around in. that is awesome . gotta watch it back to see if he does the trick both times on the same spot on the carpet.
What I think was great is he didn't really try to fool them as much as he wanted to entertain everyone. Sure, he could have put together a new trick that used a principle P&T hadn't seen before. But a perfect new effect like the blocks comes around rarely and a less elegant novel trick wouldn't have been as entertaining. I loved it, I thought it was terrific!
@Blue Sky Good body performance (like a pantomime) or already using the click-in stand in the carpet. The trick is a modification big Michael Jackson's patent.
Yeah, also they never show the feet shortly before or after he keeps them stationary, either they're out of frame or straight up cut somewhere else. A bit annoying to watch this one tbh.
@@HolyDude02 Glad you mentioned them being stationary. Whichever foot is on the brace is actually floating slightly, and looks completely unnatural. It's a trick that doesn't hold up to close inspection.
@@HolyDude02 never liked the camera work on FU, feels like they are trying to be a generic talent show. For me most magic tricks should be done from a single camera unless the audience NEED to see it from another angle to show its not a forklift behind a curtain.
A big heavy steel plate with a carpet sleeved on top, shoes with slots on the bottom just like how MJ did his lean back, thin clear wire wrapped at an anchor point to fool the chair gravity and a dash of slight of hand in the appetizer. Brilliant
Knowing a bit about magic (and Michael Jackson) I could figure out the major steps, but I agree with some of the other comments that your stage presence left something to be desired. Overall great routine though, what you did takes real skill.
I feel like your performance would be at least twice as good if you said nothing and just work on your facial expressions. The music is too loud and we can see what is happening. No reason to comment awkwardly. Great tricks, nice performance, well executed otherwise, big respect!
I think (gathered from past experience working on these kinds of programmes!) that those things won't have been Danny's choices... Those elements look, sound and feel like a producer's decision to ask him to 'cha't throughout and the music was probably switched over and edited in post. Although I may be wrong... Put me right, Mr Cole :-) !!
His tie klipped on his shirt. And there is a rollop device on the side in the insode of his jacket. You can see him removing the clip from the shirt right before he rolls up the tie. The he takes out the tie from his jacket and pretends it comes from the magazine. The Coat hanger he hides one(paper rolled up) behind his arm. The other one bend up in the coat hanger. At the end he has an extra tie hidden in his shirt where he removes the cloth whil rollind down the paper.
Some people in the comments here are being kinda rude to you saying stuff like, "pretty sloppy," " was a dead giveaway," "cheap street 'magic'." I think you did an amazing job. I was baffled at how you could do that last bit given how easily you were moving around. Also, the tie just *popping* out of existence at the start made me shook for the whole act.
Danny doesn't need to talk through his act. I feel like he could do a silent performance as teller does
RIM 711 yes there is a strong element of mime in his act.
He does a silent version of this act. You can find it on UA-cam.
I was thinking the same.
Walking around like normal with those metal contraptions in the pants is magical by itself.
Jay S way too old school. Carbon fiber custom molded prosthetics. Just as strong, half the weight, fully moldable and can easily install hinge points and steel bottoms for attaching to the electromagnet under the rug.

@TheHound so, your that guy..
@TheHound not sure where you read he was fooled by it. He simply stated the act is one of his favorite. You, however, are one of my favorite fools.
I like both the acts too! I don’t think anyone really knows how he does it

So, nobody thought the music was too loud?

Yes, music was too loud. Too much talking.
Say what?
It’s loud so you don’t hear the machines
WHAT?
I think it could be more funny if you did it silent though.
Great point. It would be several levels better. Would it be even better to go full Marcel marceau with the face paint and clothes?
I agreed great act, but whenever he made his little comments like "what" "I dont know why that happened" etc. It kinda took me out of the immersion.
I much prefer talking
Totally agree- this would have MUCH better as a visual only.
Agree... Excellent point.
