    I realized this recently too ❤ and had a convo with God about self-acceptance. My hair is thanking me for embracing it.

    “No kinks in sight” 😂😂 Girl!! 😆 That was the shock from doing a big chop after having relaxed hair most of my life. Kinks everywhere! There wasn’t enough gel to smooth or curl them! 😂 There’s so much freedom and beauty when we begin to love and accept our hair. Growth, length, fullness and just overall good health is what we get in return. Thank God that I finally, fully got here. I’m enjoying my hair way more! It’s not a chore to care for, but a privilege. You told no lies Sis! Great video, as usual! 🥰❤️🌺

    Wash and gos don’t work for me either!!! The tangles after and work required to attain the style was crazy!

    • @LimitlessBloom
      @LimitlessBloom  2 місяці тому +5

      Yeah I’d love to rock some coils but the effort is just not worth it. I’ve still got all the products I bought for my wash and go experiments lol cost me £100ssss. The doux, jello shot, curly magic, inner sense 😅. I only lasted 6 weeks with the trials and cut my losses 🤣

    • @NaturalDrAmanda
      @NaturalDrAmanda 2 місяці тому +1

      OMGosh 😳 Yes!!! Those no oils and butters people convinced me that this was the path to hair freedom and rejuvenation. Then after 1 month of misery trying to get my coils to last, I defaulted to roller sets. My hair looks adorable 🥰 like this, but it also won’t last long. Stretched styles work best.

    • @LimitlessBloom
      @LimitlessBloom  2 місяці тому

      Yeah I think it’s only great for those who have time, are looking for curl definition and don’t really care about retaining length cos those frequent trims are wild lol glad you found out quick . I’m still in awe of these people claiming to have 7 days wash and go hair! Must be magic cos mine could never😅 and huge yess to stretched styles. Definitely the way forward for most of us 👌🏾💕

      @@LimitlessBloom the problem is, of course my hair grows but I feel like it still breaks. I just took down a three month protective style and honestly 😅 I don't know if it's just me but I didn't see much growth. I try to be gentle and to love my hair but I'm not seeing the level of growth I want to see. I do what I can but still I'm not seeing what I want to see. The length isn't just lengthing 😩 do I just keep on being patient? Coz it's been said that hair grows slowly.

      How long have you been growing your hair? And what’s your routine?

    • @davitatukura2520
      @davitatukura2520 Місяць тому

      @@LimitlessBloom I've been natural all my life. Never relaxed actually. I was on low cut as a child but my mum began to plait my hair as I grew. So my hair has never really grown past my neck 😅. So yes, I wash my hair once in two weeks, I moisture every other day, I scalp massage, I use my oils, butters and herbs. I sleep with a silk scarf. There are some things I'm slacking in coz of short time and I'm beginning to get tired and discouraged 😅😩. But yes, that's basically it.

    • @LimitlessBloom
      @LimitlessBloom  Місяць тому

      @davitatukura2520 that’s great. how do you wear your hair most of the time? Why do you moisturise so often and how do you moisturise your hair? What did you use? Finally do you deep condition every 2 weeks when you wash your hair? And do you do protein treatments every 6-8weeks? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure out the details of your routine

    What gel do you use for your up dos?

    • @LimitlessBloom
      @LimitlessBloom  2 місяці тому +5

      All the styles from 2016 to 2019 I just used heavy creams , oils/butters and water to set my hair. I always styled on damp hair and finish off by spraying my hair with lots of water and brush it down then tie it with a scarf for at least 15mins but overnight gives the best results. More recent years, I may or may not use uncle funky curly magic which is a very moisturising soft hold botanical gel. I love it because it doesn’t flake and I don’t have to wash my hair to change styles lol that was the main reason I decided to not use gels cos of the strong hold and the residue once you take down the style

      Definitely listening to your hair helps a lot. I think a lot of us ignore what our hair has been trying to communicate to us for so long so we struggle to reach our hair goals. Hopefully this will help 💕

    What is your opinion on trimming the ends of your hair?

    • @LimitlessBloom
      @LimitlessBloom  2 місяці тому +3

      I don’t see anything wrong with it if the hair is damaged and or if the person wants to shape up their hair. However I do agree that if length retention is your goal then you have to keep the cuts/trims to a minimum by actually looking after your ends so you do not need to cut them. I’m actually doing a personal challenge to see how long I can go without cutting my hair( I started after cutting off ALL my damaged ends which is the best foundation for this challenge really). My hair is usually due for a trim every 3- 4 months but in order for this to work, I’ve changed my routine to keep my ends very healthy. I Will make a video about it to share results from the first 3 months then keep doing updates every 3 months. Really interested to see what will happen because I definitely need the inches now that I’ve cut off half of my hair 😅

      I am trying to retain length so instead of trimming, I am seeking options of how to care and maintain my ends.
      Looking forward to your video on the topic.😊🙏🏽

      @LimitlessBloom  2 місяці тому

      Haha thank you so much. It’s definitely just medium thickness but when it’s damp and shrunken looks super thick. It loses all this thickness when straightened and that’s why I really have no desire to straighten it 😅.
