We'll I feel like this album doesn't prove how good he is, logic is a very different artist he has a lot of different sounds but he always has a good message and good lyrics and bars and good beats apbut you have to listen to all of his work to really se the true beauty in logics music (:- my opinion
This is why Quint is the man, He does not listen to music for techinicallity like that white nerd does talking about High- Hats and Bass and whatever. He shows us if the music makes him feel good and that is what we should care about.
Who are you to say what we should all care about? I like both Quint and Fantano. Quint is more off a hype and getting lit channel while Fantano is analytical. I like seeing both sides
Rather have a J. Cole and Logic album with no other features besides those two, than the rumored J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar album which will probably never come out, tbh. Logic and J. Cole are both story tellers, they both have somewhat of a soulful aspect to their songs at times, beat-wise they're similar, Logic has clear influences from J. Cole, this would be an absolutely dope collab, instead everybody wants this big collab from two rappers who have different styles and have different tones and shit to their music etc. Cole and Kendrick aren't very compatible. Forbidden Fruit was a great song, but a collab album is two artists together, and Forbidden Fruit was a J. Cole song which featured Kendrick. Logic has also said that he's a huge fan of Cole's, and looks up to him in a sense.
Darrell Green Jr I love Kendrick btw. GKMC is by far my favorite album ever next to 2014 FHD, they're just not compatible, and if it really is in the works, with Kendrick's legal problems hes facing right now, we won't get a quality body of work anytime soon.
Neither of them are as complex or nuanced with their storytelling as Kendrick tho. There's a reason literary professors are now using his work in the classroom. Cole and Logic aren't included in any university-level curricula
dap Well, for starters Kendrick is waaaayyyyy more popular than both of them, so professors wouldve come across his work much easier than Logic or J. Cole's work. Secondly, they arent trying to be super deep, they use metaphors and extended metaphors, but thats about as deep as they get, mostly it's clever little jabs, one-two liners, stuff like that, in addition to their storytelling ability. They have relatively simple lyrics for anybody with any sort of literary analysis skills whatsoever, and thats the point. Theyre lyrics are clever, but simple, not meant to be intricate and complex
Way too much biting going on in Under Pressure for me to enjoy it. The guy has got the skills but I don't want to be reminded of Kendrick and Drake when i'm listening to Logic.
That was a dope review, I was literally in tears during break time! After RTJ2, you should do the 3 new Drake tracks. Then Shady XV (Nov 24) and PRhyme (Dec 9) when they drop.
Logic is an amazing artist. He's been working. Yall remember how long he took to record the album? A year, well what of whats being released now was recorded awhile back & is just being released on features? I don't see how he's been releasing " Garbage " when the only songs i've seen him been featured on after the album was Tryna' Tryna' by lil durk & The one by Zed. If you guys refering to his freestyles, yeah, i've noticed he repeats himself, but its all for the radio. Not saying he's a different person on & off camera, cause he's a humble ass dude. I met him after a show he did on his Under pressure tour. Point is, this dudes working & deserves the success.
2014 Forest Hills Dr. and Under Pressure are tied for me as my favorite albums of the year. Either way 2014 was a big as fuck year for hip-hop and loooooved this project.
I'm just curious what other work you're speaking on. I mean there were some bad albums but Cilvia Demo was dope as hell, Oxymoron was good, My Krazy Life was some cool gangster shit. I personally enjoyed the Underachievers album, Jhene Aiko dropped. Idk I felt like there was a lot of good stuff that happened last year.
When Logic was making this album, he had in mind the fact that this was his first real impression in the industry, therefore he strayed from his usual "authenticity" to deliver a sound that he thought would be more well received. While this is just my opinion I can almost say for sure that Bobby himself would agree with me. I'm sure that this upcoming album will re-instate his authentic, original style and flow.
Soul Food, Under Pressure and Gang Related had me hella hyped. He can definitely improve 'project' and 'concept' wise but Logic is one of the best spitters hands down. His delivery and technicality is on point.
I love dis dude so much man! I was startin to feel like I was the only person that act like dis when I hear somethin good man. I just can't help it! :D
I've been with logic from the beginning and this video makes me real happy. I hope logic saw this video. makes me wonder what if feels like to see someone having a great time rockin out to ur jams. Logic is in my top 3. for sure.
ive always liked thatg logic is not scared to show who has influenced him, i can see why people twist that to "hes not original" but in the end he takes what hes learned and tweaks it a bit to make it his
Should've been album of the year in my opinion. Respect to JC but my boy Logic is the best lyricist in the game right now. Whether it be bragadocious raps or story telling. Either way, he's one of the legends of our time, and I can't wait to see how him, and the ratt pack progress.
I find it interesting how he mentioned super Earth and in Logic's new album he talks about a future in which people travel to super Earth. I wonder if Logic found a bit of inspiration in this video. Hmm
Honestly, Album is 8/10, great production, although some inspiration was from GKMC it's alright. Under Pressure, Buried Alive, and Growing Pains lll are crazy and dissecting the lyrics are ridiculous mindblowing imo. Logic has bars, but he has strayed away from his Young Sinatra days, and that is upsetting. I felt like the album should have 2 or 3 more songs as well.
Agreed; I remember the first time listening to this album and thinking how each song sounded very similar to current popular rappers. Mainly had a very heavy Kendrick Lamar type of delivery without the signature voice changes that KDot is known for, some J Cole on a few tracks, and of course the under pressure sample that is also used in Slim Thug's classic track "Like a Boss". Even though I heard the similarities between Logic's delivery I also appreciated how good it sounded so I gave it a pass, I do gotta say a lot of the songs wont last since they do feel like generic versions of KDot or J.Cole. Great album though and look forward to more of his stuff. Also I thought it was funny how loud Quint is while the music is on but pretty much whispers when he gives his final thoughts.
Gang related is to me the best track on the CD. And he down the last verse on Breakfast Club and it's really dope. I bought the deluxe edition and thought the bonus tracks were. Good. I heard him first on Sway's Five fingers of death freestyle which is now "Soul Food" on the CD. Then thought he did good on the BET Cypher. Definitely a fan! I'll go back and listen to his earlier stuff. Always good stuff Quint!
I can't believe I just spent 13 minutes watching a guy dance and eat fried chicken

"Under Pressure" is one of my favorite albums of 2014 and personal favorites ever. I was just really impressed with Logic and this album.
We'll I feel like this album doesn't prove how good he is, logic is a very different artist he has a lot of different sounds but he always has a good message and good lyrics and bars and good beats apbut you have to listen to all of his work to really se the true beauty in logics music (:- my opinion
under pressure was not that incredible. FHD and TPAB will forever be in debate about which one is the best of modern hip hop.
Mixsterrr Cool. I was just really blown away by Under Pressure and I wouldn't mind listening through the album the whole time again.
Esiah Gomez Personally, I would take TPAB over FHD, but, both are amazing projects. I would add MBDTF into that debate.
TPAB beats FHD imo
QUINT YOU BETTER BE REVIEWING THE SECOND ALBUM WHEN THIS SHIT COMES OUT.

This is why Quint is the man, He does not listen to music for techinicallity like that white nerd does talking about High- Hats and Bass and whatever. He shows us if the music makes him feel good and that is what we should care about.
there's two sides to every coin man
Are u referring to that needle drop guy bc I can't take his word for any reviews he does.
Blake Griffis But we all prefer heads over tails anyday.
Pros prefer technical ability
Who are you to say what we should all care about? I like both Quint and Fantano. Quint is more off a hype and getting lit channel while Fantano is analytical. I like seeing both sides

Rather have a J. Cole and Logic album with no other features besides those two, than the rumored J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar album which will probably never come out, tbh. Logic and J. Forbidden Fruit was a great song, but a collab album is two artists together, and Forbidden Fruit was a J. Cole song which featured Kendrick. Logic has also said that he's a huge fan of Cole's, and looks up to him in a sense.
Same I've been saying. And Kendrick and Krit would be a more logical collab.
Darrell Green Jr I love Kendrick btw. GKMC is by far my favorite album ever next to 2014 FHD, they're just not compatible, and if it really is in the works, with Kendrick's legal problems hes facing right now, we won't get a quality body of work anytime soon.

+Joe Dorben go look at Cole's album sales and UA-cam views, then try to tell me how much more popular Kendrick is than him

***** Overhyped? Of fucking course! My fellow Rattpack has been waiting 3 years for this album!
Way too much biting going on in Under Pressure for me to enjoy it. The guy has got the skills but I don't want to be reminded of Kendrick and Drake when i'm listening to Logic.
just thinking about this Logic and King Kendrick Lamar did a whole album together that would be dope
No that would never happen
Kameron Johnson Logic isnt on his level at all
Considering Logic ripped off Kendrick on many occasions, I doubt it/don't want it
That was a dope review, I was literally in tears during break time! After RTJ2, you should do the 3 new Drake tracks. Then Shady XV (Nov 24) and PRhyme (Dec 9) when they drop.
Switch up on Soul Food SOOO underrated
Dylan McChesney thankyou finally lol
Nah first beat is way better

Oh yeah 2015 is going to be an incredible year for sure.
+adsg Oh man....you are so right
"I thought I was struggling. I got it nice" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🔥
When Logic was making this album, he had in mind the fact that this was his first real impression in the industry, therefore he strayed from his usual "authenticity" to deliver a sound that he thought would be more well received. I find it interesting how he mentioned super Earth and in Logic's new album he talks about a future in which people travel to super Earth. I wonder if Logic found a bit of inspiration in this video. Hmm
PUPPY SIZED SPIDERS...... WTF WHAT NOW
If only quint knew how many workouts and broken chairs future albums would bring
Honestly, Album is 8/10, great production, although some inspiration was from GKMC it's alright. Have you ever thought on giving thoughts on the news? The bit about the spider was mad funny.

Great album though and look forward to more of his stuff.
Also I thought it was funny how loud Quint is while the music is on but pretty much whispers when he gives his final thoughts.
At 6:45 where he says "superearth out there somewhere" ..... Paradise #TheIncredibleTrueStory
Gang related is to me the best track on the CD. And he down the last verse on Breakfast Club and it's really dope. I bought the deluxe edition and thought the bonus tracks were. Good. logic is one of the best
Thanks for the reaction bro, loved it!
gang related best song on album
